When you’re specific in what & how you want something reasonably prepared & the eatery does it the way you like it, you have better odds of getting a dish that will make you happy. (Like requesting beef chow fun without bean sprouts!). What the chef gave you to sample was salmon belly, the fattiest part of that fish. My favorite. But it should be wild caught salmon not the farmed salmon. You’ll get the most omega 3 from the salmon belly….
Dan, great food review. I was at the MGM Taps Sports bar in May. Sat at the bar and had the cheese burger, fries and tap water. ($21 not including tip) Bartender was not friendly and the over priced burger was just average.

She'll work and hold up your mic without complaining...Lol...you eat chicken wings like my wife. I'm surprised you didn use a knife and fork. I eat them like Tung! Chicken feet...it's good for your skin!....Salmon belly is my favorite part of the salmon. It tastes great when smoked. You can buy it at the "Asian markets" for about $2 a pound. Good stuff!

Hi Dan. 🙄 the food at Tap in Excalibur was a no no. Served undercook chicken wings n sauce on side not good. Onion rings overcooked, burger bun cold and meat dry. Was served tator tots when ordered fries. The server replaced with Luke warm fries and my dinner was horrible. Funny thing is that the place wasn’t busy at all!
If that happened to me, I would have called the manager over and asked to "refire" those, and given them specific instructions on how it should be. did you let them know?
I hear that all the time, about the funny stuff, I had many friends in the restaurant business, and sure, I heard about funny stuff, but when this happens to me, I tell the manager you see, and I never send things back for stupid reasons, it would be only DARN GOOD REASONS, and when you have undercooked CHICKEN, you kindly explain to the manager, and that is a non-funny stuff situation where they would be happy to refire, but if its like some stupid stuff like, the spice is not to your style, and you send it back, then you deserve funny stuff if it comes, u know what I mean? OR if you really concerned about funny stuff either way, just explain to the mgr and say you no longer wish to eat it and have them cancel your check, then just leave a nice tip and eat elsewhere.... WE ALL must speak up when things like this happens... cheers
