There are some people developing "D.O.R.F." rts game. It looks a lot like somebody wanted to make for KKND what Tiberian Sun is for C&C: an isometric sequel.
Especially when they were pretty campy, like in C&C and RA, haha. There's a really nice charm about them. I never played the first KKND, but I loved the second one, playing co-op on the PS1.

Such a nice touch that the VA for units changes when they become more veteran. Loved this game back in the days (and nothing has changed), though I was definitely a filthy mutie fan. Love me some monster trucks and giant missile crabs.
Still have the original boxed version ! :) Sweet memories… Years later I bought KKND2 - It was as a free game that came along with gaming magazine back in the days.

What developers do is increasing the pixels and forcing you to buy a new computer to play a shit game for $120 on the shelves and $40 4 months later because they can't sell. I remember purchasing this game for $5.00 from the cheap bin at Staples in 2000. Great game. This vid brings back NICE memories. I still have the oversized manual and CD to this day.

I just realized, after more than 25 years since the first time I played this game that "Krush Kill 'N Destroy" is what the Robot Mech and Spider Mech says in one of their attack voicelines.
"Oil Derrik Truck: Weapon: Ignorance of Danger "The oil truck drivers have a saying; 'sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.' And that seems to make them happy. They don't seem to realize this doesn't cover bullet fire, and we don't point it out to them, either." From the strategy guide.
The mutants are actually just bogans that evolved due to the harsh climate/environment as well as domesticating monsters. Contrary to common belief, these monsters are not products of nuclear radiation, but actually an evolutionary response to the harsh climate/environment of the Outback - they are hostile to humans, but not to bogans since most of these monsters instinctually recognize and maintain a symbiotic relationship as well as recognize evolutionary traits in bogans that are present with themselves creating a sort of familiarity.

It was on one of the demo disks. The units looked like dudes with big boots. I said: "Kids, don't go in small boots to war." The game was super charming, but I couldn't make so much sense of it. Also it was on euro disc so it was chopped version of the game. I love sounds and music of games. Factors that used to build up the sense of the game and its world. Here it's that the world might not be exactly fit, but we effin need to bite into it with strong will. What ever comes after is just another step we think about then. Something like that.
I remember I could not figure out first back then how to research for new units :D I think i made half of the campaign with the basic units. I was cursing so much. Then came the big revelation :D Anyways, I really loved this game even though at that time it was considered as a c&c clone.
There is no need to destroy enemy oil pumps, you can just extract oil from any oil pump, ther is basically no ownership functionality wise only color. Just let the enemy build the oil pumps for you.
Ironically the first version just spamming Shotgunner and Swat can get you through any difficulty. They are just too cost effective, high damage and self sustaining once they are veteran ranked.

there is a trick when we use spider. we can hold shift button and click on the attack area left and right to cancel out the attack delay so the spider would attack insanely fast.
there's a trick using the game's second infantry unit select all, hold alt to shoot and cancel then target the enemy all units will shoot at the same time like a "spike" in GW
Series 9 Agricultural robots. They went rogue after the crops got ruined by the war and now they see humans (mutated or not) as pests to exterminate. Their infantry units were more expensive but more durable and too big to crush.
@@Sonlirain yeah something like this. i just remeber one mission as evolved where i defended the ruins of my base with two elite rokettrooper and gained my money with one little pig...those two boys repelled attack after attack and i rebuild my base slowly... i think this was the longest mission in any strategy game i ever played ^^

Wiki goes like this : "The "Series 9" are advanced farming robots that have become sick of the Survivors destroying their crops and have taken it upon themselves to destroy all organic life, so they can finally farm in peace. When the Series 9 finally gained their own conscience, they became aware that the earlier robots (Series 1-8) were still following their last orders from the humans. The Series 9 robots decided to shut down the other model lines in order to complete their goal. They were active during the first war, but realized that pitchforks and wheelbarrows weren't going to do much against tanks and mutant Mastodons. They took the time to research Earth's old weapons and wars from history in order to adapt their tools to become formidable armaments. Offtop comment- Im searcing for one old game and always failing on finding it. Maybe I can try my luck here since its a very great old games channel. So what I remember is that the game begins with a cutscene where MC and his girlfriend are riding a horse near some creepy castle and they get attacked by some monsters, ending up with the girl getting captured. So the MC gets into the custle to find her. First stage is in the castle yard. Game has some sort of puzzles and also monster fighting mechanics. Also I remember MC having brown ponytail and graphics was like it was made of play-doh.
little big adventure? i don't remember the story, but the game play was isometric, you had all these stances like sneak/run/fight to approach different situations. also one of the very first games i played on cd-rom back then.
It was a great game, had some really problems getting to run on my computer when it comes out. I hope someone will make a new one. This has a very big balance problems when you work out that your own need one type of unit to win most of the late levels. I think it was the Sniper or SWAT that was total op, a big group could take out every other unit in the game easily.
The Australian-American accents really bring me back! As well, I was reminded how hard it is to use rocket infantry due to their inaccuracy low ROF and long flight time for their projectiles. No good on moving targets! Good against buildings, I guess. And when it comes to recce, send a group of motorcycles, not infantry! After a certain point infantry are not worth it. It's a shame they don't have any kind of APC or IFV/MICV like they do in the real world to make them into mechanised or motorised infantry. Much faster and more protectd. Heck, why not airborne or airmobile infantry?
This game was so far ahead of it's time. As many said, if any game deserves a remake it's this one.

RTS Games that use full motion cutscenes are the best.

Games like KKND2 remind me why I fell in love with RTS games. They were tough but fair, and every victory felt earned.

I played this game so much my cousin made stickers for me with Krush Kill nDestroy. It was awesome!

I think i wanna add it to my download list of the RTS games that i will play sooner or later,since it looks amazing but im not tired of other games
For me the only tactic to win the missions (if you have the base of course) was to go into a deep defence untill the enemy depletes its oil.
Obviously doesn't compare with StarCraft and C&C but it is still a hidden gem. KKnD is different in a good way

little big adventure? i don't remember the story, but the game play was isometric, you had all these stances like sneak/run/fight to approach different situations. also one of the very first games i played on cd-rom back then.

@@Toshiro_Mifune not this one. It looked visually more like fantasy style resident evil with magical monsters.
It was a great game, had some really problems getting to run on my computer when it comes out. I hope someone will make a new one. This has a very big balance problems when you work out that your own need one type of unit to win most of the late levels. I think it was the Sniper or SWAT that was total op, a big group could take out every other unit in the game easily.

The Australian-American accents really bring me back! As well, I was reminded how hard it is to use rocket infantry due to their inaccuracy low ROF and long flight time for their projectiles. No good on moving targets! Good against buildings, I guess. And when it comes to recce, send a group of motorcycles, not infantry! After a certain point infantry are not worth it. It's a shame they don't have any kind of APC or IFV/MICV like they do in the real world to make them into mechanised or motorised infantry. Much faster and more protectd. Heck, why not airborne or airmobile infantry?
