    Going through this right now. Have an identity theft case against another individual in another state and that court is mishandling that so badly I want them to drop it. They are charging them with things that didn't happen and borderline 6th Amendment violation in my opinion because it's been way too long when they had all the evidence necessary presented to them on a silver platter. Also, any information I request has taken about two months before I get a letter from them. So I've basically told them I want to recant my statement and have said I would like to reimburse the defendant for any legal fee's they've incurred so far because I don't like what they are doing.

    What if i shot someone in self defense, he recovered but i dont want to press charges, how could i go about that.

    There has to be an injured party with first hand knowledge . The district attorney is not an injured party with first hand knowledge . They are blatantly screwing you.
