Dreamworld Australia had a disaster with a similar water ride it was river rafts and some kids died. As a result insurance rates for water rides now are unreasonable so at first Dreamworld put a canopy on each log to stop people standing up but then quickly just closed both the log and the raft ride it's profitable. This reopen of Timber mountain was all about making safety touch ups to get insurance. Glad this ride was saved and not destroyed.
The theme, the view, the scenery. Everything is perfect. This is probably my favorite amusement park ride ever. The only thing missing as I watched was a splash of water...and a beautiful girl sitting next to me. Thank you! :)
This is my favorite amusement of them All.It got better since I went last time. And even gets more excited on Halloween moments.

Back when I was in middle school, my classmates and I went on a field trip to Knotts. My best friends and I all went on that ride. Trust me, it’s way better than splash mountain.

They've now changed Splash Mountain. No more Song of the South characters. Total BS.
They still have the song of the South they’re not changing splash Mountain until 2024 or 2023 I believe

They will be changing splash Mountain to Princess and the frog here pretty soon because last time I went they just did a refurbishment for splash mountain so and it opened back up like two weeks ago so I don’t know when I’ll be but it will be turned into the Princess and the frog
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. This was my dad's favorite ride, I can't remember when we were last in CA; he passed in 2011.
My dad actually went to art school in LA around the time when Knott's started becoming an amusement park.
Loved going to Knotts berry farm in the past. Went about 12 years ago and was so disappointed most of the park had turn into fast rides. It wasn't the same fun place as it was years ago.

Originally the park was supposed to be themed around the history of Southern California. Unfortunately when Cedar Point bought the park it became just another amusement park.

Can remember the 1st time I road it back in 1970, my 1st time to drive 🚗 to Anaheim in my 64 Ford Falcon.
Was a straight 6 with 3 on the tree and going 65 was really good 👍 back then.
Great times back then even the old crocked house which is gone now.

I took my grandson there last Friday. I have been keeping track of his height and he finally was 36 inches tall. The operators would not let him (and me) ride =. It appears the mark on the post is higher than 36 inches. I waited in line 90 minutes.
Yeah most rides there they are very strict about how tall children are give him a few months, still a great park to walk around
It’s for good reason. Too many parents insist on letting their kids go on rides they shouldn’t and then are angry when the kid is severely injured or dies.
@@forfun4120 If they want the rider to be 37 inches then they should just say so. They shouldn't say 36 inches then put the marker at 37 inches.
@@ocadventures6154 It doesn't bother me that they are strict, just that my grandson IS 36 inches. I know how to use a tape measure. I wasted 90 minutes in that line.

I went to Knotts Berry Farm when I was little. Just before my mom, dad, brother, and I were ready to head out I begged to go on that ride 1 more time but at the very end I slipped under and got my dad soaked

It was made to seem like amusement parks would stay closed permanently due to COVID-19 but now look - the park is open again. People are out having fun. People out enjoying their lives. Me - I'm still stuck with COVID-19 restrictions

I was there a couple of weeks ago and I noticed that the flume that the log goes down on had no water. Yep, they were going down dry..
Usually if it a cold day they will control the water so u don’t get as wet or Soaked but when it’s a hot day to water will flow and you’ll get drenched or the pumps are broken

@@ocadventures6154 The interior shots are too dark to see. We understand that it wasn't a LOW LIGHT camera though. The lit areas of the video are wonderful though. Sometimes you just have to 'edit' footage shot with a super low light capable video camera with the quality of a 4K camera (with high resolution daylight capabilities) in order to capture the full experience.

I just use my hand😂, I don’t trust phone mounts or phone clamp stick, I would rather drop my phone out of my hand than have something metal and plastic break

Those look like the same logs I was riding in at Six Flags Over Texas in the early 80's! Buying surplus logs?
If I remember correctly, the guy who designed this ride had a period where he was almost obsessed with designing log rides, and so several parks have a log ride that was made by the guy. I could be wrong on that though. I do know there was a historical thing regarding this ride here on You-tube. If you can find it, it's worth a watch. I might go back and find it myself, since I can't seem to remember specifics.
That said, it could be that the Logs are made by a single company for these rides as well. It isn't a super big world for too many companies to take up, after all.

They need to fix those logs, they're leaking from the bottom, that why I don't like going on the log ride cuz of that, I rather go on splash mountain at disneyland

I used to love this ride, but it's not the same anymore! That new song that is constantly playing in the queue and throughout the ride becomes annoying, especially when you're standing in a line that doesn't move. Seems like after they altered the logs, the ride has become less efficient and uncomfortable.
We do females always scream on every single ride plus lig ride wasn't even high enough
some family disrespectful to me i was in line they should let me go in front of them this ride is my favorite I hope not see them again

Ehh, splash mountain got 3 drops although the first one on it , is a bit small. This one’s cool too tho.

This was the first of its kind, there would be no splash mountain without this legend.
