I just found your channel and I love or tutorials I never thought of spackling before you paint why isn't it done at that time, keep making your tutorials I absolutely love them ❤
Hello! Thank you so much! It does take a little more time to paint after but I feel like the spackling gets too loose and loses its form if you add paint first.
Hello! I do sand some of them . I use a medium sanding block. It can get pretty messy. I do wear a mask. I used to glue boards to the bottom of all my cakes and sell them like that with a matching ribbon around the edge of the board. But I have stopped glueing the majority of the cakes I make to boards. Thanks for your questions! 💖
New here to fake bake and never heard anyone using house paints so in this case it’s thicker so less paint than using the standard acrylic paints I would think? Also do you buy flat, satin, eggshell? The paper sprinkles don’t fade or do you seal the whole thing with acrylic spray? Finally what did you use for the cherry? Sorry lots of questions but trying to learn and love this ❤ 👏🏻 👏🏻 thx for sharing!
This is construction at its finest! Tools, glasses, a mask and spackle, it feels like a proper job. I love it. What a great idea and thank you for sharing. ♥ I made my first cake slice, it took ages but I am getting more confident.. thank you for all your tutorials. I find a piece of denim to clean the hot knife blade works very well. 💖 Can you add a link for the sparkles? I looked on Amazon and cant see any like it.
Hi! This is so cute! I love your tutorials! In one of them, you said you sand your cakes to make them smooth. Do you use extra fine sandpaper until it's completely smooth? I'm familiar with using sandpaper with resin, but it's done wet (to keep from inhaling resin dust) and not dry. I know this is dry because you said wear a mask. Oh, and one more question......you hot glue the cake to the cake board to keep it from moving around. Do you peel it off once the cake is finished and dry or does the customer do that when they get the cake?
