I owned a Sony ICF-2010 for over 35 years, a great unit for shortwave and AM listening with its sync detector.
Unfortunately, in March of 2022, it stopped working, maybe something inside the radio failed--a filter or something else? Anyhow, the '2010 had a great run, and I enjoyed doing most of my listening on it.

Hello. It depends. First of all can it be switched on? The most common thing which fails is a 2SK152 N channel JFET transistor. Also known as Q303. Lack of sensitivity especially on SW bands and other common issues.
