After resetting your QNAP TS-233 NAS, the default administrator password depends on the firmware version installed: Firmware QTS 4.4.2 or later: The default password is the first MAC address of the NAS in uppercase letters and without special characters. For example, if the MAC address is 00-08-9B-F6-15-75, the password would be 00089BF61575. NAS COMPARES Firmware versions prior to QTS 4.4.2: The default password is admin. If you're unable to log in using these credentials, consider the following steps: Verify the Firmware Version: Determine your NAS's firmware version to ensure you're using the correct default password format. Check the MAC Address: Use Qfinder Pro to locate your NAS and identify the correct MAC address. Ensure you're using the MAC address of NIC 1, formatted correctly (uppercase letters, no separators). Perform a Basic System Reset: Press and hold the reset button on the back of the NAS for 3 seconds until you hear a beep. This action resets the administrator password to the default value and re-enables the "admin" account if it was disabled. Note that this reset also changes other system settings to their default values. QNAP If these steps don't resolve the issue, it's advisable to open a support ticket with QNAP for further assistance.
