- With 70 weddings ahead of us, we had to prepare the chateau so these dream weddings can become a reality! What kind of wedding theme would you have at The Chateau De Lesigny?

Most of the chateau domain needs renovation, so we are investing everything we have into making the property thrive. Being Americans in France, we are learning more about french culture and developing new skills along the way!
As a UC Berkeley graduate in Agriculture (Daphne), and a US Air Force Veteran/ Kinesiologist (Ian), we share a love for challenges and adventure. We have so much ahead of us, and we are excited to share the experience with you!

It's literally a fairy tale setting! To own this historical gem and be able to share it with ppl on their special day is something your grandfather would be so proud of. You're such a beautiful person inside out, it's as if this chateau was calling for an owner like you. I'm new on your channel and thoroughly enjoy every video that I've watched. I go back to your older ones to catch up on information about you and this stunning building. The wedding venues were beautifully decorated and dressing the entrance with flowers and trimming the trees to welcome your guests on that long and beautiful driveway, was a breathtaking sight indeed! Wow!

Man! It looks like a place straight out of a movie set! Planting the flowers, and maintaining the chateau must be so exhausting! Just looking at you guys makes me tired lol! Hello you two brave adventurers, it is a delight to see that you manage to motivate people to trust you to prepare this day so important for them. Of course, this setting is a fairy tale for their most important day. But the backdrop is only the backdrop, you two brave ones fill the backdrop with life. Your grandfather would be very proud of you to have found such worthy successors. I would wet my pants in the face of the facts. Our wedding: Celtic themed(groom was 3rd Gen Canadian Finnish Scottish, bride Occitan Jewish, Central Asian, European ancestry, North African ancestry), in the historic gazebo in the small town in Michigan that I was from. 2nd marriage for me, two of my boys were groomsmen. My foster sister matron of honor and my cousin presided over the ceremony. I come from a multi ethnic, multi faith family. My in-laws are all Caucasian, very conservative. They did not know how to interact or be with my family. They all sat in one corner….far, far away from the rest of the guests! Speaking of commuting, we commuted for four years before I was able to come west to Calgary. Best wishes.

With such a beautiful venue you could also offer wine tasting weekends, floral arrangement classes, art classes etc... Absolutely love this channel.

CONGRATS! Great video production and serene v/o. We too have 70 weddings this year, but in the catering end of things. These are primarily local "barn venues" from old & rustic to new & industrial-look, along with a smattering of tent destinations at lakeside cottages. We host a few events on our property and possibly more in 2024 as '23 is booked for off-site work. Enjoy the summer!! We truly understand & appreciate the dedication, hard work & effort - notwithstanding the gracious patience that goes with hosting weddings and events. The trust & friendships that develop in this vendor-centric industry are incredible and generational. "Love that has a ring to it!"

Pour une décoration extérieure visible de loin, j’imagine des boucles et noeuds de grands métrages de tulle 🤩 avec du lierre et, suivant la saison, de grosses fleurs (hortensias, tournesols 🌻, anthuriums, bouquets de grosses roses ou chrysanthèmes ou gypsophiles….)

If I was getting married there, I'd choose a classically styled decor theme. The colors would be pink and white and then......I'd let you decorate as you'd see fit! Everything is gorgeous there even without any added decor! The setting alone is enough to say "gorgeous/beautiful/exquisite"! Happy to have found your channel and look forward to many more episodes you'll share.
Thank you for sharing! We have seen a wedding with pink and white decor and it was very sweet! They actually rented couches for the dining space and had a structure built to drape white curtains around the seating arrangements. Hard to describe via text, but it was very pretty! We would recommend creating something similar but on the moat terraces because the view out there is beautiful at sunset 😊 Thank you for subscribing to our channel!

Absolutely beautiful! Have you ever thought about planting evergreen boxwood in those planters on the bridge. It would give it structure, formality, low maintenance, and beautiful in the winter.

Thank you, Mark! That really puts a smile on my face 🤓I played with iMovie in high school when making skateboard videos with my buddies. Over the years I would make little gopro edits for the fun of it. When I purchased my Sony A7iii recently, I started going to RUclips to learn more. I learned a lot from Parker Walbeck’s training course and I watch plenty of Casey Neistat and Peter McKinnon videos. Everytime we have a movie or TV show being filmed here at the chateau, I find the camera man and start picking his brain for answers. I’m really trying to make every new video a learning experience for the next. If our channel continues to grow then I will gladly upgrade my gear and do my best to make it worth your watch 👍

💕Beautiful💕On the inner walls of your moat you have plants growing which should be removed before the roots damage the brickwork💕Nice day or two in a boat lowering the plants into the boat will stop them going into the water💕
Thank you for watching! We will be cleaning the moat walls again soon. The last time it was done was in 2017 and the workers used rappelling gear to hang off the sides so they could cut off the trees and carefully remove the roots. We will get a harness for Ian and make a video for people to see how it goes 😊

My fiance is considerably younger than me, so I'd probably choose a Harold & Maude theme, which means we'd be driving off into the sunset in a Volkswagen Beetle with a tree sticking out of the sun roof or a sports car slash hearse. 😂 Thanks for posting some photos of the weddings; I always enjoy watching other people's creativity. As a person who does a LOT of gardening, I can appreciate the need to round up help planting all those flowers.

It's such a rare treat to get to see such a stunning Chateau who's young owner has a history with the estate.
The chateau is stunning! It must be a magical setting for a wedding or any party. I was curious to know if the growth of vegetation on the walls of the moat and the chateau's foundation along the moat compromise the integrity of the structures? Do you have to trim or pull out the plants and trees which grow out of the spaces between the stones?
Thank you for watching! Yes, we need to clear the moat walls again. It was done in 2017, but it grows back so fast! It is done by rappelling off the side and pulling the roots out, so we need to get Ian a harness and make a video of the process 😉
