- A few months ago, SEGA released a new merch line on their online shop regarding Team Dark, but dubbed them as 'villains'. One of the pencilers of the Legacy branch of Sonic Paradox decided to make a few page joke comic regarding it, and then the audio director decided it should be dubbed!

I like the bit where he is the Time Eater for one panel and crushes the Phantom Ruby, though I also wish the fact that Shadow killed/destroyed the Jackal Squad be addressed though I guess that murderer bit was a part of it.

Mephiles, don't you realize the name of your store is one character away from "meth mart?" I'd consider pickin' another name, dude.
He is a villain, and according to this comic (and Ian Flynn (and much of the fanbase (and that one tweet the official Sonic twitter made))), the Time Eater, so I don't think he minds having his store associated with an illegal substance.

Like left over ripple of time. also In the early script for Sonic Forces, it was going to be revealed that Eggman made Replicas of Mephiles the Dark and would have used them at the Eggman Empire Fortress just prior to the final boss battle.

I honestly thought this was going to be a Sonic dub parody

At first I saw this as your common, comedy comic dub (and I have no problem with that, just to be clear) but wouldn't you know I was wrong.
This comedy based comic maintained a serious kinda dark and ominous feel to it and it really also had a heartwarming moment at the end when they took one of Shadow's most infamous lines and made it into something likable.
It also has Shadow develop more with Rouge and Omega like in the old days. (You know something Shadow is really lacking at the moment) Also poor Zavok even Sega isn't even trying to do him justice.
I love the inclusion of Silver, also was there ment to be some kind of joke there, cuase if so I don't know if I got it or not.
I do miss the SA2 Team.
