Hi I can see that you enjoy visiting railways of Great Britain. We are doing the same thing and have been for over 50 years. We have a RUclips channel WOOLTMAN... This railway is on my list of ones to ride, so nice to see what it's like. We just cannot find out when it is open to the public. I have subscribed so we can now watch the railways we have never rode.... Happy Christmas and keep the videos coming in 2023.....Best wishes Chris
Hi thanks for your kind comments. I suggest simply keeping an eye on local or railway press for open days, "Narrow Gauge Railway Society" is very useful. Hopefully plenty more in 2023. Happy Christmas to you as well & thanks.
Great railway & surrounds, immaculately maintained, but where's the track plan? How are the points operated, manual, electric or from a central control? How is the track laid, on the spot or prefaded else where? All these things have got to happen before you can play trains.
The railway was built and expanded over the course of several decades, I believe as the owner bought more land. Everything was planned before construction, as you’d imagine. As far as I know, all movements are controlled through the on-property signalbox, though I’m not sure on the specifics of it.
I didn’t know the railway was still around! 😮 Do they do public operating day? Can you become a member only as I have been involved with different miniature railway’s for many years now.
Hi - as far as I know there isnt a club to join? There are open days and gather they are adveertised in the local press but other than that I dont know - sorry. Thanks for looking
Hi Mike, I am sure a visit would be no problem - they are exceptionally nice people. May I suggest you ask people at BWLR or the "Narrow Gauge Railway Society", I am sure they can help.
What a marvelous railway. Great video, it was good to view the complete circuit.
Thanks - a superb place - arm was aching !! lol

Is it tourism service kind of or its really a daily regular service to a destination ?
Hi. No this railway is on a person's private land. Does not operate for the public but does have open days
As a resident of Maidstone and a volunteer at BWLR I would love to come the next open day if you do such a thing!
