The most upsetting thing as someone who really enjoys your content is having to hear you talk about the amount of expectations people hold for you. It’s like, is it that hard for people to realize that you’re literally just a dude who enjoys the game??? You’re allowed to mess up, you’re allowed to complain. Other people can get upset with Identity V, but when a content creator, who’s not extraordinary in terms of skill, does it it’s wrong? People can’t expect you to be perfect at the game just because you’re a popular creator. It’s okay to mess up. Take your time improving. You don’t need to immediately get good. That goes for everyone else, it takes time. I hope you know that we’re all very proud of you for trying to maintain your positive attitude, even despite all of the obstacles that come your way. Remember that end of the day, you’re human, and that it’s okay if your performance isn’t always going to be perfection.

Hello Zeez, I know how you feel since I, a player who has been playing for a long time, sometimes I also receive criticism or some other clip saying this guy has been playing for so long and still plays badly and it doesn't bother or discourage me since I have received worse comments In this game, in a certain part YOU are a new player, you have been playing for 1 year, 1 YEAR, do you know how many years it took me to reach my level? Don't be mean to yourself, we can't all keep up with the same pace, we're all different, no one is perfect, take your time from mistakes, you learn as a person once told me, pay more attention to the positive comments since you can ignore the negative comments. since you receive more positive comments! Don't be discouraged, you're on the right path. It took me too long to feel happy with my voice since I don't really like listening to it, but you know what? If people say they like it then believe it, believe in your people believe in yourself, I know I'm just a random person or just another content creator but for me you are a special person I know you are a good friend and I like to see you improve keep it up zeez! don't be discouraged ily

I’ve been play since release and I have yet to even hit tier 6 for survivor granted I wasn’t playing daily and took lots of breaks. I would come on every so often just to solo rank not caring about what other people think of me since I was only in the mid tiers just focusing on my game sense and perfecting my main guess it was a benefit to not making it into the high tiers. This past year I started playing daily after seeing your channel you got me interested in the game again and I’m now trying to see how far I can go (currently in tier 5 for both factions with an A badge on priestess and violinist)

The most important thing you can have as a content creator is personality and dedication to your channel. There are countless amounts of Identity V players who are really good at the characters they play. There's no point in trying to fill that role if it doesn't make you stand out from the others. Anyone could look up Identity V gameplay and discover a ton of skillful players, but they're presence in the community isn't going to last if that's all they have going for them. Every unique video you put out adds to your presence in the community as a content creator because it adds more than just "good gameplay". Every bit of commentary, gameplay, editing, and even flops you come up with may be someone's reason to start watching and enjoying your content, so appreciate every bit of it. And if I'm being honest, nobody is really "good" at Identity V. They're only good at the characters that they've spent time mastering. You could take a top player who one-tricks Ivy and tell them to play Mary, and there's a good chance that they'd do horribly. Give yourself some grace, and start winning the IDGAF war. You don't have to be "Mr. Nice Identity V RUclipsr" all of the time. It's okay to poke at your audience a bit if they deserve it. I do it all of the time and nobody thinks I'm a terrible person for it. If they do, that's further reasoning for them to get a reality check.
The fact that you’re one of the most wholesome and lighthearted and fun IDV channels and yet you still feel like this is so heartbreaking yet understandable, there’s always going to be hateful people but I hope you know that we really really love your content and you’ve created a comforting space where we enjoy watching your videos because of you and your personality ❤️ It won’t matter if you’re better or worse at playing this or that character, we’ll always have fun with you Zeez!!!

Zeez, seeing all the criticism and hard expectations against you makes my heart break a bit. You’re the kindest, most honest IDV RUclips creator I’ve seen in a while. Of course, negative comments will come your way, and I know this little comment will probably be insignificant, but I think you’re doing good! Everyone will get those comments, the best you can do is ignore them, despite how hard they can burden you. On the other side, you will have a crowd of fans that are cheering and supporting you! The expectations and criticism is very real with idv 😅 I had a friend group that was very loud and critical while playing, and I ended up needing a break from idv so I can practice in my own time which feels more comfortable to me and to play other games I couldn't for a while since I felt obligated to rank with my group in all my free time I play custom 1v1s against nightmare bots often now and I feel better being able to play in silence or with some nice music I can't change how my group talks, some of it even seems to be cultural differences since not everyone speaks english as their first language so some things that may not be intented to be rude can come off as such. I can at least have healthy boundaries with my group and focus on my moral to avoid burnout and losing enthusiam in a game I really enjoy

honestly, my best advice for this whole ongoing issue with the criticism is remember to have fun! It’s really hard as a creator to step back from what the audience wants and focus on what you enjoy doing! No matter what the real audience will always stay by you cause u are the reason everyone loves the channel, it makes me so sad that you’ve repeatedly had to mention the same things and you might not feel burnt out now but you will be if you don’t do what YOU love first! hi zeez !! long time viewer and idv player here. i love your videos and watch almost every single one consistently. i may be a silent viewer, but believe me when i say your content is soo enjoyable and just really amazing for the identity v community. there isn't really many other idv content creators like you out there. i know you dont know me, but i want to give you props and say great job on everything you've created and done within this community!! i'm sorry comments have gotten you down. some people don't realize their words can hurt you, especially since you present as a wonderfully bubbly guy!! on top of that, a lot of the idv community in na/eu is young and don't have as many life/social experiences to know what is okay and not okay to say online. i was there when you were new at the game and its genuinely crazy how fast youve improved at this game, so don't beat yourself up over it!! you've done so much in one year (if not more) that i have only accomplished in four years playing this game. idv is for fun and you don't have to be perfect especially when you're just goofing off with random hunters or survivors!!! there is a loud minority in people that expect a ton from just a guy making silly idv videos online. remember there is heaps of us that support you no matter what direction you go in, no matter how many times you win or lose a match, no matter how informed your tournament commentary is. we want you to relax!! a happy youtuber is a happy viewer. you don't have to cater to people that are calling you trash or something because they aren't the ones that will be supporting your content anyway. 99% of the people calling you trash and bad and getting carried are in low/mid tier anyway, and have been playing for much longer than you. social media is EXTREMELY EXHAUSTING and anonymity does crazy things to the respect people give to others. you are a great idv player especially when you consider its barely been a year since you started. theres a reason your channel has grown so much so fast. your strive to improve in every aspect is admirable and we are all very lucky to have you in the community! good luck on your content journey going forward and i wish you the best!!!
As a person who is weak to criticism, the best advice I can give you is to understand that other people are unhappy with their lives and therefore they are bringing you down. When people say harsh things to me that affect me badly and cause me to lose motivation or my will to continue to press onward, I have to remind myself that what people say does not reduce or indicate my worth as a person, and that if they genuinely believed what they were saying and wanted me to change, they would try to do it in a polite and constructive manner. People who say rude things WANT to hurt the person they're talking to, it is not about the content of what they are saying, but they are angry or jealous of that person and want to bring them down. They are cruel for cruelness' sake and their own desire to validate that they are "better" than the other person, when even if they were "better" at one given thing, they are obviously not a better person. Also I find it great that you are drawing a boundary with the "I played with Zeez and he flopped" pipeline because people who do genuinely like you & care about you will now realize that the joke, even if it's a joke to them, does have an actual impact. Like if people were to have a video made about them calling them a flop, I'm certain they'd be unhappy to see that. ALSO YOUR VOICE IS NOT BAD!! I find your jokes very funny and your voice very soothing, I like listening to your commentary and the jokes you make because it's nice and amusing to be like "Yeah Zeez, MIKE GAMING!!" It brings me joy to see lines that you've made become popular quotes in the IDV community because it shows that people enjoy what you do and it's wonderful to see you have iconic catchphrases. You are cared about, and even if the harsh criticisms are the ones that catch your eye the most, I think we all want to let you know that the vast majority of people truly adore you and want to see you have fun and enjoy the game that we all enjoy as well!
As for Coa, I personally along with a few people I know find them enjoyable to watch in the background or directly. Maybe you could create a second channel for it perhaps? Additionally, I understand the harsh expectations people have. It’s really frustrating how people cannot fathom content creators aren’t always going to perform perfect and it’s unrealistic. No cuz I understand I remember when I was playing as Mary learning her cuz I got her once skin and I posted me practicing. Someone said, "ugh as a Mary main this is painful to watch." Like it makes me want to not try or practice so I stop. 😭😭 like it's okay to not say that and just give small tips here and there. At the end of the day you're trying, like you're allowed to complain just like everyone else does? Like how they're complaining about you, you can complain about how you failed or something. People treat you as if you aren't a real person with human beings? When you literally are. 😭😭 People are just gonna be mean and you don't deserve that. I been playing For 2 years and I'm still bad so I understand. I feel like you should only live up to your own expectations on how you do things. :( I'm sorry you had to go through those things. You deserve it and you're doing great. I think you should do what you feel comfortable and held a boundary as well. You got this zeez. Don't focus on the negative people and give them that power to put you down it'll be hard and that's okay but there are people who related and wish for you to just be you and that's what matters. Im a person who loves routine, I love having something to acompany me at most moments of my day, and your videos have always been perfect for that, your commentary in tournaments are my entretainment when I eat, clean, do my homework and cook, I like how you talk and how fast and funny you are. Sometimes theyre even the very highlight of my day, so I want you to know that part of content was greatly appreciated, at the very least for me, because you delivered them with so much charm and really funny reactions. I understand your thoughts of wanting to cover every single tournament because I also wish I could see them all, and have the knowledge on them (which thanks to you I could!! bc watching them without a voice is boring). as someone who took a 2 year break from IDV, your channel was kinda refreshing to see. it was hard getting into the game again and playing against so so so many new characters, so when i found one of your videos, you made it seem like fun again. unlike other videos i’ve watched, it was easier to learn about new character through your videos because you didn’t seemed to shy away from presenting your flops and to say that you’re not perfect with all characters, and that motivated me to keep learning and playing! you’re one of the most honest and kindhearted youtuber i’ve ever watched and i really admire how you’re also honest with yourself and set your boundaries, it’s not something you see a lot nowadays sadly. i hope you continue to have fun making content and keep playing IDV, even if it gets hard with discouraging comments about it, you truly deserve the best :)
I know there are TONS of comments and I'm already a couple days late. Always remember that the people who love and enjoy your content and you for just being you will always have your back. I've been playing IDV off and on for 6 years and I still have lots of room to improve, so nobody has any right to point fingers for skill in my opinion, everyone definitely learns at different rates and the amount you've grown and improved over just a year is amazing. It's totally alright to be hurt by other people's negative thoughts on your performance because that makes you human. Just keep doing what makes you happy and never lose sight of that! I'm new to the game since March because little nightmares collab, I'm new to the community and I'm not good of kiting in matches, i also gets hurt very much from the negative in game including the post match. I just don't let any players get to me when i tried my best to decode and rescue. I'm a very nice person i had terrible luck of team up with people in ranks. As for playing as the hunter i get really anxiety of playing one because I'm not good at finding the survivors, I'm worried that one of them thinking I'm not good enough. As an calm person I'm not good at making friends, but i loves your channel zeez you such an amazing person and I'm enjoy your videos, they so inspiration just keep bring you we all proud of you! ☺☺

Hey man, I'm a more recent sub, jumped into the game and found y'all at the tail-end of the anniversary event. I'm just a random guy on the internet and I'm not a long time viewer, but I'm rooting for you like everyone else. Also since Aeroplanist was mentioned here's a tip for my boy Charles (I am sorry if this is common knowledge or you already know this), I cannot tell you how long it took me to learn that you can press the item button to make the next dash happen instantly, same with pressing hover again to land early. Also broken windows is just as viable as tide if there's another rescuer.
This will sound redundant, but really, don't feel bad about the way you voiced out your frustrations during matches. All of us do that. We're all human here and we can't help but feel frustrated when things don't go our way you know? You're just the same as us, it just happens that a lot more people gets to hear your own voice. It’s true but at the end of the day, the people who say “you suck” are just people who want to use your name to elevate themselves like moochers off your success. I recently started watching (really only a week) since I used to play idv back in 2020, I played for around a year or so until I stopped due to personal reasons. Everything was incredibly different back then and since I got back into idv a month ago, watching your channel has helped so much with making me understand how some stuff in the game works currently and even how to kite better!! Honestly the event coverage is so good simply because you're probably one of the only channels preserving idv events, so so many events are lost to time and I think that's so sad, I'd like to revisit old events from like 2020 sometimes and they're just kinda lost, but with you posting event coverage that won't happen anymore!!!

Your personality shines throughout all of your videos, even when you get a bit down sometimes, and I'm also learning to push past the negativity when I think I failed, or am just bad at the game. But, your positivity has given me the courage to even start playing survivor after avoiding it for the longest time (Louis is Ready!). I’ve been binge watching your content for a bit, usually I’m not one to comment, but at the end of the day it is just a game. If people get pressed so hard over such minor things like not being a pro at a game maybe they need therapy and grass. I will say your videos have been severely helpful in actually understanding how to play the game decently tho! I also enjoy your character day videos because I like the commentary on character mechanics and how you’d like to use them. It’s at least helped me improve my gameplay and plus it’s entertaining! (and so real, I’ve hit surrender an embarrassing amount of times. Very comforting to know this is a semi-universal experience lmao…) Also, those “eating up these flop” type vids are usually either rage bait or the more toxic type of ppl who just like purposely upsetting ppl. Not sure how to go about avoiding them or keeping them off ur mind, but it helps to know they won’t get satisfaction unless they have a reaction.
I am so late to this (as,, other comments have stated) but that's because i'm personally going through a ton but during this new era of my life your videos have brought comfort and laughs to my life. I find myself showing others your videos and truthfully, I think I've gotten better SINCE watching your videos. I've been playing for 3 years but since watching and enjoying your content I've gotten better in something i take comfort in. Idv is more than what it is for most people, its competition, its something to fall back on, people taking it too srsly. But I find the best players are the ones who just enjoy the game and have fun, so continue to do so. I look forward to new videos and new content.

I watch your videos as I get ready for the day, prepare for shows, and even when I play idv because I’m pretty fixated on this game… I enjoy all of your content so much and your voice is just like the perfect idv competition commentator voice! I personally think your commentary is the best i've seen, i never quite understood why people don't like it or you don't like it yourself zeez, its the most entertaining. I personally really enjoy the tournament commentary but if theres n=gong to be less matches, i would love to see at least select matches reactions :)

I'm a recent college graduate and when I was too busy studying to really play the game (because this is my hyperfixation-) I'd watch your videos to fill that! Your voice was very soothing to my soul and even if you weren't perfect, it felt so real. We always go for the perfect kites and early knockdowns depending on your faction ofc, so it was a breath of fresh air to see someone uploading their kites, even if they weren't perfect. Because no one is perfect at the game. Everyone has those rounds, and bro you've literally come so far in a year!!! That's no small feat!!!! For the people who just want to bring you down, they're just sad pathetic people who feed off negativity. Misery loves company after all. But you have so many people who do care about your well-being, not just your uploads. Keep your head up king, you're one of the best people to come from this community ♥️♥️
I'm really glad to watch this video because I used to follow you all the way back when I started playing, and stopped watching around COA due to the not so healthy community and the constant frustration you seemed to go through in every video (and stream). I couldn't understand why suddenly you were somewhat obsessed with your own matches and being overly negative about your gameplay, characters or balancing, but this puts things into perspective. I'm looking forward into seeing you improve on those senses because I do miss your really genuine positive content, and I really appreciated you sharing your discovery, experience and enjoyment of the game (specially as someone who was new at the time; things like events or lore videos were just magical to me) way more than your skills. i love your hunter/survivor content whether you flop or not 😭 frankly it's really refreshing to see people lose because it reminds me that its normal and that you can gain learning experiences from it. ur commentary isnt the problem, its alot like what u said, viewers get tired of watching tourney because the character picks and the gameplay get really repetitive. people treat content creators like they’re some high class individuals who only play to be good. dont feel obligated to post everyday and feel free to take breaks if it gets too much 🤞 ur content is entertaining to watch no matter if ur playing the game or just commentating on matches

Ngl, this video made me tear up a little, as well as the comments😭. I dont know how people can be so negative and mean towards someone for simply having different opinions and emotions towards certain characters and other stuff. I never try to hold high expectations on content creators because they are also people, people who have other things in life that get in the way as well as being their self outside of creating content. I for one love, and i mean TRULY love your commentary on tournaments as well as gameplay of yourself and others. Just listening to someone speak about what is going on in the video, trying to decipher what the hunter/survivors are thinking while doing certain actions, is interesting to me. I enjoy listening to what you have to say and the silly jokes that you come up with. They make me laugh and help lighten up my mood wherever I'm having a bad day. Your videos alone can help brighten up my day and mood when I'm feeling anxious or scared about something personal. Also about the jokes thing, running gags are pretty fun! I love all the videos you put out, I don't comment a lot because I've never been the type to do so but ever since I discovered your channel, it got me back into idv a lot. I binge watched almost all of your older videos too, even some of your very first idv streams on your gaming channel, and I just been having a really great time. Btw, very entertaining to see where you started and funny the way you thought you were gonna stop playing when danganronpa crossover ended! I support you in whatever you continue making. I enjoy the tournament commentary and even event coverage so I'm glad you aren't stopping those even if they are less popular lol. I do agree the tournaments can get stale cause of the character picks and repetitive stuff but I hope you do continue to commentate on some of the more fun sets. The expectations part made me feel so strongly. I wish i could reccomend a solution that could make it better but being a CC is hard. I personally enjoyed all your videos and have since the first couple uploads. I have religiously weather ive commented or not watched every single video youve put out this far even VODS. I love to fall asleep to your videos too your voice despite your own feelings on it isnt too whacky youtuber but its also not boring. You've been my favorite IDV creator ever since I discovered you precisely because of your relatability, in that sometimes you succeed and sometimes you don't. I love that you aren't afraid to post the outcome either way. It can be fun to watch very high tier players play and be impressed by their knowledge, but to me it's even more fun to see someone play like a regular person would, mistakes and learning moments included. It's so much more, idk, human? And that gives it character and entertainment value that a perfect game doesn't have for me. I'll always support you as you continue to improve, but please don’t be afraid to struggle sometimes! It happens to everyone, and being a content creator shouldn't make you feel like you have to curate your gameplay to only show your best plays. I've been trying to learn psychologist alongside you, and it's been a blast, even when I flop because she, yknow, can't do anything 😂 Remember, no one came out of the womb an ace at every character, and who knows? Its so relatable in such a good way, and your emotional intelligence, negative or positive, makes me feel seen. especially in an idv gameplay sense. the fact you do complain, critic yourself, and other characteristics, make you human, especially on a online platform. its hard, its mind numbing. but your amazing, i hope you path on bettering yourself, for you, starts going well! Expectations are so hard to manage, but as a player who's still improving in terms of my survivor abilities, I love watching you get better!! Seeing you "mess up", I'm like. Wow, even cool CCs make the same silly mistakes as me, we're all human players, not AI. It is way more important to have fun than to try to adhere to what people expect of you. Even COA players flop in tournaments, I don't think it should be so heavily criticized to not be perfect, especially in a game we're meant to have fun with
zeez i think it's so sad that people are like this :( you're so bubbly and one of my favorite idv content creators ever and your skill and willingness to learn certainly exceeds most players. i don't think you're bad at all. i mess up so many times in idv, rank and every other game mode. i'm very close to alicorn and i often make a small mistake and in post match someone will be hateful sometimes. it definitely hurts and i always apologize but i also realize that ANYONE can make a mistake and if someone throws a match, it's funny, sometimes annoying, but okay. seriously, EVERYONE makes mistakes and we have to learn to laugh it off. it sucks that so many people fail to realize that. have you watched gumball idv's video on the stress of idv?? it's SUPER relatable and i think you'd enjoy it a lot

As someone that has been playing the game since 2018 I have to say that you are by far one of the most entertaining youtubers that I've come across around the many content creators that I've had the chance to look on that tackle the game and trust me when I say that that I never expected to watch 1 hour of commentary for random tournaments. Or watch a youtuber's every post on the daily. When it comes to identity V content, you have such a rich and varied amount of stuff derived from a game like identity V. And it feels like you take a huge advantage to the game and what it offers, and I have to say that just keep doing what you're doing, because what you're doing right now is really good. And I've had a fun time so far, and I can't wait to keep up as far as I can with your content!
I found your channel recently and was surprised to learn that you hadn't been playing for long, since you still talk about the competitive tournaments, meta changes over the seasons, and reference older events. A lot of players who have been playing for longer don't know or don't care about all those events like you do, and many of them certainly don't care about improving themselves and analyzing gameplays like you do, whether from their own games or from their teammates. I really like your content and your personality on here, and while I understand reducing commentary on the repetitive games since you put out so many videos on other content too, I am looking forward to your thoughts next COA!

halfway into the video but i definitely agree on keeping a positive mindset and ignoring the negative comments that come your way; the idv community is an ugly one and is full of people wanting to troll / rage bait / spread hate, the only answer is not to give them the attention they crave. there will always be fans and friends who care for you and be there to lift you up, but don't forget to praise yourself as well. you're doing the best that you can and are willing to improve and listen to constructive criticism, and i think that's all that matters. 👍
No matter what content you do or how you play I personally mostly care about how fun and entertaining you are in general! I really want to thanks you for talking about all of that. I recently go for mammouth rank and since i'm in there i feel so bad when i play. I feel like my level is completely behind what it should, because Hunter seem so perfect... in général, i don't reconize myself in the idv fandom, because they are so rude. There were a time when i had post match comment active and i had rude comment by the past like : go back to tutorial, or the badge is just for the fame thing like this. And it Hurt. They could just explain what was bad for them instead of insulting but they don't. And i really think it's sad...
I feel you on this so much. I started playing back in January and criticism can be so difficult when you havent been playing for nearly as long as others. I love idv but critism gets so bad i stopped playing in may because the only thing i can think of is how badly im gonna be criticized especially as someone who plays solo. Random people can be so critical. I can’t imagine how much worse it can be when you have so many people watching you play. People are so critical about a video game. The most upsetting thing as someone who really enjoys your content is having to hear you talk about the amount of expectations people hold for you. It’s like, is it that hard for people to realize that you’re literally just a dude who enjoys the game??? You’re allowed to mess up, you’re allowed to complain. Other people can get upset with Identity V, but when a content creator, who’s not extraordinary in terms of skill, does it it’s wrong? People can’t expect you to be perfect at the game just because you’re a popular creator. It’s okay to mess up. Take your time improving. You don’t need to immediately get good. That goes for everyone else, it takes time. I hope you know that we’re all very proud of you for trying to maintain your positive attitude, even despite all of the obstacles that come your way. Remember that end of the day, you’re human, and that it’s okay if your performance isn’t always going to be perfection.

Hello Zeez, I know how you feel since I, a player who has been playing for a long time, sometimes I also receive criticism or some other clip saying this guy has been playing for so long and still plays badly and it doesn't bother or discourage me since I have received worse comments In this game, in a certain part YOU are a new player, you have been playing for 1 year, 1 YEAR, do you know how many years it took me to reach my level? Don't be mean to yourself, we can't all keep up with the same pace, we're all different, no one is perfect, take your time from mistakes, you learn as a person once told me, pay more attention to the positive comments since you can ignore the negative comments. since you receive more positive comments! Don't be discouraged, you're on the right path. It took me too long to feel happy with my voice since I don't really like listening to it, but you know what? If people say they like it then believe it, believe in your people believe in yourself, I know I'm just a random person or just another content creator but for me you are a special person I know you are a good friend and I like to see you improve keep it up zeez! don't be discouraged ily

I’ve been play since release and I have yet to even hit tier 6 for survivor granted I wasn’t playing daily and took lots of breaks. I would come on every so often just to solo rank not caring about what other people think of me since I was only in the mid tiers just focusing on my game sense and perfecting my main guess it was a benefit to not making it into the high tiers. This past year I started playing daily after seeing your channel you got me interested in the game again and I’m now trying to see how far I can go (currently in tier 5 for both factions with an A badge on priestess and violinist)

The most important thing you can have as a content creator is personality and dedication to your channel. There are countless amounts of Identity V players who are really good at the characters they play. There's no point in trying to fill that role if it doesn't make you stand out from the others. Anyone could look up Identity V gameplay and discover a ton of skillful players, but they're presence in the community isn't going to last if that's all they have going for them. Every unique video you put out adds to your presence in the community as a content creator because it adds more than just "good gameplay". Every bit of commentary, gameplay, editing, and even flops you come up with may be someone's reason to start watching and enjoying your content, so appreciate every bit of it. And if I'm being honest, nobody is really "good" at Identity V. They're only good at the characters that they've spent time mastering. You could take a top player who one-tricks Ivy and tell them to play Mary, and there's a good chance that they'd do horribly. Give yourself some grace, and start winning the IDGAF war. You don't have to be "Mr. Nice Identity V RUclipsr" all of the time. It's okay to poke at your audience a bit if they deserve it. I do it all of the time and nobody thinks I'm a terrible person for it. If they do, that's further reasoning for them to get a reality check.

The expectations and criticism is very real with idv 😅 I had a friend group that was very loud and critical while playing, and I ended up needing a break from idv so I can practice in my own time which feels more comfortable to me and to play other games I couldn't for a while since I felt obligated to rank with my group in all my free time
I play custom 1v1s against nightmare bots often now and I feel better being able to play in silence or with some nice music
I can't change how my group talks, some of it even seems to be cultural differences since not everyone speaks english as their first language so some things that may not be intented to be rude can come off as such. I can at least have healthy boundaries with my group and focus on my moral to avoid burnout and losing enthusiam in a game I really enjoy

It’s really hard as a creator to step back from what the audience wants and focus on what you enjoy doing! i'm sorry comments have gotten you down. some people don't realize their words can hurt you, especially since you present as a wonderfully bubbly guy!! on top of that, a lot of the idv community in na/eu is young and don't have as many life/social experiences to know what is okay and not okay to say online. i was there when you were new at the game and its genuinely crazy how fast youve improved at this game, so don't beat yourself up over it!! you've done so much in one year (if not more) that i have only accomplished in four years playing this game. idv is for fun and you don't have to be perfect especially when you're just goofing off with random hunters or survivors!!! there is a loud minority in people that expect a ton from just a guy making silly idv videos online. remember there is heaps of us that support you no matter what direction you go in, no matter how many times you win or lose a match, no matter how informed your tournament commentary is. we want you to relax!! a happy youtuber is a happy viewer. you don't have to cater to people that are calling you trash or something because they aren't the ones that will be supporting your content anyway. 99% of the people calling you trash and bad and getting carried are in low/mid tier anyway, and have been playing for much longer than you. social media is EXTREMELY EXHAUSTING and anonymity does crazy things to the respect people give to others.

As a person who is weak to criticism, the best advice I can give you is to understand that other people are unhappy with their lives and therefore they are bringing you down. When people say harsh things to me that affect me badly and cause me to lose motivation or my will to continue to press onward, I have to remind myself that what people say does not reduce or indicate my worth as a person, and that if they genuinely believed what they were saying and wanted me to change, they would try to do it in a polite and constructive manner. People who say rude things WANT to hurt the person they're talking to, it is not about the content of what they are saying, but they are angry or jealous of that person and want to bring them down. They are cruel for cruelness' sake and their own desire to validate that they are "better" than the other person, when even if they were "better" at one given thing, they are obviously not a better person. Also I find it great that you are drawing a boundary with the "I played with Zeez and he flopped" pipeline because people who do genuinely like you & care about you will now realize that the joke, even if it's a joke to them, does have an actual impact. Like if people were to have a video made about them calling them a flop, I'm certain they'd be unhappy to see that. ALSO YOUR VOICE IS NOT BAD!! I find your jokes very funny and your voice very soothing, I like listening to your commentary and the jokes you make because it's nice and amusing to be like "Yeah Zeez, MIKE GAMING!!" It brings me joy to see lines that you've made become popular quotes in the IDV community because it shows that people enjoy what you do and it's wonderful to see you have iconic catchphrases. You are cared about, and even if the harsh criticisms are the ones that catch your eye the most, I think we all want to let you know that the vast majority of people truly adore you and want to see you have fun and enjoy the game that we all enjoy as well!
As for Coa, I personally along with a few people I know find them enjoyable to watch in the background or directly. Maybe you could create a second channel for it perhaps? Additionally, I understand the harsh expectations people have. It’s really frustrating how people cannot fathom content creators aren’t always going to perform perfect and it’s unrealistic. No cuz I understand I remember when I was playing as Mary learning her cuz I got her once skin and I posted me practicing. Someone said, "ugh as a Mary main this is painful to watch." Like it makes me want to not try or practice so I stop. 😭😭 like it's okay to not say that and just give small tips here and there. At the end of the day you're trying, like you're allowed to complain just like everyone else does? Like how they're complaining about you, you can complain about how you failed or something. People treat you as if you aren't a real person with human beings? When you literally are. 😭😭 People are just gonna be mean and you don't deserve that. I been playing For 2 years and I'm still bad so I understand. I feel like you should only live up to your own expectations on how you do things. :( I'm sorry you had to go through those things. Im a person who loves routine, I love having something to acompany me at most moments of my day, and your videos have always been perfect for that, your commentary in tournaments are my entretainment when I eat, clean, do my homework and cook, I like how you talk and how fast and funny you are. Sometimes theyre even the very highlight of my day, so I want you to know that part of content was greatly appreciated, at the very least for me, because you delivered them with so much charm and really funny reactions. I understand your thoughts of wanting to cover every single tournament because I also wish I could see them all, and have the knowledge on them (which thanks to you I could!! bc watching them without a voice is boring). as someone who took a 2 year break from IDV, your channel was kinda refreshing to see. it was hard getting into the game again and playing against so so so many new characters, so when i found one of your videos, you made it seem like fun again. unlike other videos i’ve watched, it was easier to learn about new character through your videos because you didn’t seemed to shy away from presenting your flops and to say that you’re not perfect with all characters, and that motivated me to keep learning and playing!
you’re one of the most honest and kindhearted youtuber i’ve ever watched and i really admire how you’re also honest with yourself and set your boundaries, it’s not something you see a lot nowadays sadly.

I know there are TONS of comments and I'm already a couple days late. Always remember that the people who love and enjoy your content and you for just being you will always have your back. I've been playing IDV off and on for 6 years and I still have lots of room to improve, so nobody has any right to point fingers for skill in my opinion, everyone definitely learns at different rates and the amount you've grown and improved over just a year is amazing. It's totally alright to be hurt by other people's negative thoughts on your performance because that makes you human. Just keep doing what makes you happy and never lose sight of that! You've been honestly a great light in a very negative community and you never cease to make me laugh! You got this!
I'm new to the game since March because little nightmares collab, I'm new to the community and I'm not good of kiting in matches, i also gets hurt very much from the negative in game including the post match. I just don't let any players get to me when i tried my best to decode and rescue. I'm a very nice person i had terrible luck of team up with people in ranks. As for playing as the hunter i get really anxiety of playing one because I'm not good at finding the survivors, I'm worried that one of them thinking I'm not good enough. As an calm person I'm not good at making friends, but i loves your channel zeez you such an amazing person and I'm enjoy your videos, they so inspiration just keep bring you we all proud of you! ☺☺

I'm just a random guy on the internet and I'm not a long time viewer, but I'm rooting for you like everyone else.
Also since Aeroplanist was mentioned here's a tip for my boy Charles (I am sorry if this is common knowledge or you already know this), I cannot tell you how long it took me to learn that you can press the item button to make the next dash happen instantly, same with pressing hover again to land early. Also broken windows is just as viable as tide if there's another rescuer.
This will sound redundant, but really, don't feel bad about the way you voiced out your frustrations during matches. All of us do that. We're all human here and we can't help but feel frustrated when things don't go our way you know? You're just the same as us, it just happens that a lot more people gets to hear your own voice.
Anyway, best of luck with future contents! In the end IDV is only a game meant for people to have fun and challenge your competitiveness.

I know I always say that the loses are relatable. It’s true but at the end of the day, the people who say “you suck” are just people who want to use your name to elevate themselves like moochers off your success. And there are people who just want to have the opposite opinion. I know it’s hard to ignore and it sucks. I recently started watching (really only a week) since I used to play idv back in 2020, I played for around a year or so until I stopped due to personal reasons. Everything was incredibly different back then and since I got back into idv a month ago, watching your channel has helped so much with making me understand how some stuff in the game works currently and even how to kite better!! Honestly the event coverage is so good simply because you're probably one of the only channels preserving idv events, so so many events are lost to time and I think that's so sad, I'd like to revisit old events from like 2020 sometimes and they're just kinda lost, but with you posting event coverage that won't happen anymore!!!

Your personality shines throughout all of your videos, even when you get a bit down sometimes, and I'm also learning to push past the negativity when I think I failed, or am just bad at the game. I’ve been binge watching your content for a bit, usually I’m not one to comment, but at the end of the day it is just a game. If people get pressed so hard over such minor things like not being a pro at a game maybe they need therapy and grass. I will say your videos have been severely helpful in actually understanding how to play the game decently tho! I also enjoy your character day videos because I like the commentary on character mechanics and how you’d like to use them. It’s at least helped me improve my gameplay and plus it’s entertaining! (and so real, I’ve hit surrender an embarrassing amount of times. Very comforting to know this is a semi-universal experience lmao…)
Also, those “eating up these flop” type vids are usually either rage bait or the more toxic type of ppl who just like purposely upsetting ppl. Not sure how to go about avoiding them or keeping them off ur mind, but it helps to know they won’t get satisfaction unless they have a reaction.
I am so late to this (as,, other comments have stated) but that's because i'm personally going through a ton but during this new era of my life your videos have brought comfort and laughs to my life. I find myself showing others your videos and truthfully, I think I've gotten better SINCE watching your videos. I've been playing for 3 years but since watching and enjoying your content I've gotten better in something i take comfort in. Idv is more than what it is for most people, its competition, its something to fall back on, people taking it too srsly. But I find the best players are the ones who just enjoy the game and have fun, so continue to do so.

At the end idv is just a game to have fun and enjoy the time, which we often tend to forget in heat of the moment. Your videos made me laugh so much and encouraged me to just play the game for fun! I watch your videos as I get ready for the day, prepare for shows, and even when I play idv because I’m pretty fixated on this game… I enjoy all of your content so much and your voice is just like the perfect idv competition commentator voice! I'm a recent college graduate and when I was too busy studying to really play the game (because this is my hyperfixation-) I'd watch your videos to fill that! Your voice was very soothing to my soul and even if you weren't perfect, it felt so real. We always go for the perfect kites and early knockdowns depending on your faction ofc, so it was a breath of fresh air to see someone uploading their kites, even if they weren't perfect. Because no one is perfect at the game. Everyone has those rounds, and bro you've literally come so far in a year!!! That's no small feat!!!!
For the people who just want to bring you down, they're just sad pathetic people who feed off negativity. Misery loves company after all. I'm really glad to watch this video because I used to follow you all the way back when I started playing, and stopped watching around COA due to the not so healthy community and the constant frustration you seemed to go through in every video (and stream). I couldn't understand why suddenly you were somewhat obsessed with your own matches and being overly negative about your gameplay, characters or balancing, but this puts things into perspective.
I'm looking forward into seeing you improve on those senses because I do miss your really genuine positive content, and I really appreciated you sharing your discovery, experience and enjoyment of the game (specially as someone who was new at the time; things like events or lore videos were just magical to me) way more than your skills. i love your hunter/survivor content whether you flop or not 😭 frankly it's really refreshing to see people lose because it reminds me that its normal and that you can gain learning experiences from it. ur commentary isnt the problem, its alot like what u said, viewers get tired of watching tourney because the character picks and the gameplay get really repetitive. people treat content creators like they’re some high class individuals who only play to be good. dont feel obligated to post everyday and feel free to take breaks if it gets too much 🤞 ur content is entertaining to watch no matter if ur playing the game or just commentating on matches

Ngl, this video made me tear up a little, as well as the comments😭. I dont know how people can be so negative and mean towards someone for simply having different opinions and emotions towards certain characters and other stuff. I never try to hold high expectations on content creators because they are also people, people who have other things in life that get in the way as well as being their self outside of creating content.
I for one love, and i mean TRULY love your commentary on tournaments as well as gameplay of yourself and others. Just listening to someone speak about what is going on in the video, trying to decipher what the hunter/survivors are thinking while doing certain actions, is interesting to me. I enjoy listening to what you have to say and the silly jokes that you come up with. They make me laugh and help lighten up my mood wherever I'm having a bad day.
Your videos alone can help brighten up my day and mood when I'm feeling anxious or scared about something personal. I look forward to every video you come out with and get happy whenever i get a notification that you or santi post a video/go live😅

Also, i didn't know clicking on a video and clicking off a video right after can affect creators negatively I would usually click on the notification and turn off my phone a few minutes after because i was busy at the time or couldn't watch the video😔 From now on I'll try my best to remember not to click on a video if I cant watch it at the time🙀😭

Also about the jokes thing, running gags are pretty fun! I love all the videos you put out, I don't comment a lot because I've never been the type to do so but ever since I discovered your channel, it got me back into idv a lot. I binge watched almost all of your older videos too, even some of your very first idv streams on your gaming channel, and I just been having a really great time. The expectations part made me feel so strongly. I wish i could reccomend a solution that could make it better but being a CC is hard. I personally enjoyed all your videos and have since the first couple uploads. I have religiously weather ive commented or not watched every single video youve put out this far even VODS. I love to fall asleep to your videos too your voice despite your own feelings on it isnt too whacky youtuber but its also not boring. I do look forward to your videos everyday because you brung variety to the scene and made id seem less boring and toxic.
You've been my favorite IDV creator ever since I discovered you precisely because of your relatability, in that sometimes you succeed and sometimes you don't. I love that you aren't afraid to post the outcome either way. It can be fun to watch very high tier players play and be impressed by their knowledge, but to me it's even more fun to see someone play like a regular person would, mistakes and learning moments included. It's so much more, idk, human? And that gives it character and entertainment value that a perfect game doesn't have for me.
I'll always support you as you continue to improve, but please don’t be afraid to struggle sometimes! It happens to everyone, and being a content creator shouldn't make you feel like you have to curate your gameplay to only show your best plays. I've been trying to learn psychologist alongside you, and it's been a blast, even when I flop because she, yknow, can't do anything 😂
Remember, no one came out of the womb an ace at every character, and who knows? Maybe the people who say "your x gameplay hurts me" would hurt YOU if you tried to watch them use your glorious king 😂 Leanring new characters is awesome but you're allowed to have favorites and good charcters and bad ones, same as everybody else.

i actually found u from tiktok, and zeez the best thing about you is the fact you are emotionally open. Its so relatable in such a good way, and your emotional intelligence, negative or positive, makes me feel seen. especially in an idv gameplay sense. the fact you do complain, critic yourself, and other characteristics, make you human, especially on a online platform. its hard, its mind numbing. but your amazing, i hope you path on bettering yourself, for you, starts going well! Focus on your friends, you, and what you love to do!
Expectations are so hard to manage, but as a player who's still improving in terms of my survivor abilities, I love watching you get better!! Seeing you "mess up", I'm like. Wow, even cool CCs make the same silly mistakes as me, we're all human players, not AI. It is way more important to have fun than to try to adhere to what people expect of you. Even COA players flop in tournaments, I don't think it should be so heavily criticized to not be perfect, especially in a game we're meant to have fun with
zeez i think it's so sad that people are like this :( you're so bubbly and one of my favorite idv content creators ever and your skill and willingness to learn certainly exceeds most players. i don't think you're bad at all. i mess up so many times in idv, rank and every other game mode. i'm very close to alicorn and i often make a small mistake and in post match someone will be hateful sometimes. it definitely hurts and i always apologize but i also realize that ANYONE can make a mistake and if someone throws a match, it's funny, sometimes annoying, but okay. seriously, EVERYONE makes mistakes and we have to learn to laugh it off. it sucks that so many people fail to realize that. have you watched gumball idv's video on the stress of idv?? it's SUPER relatable and i think you'd enjoy it a lot

next, I totally understand what you mean with expectations-being popular comes with its benefits and its downsides, one of which being people having no sense of respect or decency. people assume that nothing affects you, that you’re untouchable. but you’re still a person! you’re allowed to voice your opinions, your feelings, etc! again, I appreciate how open you are, I find it relatable to see someone who is still learning. I’m glad that you’re changing your mindset and helping yourself as well.
a lot of people in the IDV fanbase operate under the assumption that everyone has to be good at all times, that they’re perfect, never make any mistakes. they forget that there are people behind the screen, that ultimately it’s just a game, and that lots of people are here to have fun. there’s nothing wrong with making mistakes or being “bad” as they view it, believe me, I am very much bad at the game myself! as long as you enjoy what you’re doing, that’s what matters! you’ve improved a ton as a player, and we’re all cheering you on! hunter and survivor alike, you’ve made progress, and we hope you’re proud of yourself!
so, I love all of the content you make-tourney commentary, original gameplay, collab with others, you’re a generally fun person to watch! you engage with people, you inspire them to keep playing the game, to keep going, that’s a super important thing! but you should also do what you think is most entertaining for you as well, and it’s totes fine if tourney commentary takes a backseat! the meta does make it pretty repetitive after all! it’s fine if you take a break, it’s fine if you make some content more than others, it’s ultimately your decision!

As someone that has been playing the game since 2018 I have to say that you are by far one of the most entertaining youtubers that I've come across around the many content creators that I've had the chance to look on that tackle the game and trust me when I say that that I never expected to watch 1 hour of commentary for random tournaments. Or watch a youtuber's every post on the daily. When it comes to identity V content, you have such a rich and varied amount of stuff derived from a game like identity V. And it feels like you take a huge advantage to the game and what it offers, and I have to say that just keep doing what you're doing, because what you're doing right now is really good. And I've had a fun time so far, and I can't wait to keep up as far as I can with your content!

I found your channel recently and was surprised to learn that you hadn't been playing for long, since you still talk about the competitive tournaments, meta changes over the seasons, and reference older events. A lot of players who have been playing for longer don't know or don't care about all those events like you do, and many of them certainly don't care about improving themselves and analyzing gameplays like you do, whether from their own games or from their teammates. halfway into the video but i definitely agree on keeping a positive mindset and ignoring the negative comments that come your way; the idv community is an ugly one and is full of people wanting to troll / rage bait / spread hate, the only answer is not to give them the attention they crave. there will always be fans and friends who care for you and be there to lift you up, but don't forget to praise yourself as well. you're doing the best that you can and are willing to improve and listen to constructive criticism, and i think that's all that matters. 👍
No matter what content you do or how you play I personally mostly care about how fun and entertaining you are in general! Your sense of humor is always cheering me up when I'm having a bad day and your interest in competitive made me also interested in it :)) and yea it can be hard but try to focus on the positive feedback because that's the people who actually watch you and are enjoying your content!!!

Even as you improve, there will always be people who say things like, “I miss the old Zeez when he first started and wasn’t as good. I don’t care for the new Zeez.” There will always be complaints no matter what you do, and it’s impossible to make everyone happy.
So, if some people are going to hate on you regardless, focus on what makes you happy. Express your thoughts, feel comfortable with your mistakes, and repeat the jokes that bring you joy. As long as you’re not doing anything wrong, no one has the right to make you feel down.

I really want to thanks you for talking about all of that. I recently go for mammouth rank and since i'm in there i feel so bad when i play. I feel like my level is completely behind what it should, because Hunter seem so perfect... in général, i don't reconize myself in the idv fandom, because they are so rude. There were a time when i had post match comment active and i had rude comment by the past like : go back to tutorial, or the badge is just for the fame thing like this. And it Hurt. They could just explain what was bad for them instead of insulting but they don't. And i really think it's sad...
I feel you on this so much. I started playing back in January and criticism can be so difficult when you havent been playing for nearly as long as others. I love idv but critism gets so bad i stopped playing in may because the only thing i can think of is how badly im gonna be criticized especially as someone who plays solo. Random people can be so critical. I can’t imagine how much worse it can be when you have so many people watching you play. People are so critical about a video game.
