Yes , I remember it in full color. The beginning credits actually says “ In technicolor “ . Wonderful movie, I have seen it a lot in my life ( I always wanted to look like Scarlet O’Hara ) now that I have an amazing idea of how to do it I might try.
As always so beautiful. I adore Vivian Leigh, such an exquisite and iconic beauty. She was the most beautiful of the “ Starlets “ of the Golden Age of films . This is really amazing.
Some of the epic ladies from Vikings would be really cool! Like Lagertha, Aslaug.. Of something from Lord of the Rings/the Hobbit (Tauriel, Arwen, Lady Galadriel).
Just the other day I was thinkin oh no what would you do if beauty beacons ended?! But i LOVE the sound of a fiction beauty beacon!! Please do Daenerys Targaryen
For B&W filming, many actresses chose brown lipstick shades as they would look most "natural" on screen. Vivien suffered from Bipolar disorder that ruined many of her future aspirations. I am so ADDICTED to your videos! :-)
The movie was in color. Lol. I went crazy when I seen this, I was so excited. I think Belle from Beauty And the Beast would be awesome. Also Tauriel from the Hobbit.
I'm so happy and excited about the fictional beauty beacons!!! I'll definitely try to think of suggestions, this is so exciting!!! Lovely video again, Loepsie!!
I love Vivien Leigh! Great video, Gone with the Wind is my favourite novel and movie. But the picture was in colour :O If you've only seen it in black and white I recommend you see it in colour for the best experience! :)
Yeyyy for the new series!!! would love to see Lulu (my nick name also) from final fantasy and mystique from x-men. Your are still my favorite channel to watch here on yt.
I will be so sad when this series ends. There are so many beautiful women from history not yet done! This was a lovely video though. my request is Queen Elizabeth 1 (1580's portraits), Veronica Franco and Bianca Capello.
I've been binge-watching this series and wondering if suggesting a Helen of Troy inspired look would be stretching the idea, but if you're doing fictional ones it would be ideal! Admittedly it may well be pretty close to the ancient Greek one you've already done, but still, worth a thought.
Love the hair!! Fictional Beauty Beacons sounds great, Eowyn's hair at Theodred's funeral in Lord of the Rings is beautiful, although I'm not sure how much you can really see under her veil.
my name is Vivian because of her :D she was gorgeous. Our name is a little bit different because here on Brazil people wouldn't say it right if it was with E instead of A, but this just makes her even more unique :D congratulations, everything is perfect
Viven Leigh wore red lipstick in gone with the wind, also, to get the rounded look in some of the scenes she wore a snood which were very fashionable in the era that the film was set. These are not meant to be criticisms, just explain why you found the rounded look difficult to obtain. I really enjoy your channel and think you are amazing for even attempting this topic :) Lovely !
Vivian Leigh probably used Cake Mascara to get the look of her eyes. It was a common look in the 1940. It is a black (or dark brown) cake of pigment, like a water color paint set. The would wet a mascara brush and rub it on the cake until the mascara would stick to the brush. Then they would brush the mascara into the eyelashes. They would rub a wet eyeliner onto the cake and line their eyes (fully or partially) with the same cake mascara. Since the cake mascara is not waterproof at all, It would quickly turn into that soft smudgy look you spoke of.
I think you kind of told on yourself not having ever seen the film when you said it was in black and white haha. I hope now, two years later, you've found time to actually watch it, it's a cinematic masterpiece and the hair and costumes are also fabulous! One of my favourite fun facts is that when the movie was filmed there were only something like nine Technicolor cameras in existence and they used ALL of them to make Gone with the Wind!
Sleeping Beauty/Aurora would be a great candidate for Beauty Beacons of Fiction, hence the title. Also Belle from BEAUTY and the Beast. You would look amazing as either!
Oh, Yennefer from The Witcher 3, I would adore to see a look on her! She has such an unusual look, you'd probably be able to capture it quite well! Or Triss or Ciri from the same game, as well as Keira, but definitely Yennefer!
What is the brand/color of your lipstick?? it's so pretty! I just discovered your channel, and I'm enjoying a binge watch. Thanks for sharing your talent!
Just a few suggestions...10's -- Mary Pickford 20's -- Louise Brooks 30's -- Jean Harlow 40's -- Veronica Lake 50's -- Marilyn Monroe 60's -- Cher! (Your hair is perfect!) 70's -- Farrah Fawcett 80's -- I've said it before, and I'll say it until it happens Brooke Shields! 90's -- Cindy Crawford
Ooooo love this. Since you love to do great hairstyles maybe for your fictional series you could do a Padme Amidala look, or a Princess Leia. Or Tauriel from The Hobbit or ..... Lisbeth Salander from The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Hua Mulan from the Ballad of Mulan there are so many ideas!
I'm not sure if there are any other Assassin's Creed fans, but I would love to see a tutorial on how to get Evie Frye's look :D I would also be happy for a tutorial on Hope's character, despite her not being a really popular assassin in the franchise... ^^
+Teresa True, true! ^^ I just thought it would be nice to see how exactly to recreate her look being that I'm personally not the best at mimicking a character's style ^^"
I don't know if it fits the fictional beauty beacons Themen, but I'd love to See you recreate a look from one of Victoria Frances' pictures! I just love the style of those ;)
I love how you teach people about history as well as doing makeup tutorials. Never stop making videos! By the way, ik ben ook Nederlands, en ik wil graag weten of jij ook nederlandse filmpjes maakt?
I remember you once said how much you loved the look of the princess in your favorite fairytale movie.. (I believe it was Snow White or Cinderella? A Hungarian version if I'm not mistaken 😅) Could you do a tutorial on the look of that actress? 😁
For historical beauty beacons I'd love to see Julia Berenice or Cornelia Africana maybe, just that kind of ancient Roman hairstyle, or Ada Lovelace. Maybe you could try Emma Woodhouse or Jane Bennet for the fictional beauties? Both are described to be very good-looking (and we'd get to see some Regency looks!)
I'd love to see (for the fictional beauty beacons) the girls from heroes of olympus, gwen from the ruby red/sapphire blue/Emerald green books and katniss from the hunger games and omg there are so many that I'd love to see ❤❤❤🌹
Gone With the Wind was in full color! Love this series and all the work you put into each "episode"!
yes!!!
Yes , I remember it in full color. The beginning credits actually says “ In technicolor “ . Wonderful movie, I have seen it a lot in my life ( I always wanted to look like Scarlet O’Hara ) now that I have an amazing idea of how to do it I might try.
Love this series! Just a small note: Gone with the Wind was actually made in technicolour, not black and white :)

I think she might have meant the picture she was recreating ;)
Gone with the wind is one of the best ever movies! This is a beautiful look x
Nobody and I mean NOBODY could ever attempt to be as glamorous as Vivien Leigh...she was possibly the most beautiful woman I have ever seen
Ideas:

She's 100 now.

For B&W filming, many actresses chose brown lipstick shades as they would look most "natural" on screen. Vivien suffered from Bipolar disorder that ruined many of her future aspirations. I am so ADDICTED to your videos! :-)

There is something special on what you do. Like God wish you were doing that for us
I think you kind of told on yourself not having ever seen the film when you said it was in black and white haha. For fictional beacons, could you do one of the ladies from Vikings?
