I've always envied how Japanese arcades get all the rhythm games. Rhythm games don't seem to be all that popular in the UK, but they're my favourite genre of all time dammit
if your in london at any point there is an arcade in soho that has taiko, rhythm heaven ddr and a couple for rhythm games. a lot of japanese stuff in general.
i know it may seem sweet, but it is usually considered rude by arcade players, includibg myself. it takes a lot of focus and concentration to do the harder maps, and random kids running up the drum and hitting the drum can be very distracting.
+Pianana :3 oh ok, the i would really recommend you start playing, it so addicting, at first i didn't like it but when you find a champion (or a monster, whatever you wanna call them) that matches your play style its really fun :3
Almost there. There are indeed 5 types of difficulty in this game: Flower (Easy) Bamboo (Normal) Tree (Hard) Demon (Very Hard) Inner Demon (Enhanced version of demon mode, only some songs have this difficulty)
Oh really? I didn’t realize that. I love the songs that I’ve played to from the 2000 series, but I haven’t gotten to play them all. Do you think there is a way to play all the 2000s songs in one place. Drum n’ Fun currently only has two and Pop Tap Beat only has two also. I wonder how many Drum Session has.
Rhythm games should be more popular in arcades, because that’s what attracts people to grind the most and spend the most money on getting game cards or tokens to play in the arcades more
No, that changes depending on which difficulty you choose, for easy it's a set of flowers, for normal it's a few pieces of bamboo, for hard it's a tree I believe, and for Extreme/Oni it's a taiko symbol, they light up when you hit a note, and on Oni it shows the difficulty icon inside of it
taiko on osu! has a fuck ton of songs just mostly converts of standard though. It's a fun mode but is dying. Ctb is dying too even though that's my main gamemode and has some really amazing players
Almost everybody in Japan seems to play this (and the console games) on the Oni difficulty… I do not know how the f*** do they manage to finish it, but Japan’s Japan I guess lol
Tons of practice, and use of modded drums (I mean the people who use the Tatacon from the console games, who then mod it it make it more sensitive so they can play)
@@zezus001 bro the original comment is 5x more childish and annoying than the child in the video. If you get annoyed by literal kids doing harmless shit like this, then you've got some deeper issues. Like I'd understand getting annoyed if the kid was breaking glass, throwing stuff around, but I can't understand how you get irritated by a kid being happy.
@@plasmodius9449 it's not the issue they're just trying to have some fun, but it can be very distracting when you're playing a high level oni and some kid begins hitting the other drum, especially the sound that comes from it. but they're kids and they don't know any better ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yes, it was . Those are Maibachi something that NAMCO sells specifically for use on Taiko no Tatsujin, but this man may be using custom ones, but the point still stands

Cσѕмσѕ yea in arcade shop we don't have this we have a billion street fighter but nothing like taiko or gsv

There's an entire floor dedicated to rhythm games in Japanese arcades. They're living the life
At least you've arcades.. here in italy there's like nothing.
if you're near bury, go to arcade club. its all rhythm games, and its amazing :3
You know it’s serious when they bring their own equipment.
never could say it better m8
I wonder how and where they get their own equipment?

GD Plasmodius I'm more of a Dota 2, Heroes of the Storm and Smite person.
Admit it. Whenever you get good at an arcade game, you really just continue playing it at an arcade to flex
Almost everyone i've seen playing this game in japan plays on oni difficulty and are so much better than me lol...
i feel you bro that was the same hahaha honestly i'm not bad in taiko but jesus christ they just fucked me up hahaha

If arcades everywhere were filled with rhythm games I'd definitely go. I've never been to an arcade so far, I'd rather play on my PC/console.
Rhythm games should be more popular in arcades, because that’s what attracts people to grind the most and spend the most money on getting game cards or tokens to play in the arcades more
Es increible como Quevedo en unos meses ha llegado tan lejos.. muy merecido!! representando Canarias y España!!

I feel like using drumsticks is a little cheating. They're so much lighter and easier to handle. Still impressive.
definitly.
the latest music, however, is hardly completed with an equipped sticks.
That's how you use a taiko drum
+Test Oh.

it’s more common than you’d think
He lost his combo count 3 times you should have seen his reaction xD
What song is this
Thanks!
It's ekiBEN 2000 from the 2000 song series
Why hold both sticks down for Drum Roll? Is this why they can play fast?
I had to literally do the Drum Roll the right way.
ララ/ソルLara it’s just them preparing to what’s about to come
Some people do something called rolling to get more hits on a Balloon! Note or a Drum Roll! note. Idk how to do it.
