      Isopropyl alcohol, best for cleaning components. Chemical compound with a strong odor. Thanks for reaching 🤭😉

    Just wanted to thank you for taking the time in making this video. I was able to upgrade and replace the hidden two 4GB memory that came with my P75-a7200 very similar to the laptop you had in this video. Now I was able to max to 32GB, breathing a new life to my old but still good Laptop.

    Hello to Serbia! Great tutorial video👍 Many thanks for sharing! As I only need to get access to the 2 SODIMM slots to upgrade the RAM to 32GB (4x8) in total I would like to know whether its really needed to detach all the connectors from the motherboard to turn it and replace the 2 memory modules on the backside.
    Looking forward to getting your kind reply please. Cheers from Germany, Bernd 👋😊

      Greetings to Bern! Thank you for your kind words! Yeah, you need to detach all connectors in order to add 2 modules. 🫡 Good luck 👍, wish you the best. If you need any help through the process, let me know.

      @@Chichinjo Okay, thanks for your kind reply, Chichinjo! I'll give it a try. Enriching my old notebook by another +20GB, from 12 to 32GB. So far I was still satisfied with it but since I startet to edit/ postprocess uncompressed RAW images of my Sony A7iii camera, its performance was no more at the level where I expected it to be (using Win10). Best regards, Bernd 👋😊

    I had to replace the original english keyboard by a french one, it was rather difficult as there is a plastic plate covering the keyboard with 18 screws !

    Hello Chichinjo! Thanks for this helpful video. I have a couple of questions:
    1) What is the component that you are installing at 13:40-13:26?
    2) Are the two RAM modules at 17:20 the same as the ones you took out at 6:45?
    3) Would it be okay if I upgraded from 2x4 GB to 1x8 GB plus 2x4 GB (total of 16GB)?

    • @Chichinjo
      @Chichinjo  3 года назад

      Hey David! You welcome :)
      1. That is mSata storage Kingston SUV500.
      2. Yes, Toshiba P70-A has 4 SODIMM sockets. I upgrade it with 2x8GB and left 2x4GB so now it has 24GB.
      3. Of course it will be OK, you couldn't use a feature that comes with paired memory, but more RAM is always a good thing.

    Thanks! It helped me to troubleshoot and attempt to repair the same laptop that appears to be overheating. Can you tell me the thickness of the thermal pads you used? Also what was the make and model number of the solid state drive you added on the motherboard?

    Hello, I just loved your video. That's a great job!
    I wanted to know if you would please help me with what kind of memory RAM you used, also the SSD drive and the thermal pads 🙏🏻.
    And also if you weren't in trouble with the drivers after update to Windows 10, cause in my case, the Bluetooth, keyboard backlight, camera and SD card reader didn't work anymore :|.

    • @Chichinjo
      @Chichinjo  3 года назад +1

      In terms of drivers, uninstall it from device manager, then find proper one. SSD or mSata? Ram modules are 8 gb SODIMM ddr3l, i think 1600Mhz. Thermal pads are 1 mm, I recommend thermal grizzly.

      @@J.M.Morales-Romero mSata is ancestor of m.2 and NVME drives. You have a model somewhere in the comments down bellow.
      There are termal pads that are more efficient than thermal paste.

    Great video. It was an easy fix on my laptop, by watching this video. Thaks again. But a also have an aditional question...recently i have discovered that the instaled 4th generation intel i7 CPU is not compatible with Windows 11. Which CPU do you recommend and must it have a intergraded graphics or not given the case that it also has a invidia graphics?

    • @Chichinjo
      @Chichinjo  2 года назад +1

      Thank you very much Peter. Well, even it is not recomanded you can install w11 on it. Just go create bootable USB with w11 and install it. ❤️

    • @Chichinjo
      @Chichinjo  2 года назад +1

      And in terms of CPU it is always good to have dual graphic, Intel integrated and Nvdia or Amd as second.
