We just bought at BWV, and we love it. I've seen so many videos over the years of people complaining about too much color/not enough color, too many characters/not enough characters, only sleeps 4/sleeps 5 but not enough drawers. I honestly don't know what magical design would make everyone happy.
Smart idea to add a senior citizen to your group as there are many seniors that love disney and visit every year❤

Oh boy, the issues with the cabinets whacking into the wall, the bathroom switch hidden behind the towels, the sloppy paint job--has DVC given up? I expect a combo rain shower head as well as a hand-held shower. Most of us are bringing our children and need that hand-held shower! We also need a table for small meals/work. If my kids have to eat on the sofa balancing their plates, we would be tracking crumbs all over the room during the whole vacation! We need 2 additional chairs for everyone to sit comfortably, the ottomans are not going to cut it. At any standard hotel there is one office chair at a desk and one upholstered chair. For me, it's not about the way it looks, I am disappointed that there is no thought for the members and what we need to use the room comfortably AT ALL. The DVC motto is Welcome HOME for goodness sake.
Will be there in April as the first half of my split stay..then off to the Polynesian. Thanks for the tour!

Great video. I agree with the criticisms but at the same time it wouldn’t stop me from staying there, the location is too good
DVC. Our granddaughter is 14. She's stayed at every resort. Her favorite is Boardwalk. ❤😊Said she even loves the way it smells!

The thermostat and the lack of a ceiling fan are huge downgrades.
I wish they didn't get rid of the table with two chairs. I loved eating there in the morning
I asked the front desk to bring me up a real chair and they did! Maybe if enough guests request chairs they will get the point!! The pull up coffee table worked out well for eating BUT ONLY because I had a real chair.
I've never been tempted to stay at boardwalk, and this makes me even less tempted haha I'll stick with my beloved Riviera

First of all I absolutely love the Boardwalk Resort! I love the new colors and art work used in this room! I agree - there should be more color on that bland wall and add a chair in that corner area. I love Amy's honest review of the room (cupboard and drawer placements especially). I wish Disney had at least installed a pocket door to use the bath sink area to change in. We noticed this at the Beach Club Resort standard rooms recently and I had to use the closet when 3 of us were trying to change at the same time.
I really like the refurbed room! Hope to stay in one sometime!

More like the bland-walk. I also painted part of my house like the old rooms. Very similar to the 2018 behr color of the year.
Needs ceiling fan back, especially if AC doesn’t go below 68!

We stayed in a similar, if not the same, room in Jan 2024. Three of us were comfortable and since we weren’t in the room except to sleep it was fine. It was our first DVC stay and now I’m curious about the pre-reno rooms. Hoping to stay at the Poly Villas next time.
Looks a lot like SSR, but I think they put more color in SSR.
They did add color to the walls at SSR. Plus they have a fan and hand held shower heads!

I'm a bit conflicted. While I very much appreciate and like the Disney specific touches, there seems to be something missing on the overall cohesive theming of the room. Like they got 80% of the way there and decided good enough
I think its just color. They need some color in the room whether its on the walls or bedding.
I think there is definitely more theming than some other recent refurbs. I like the boardwalk look of the tile in the entry way. My biggest disappointment is the big grey square on the 5th sleeper something should have gone there to give that wall something

I liked this reno when it was done in Saratoga springs. Not so much here. They look almost the same. Boardwalk should have way more theming
Are ALL the Deluxe Studios getting this renovation done? Hoping to Rent thru a DVC rental service for our next trip.
Yes. Every DVC studio and villa.
DVC is suppose to be a home away from home but no table or table is horrible. I wish they decorated like the wall inside the Murphy bed.
The best artwork is on the inside of the Murphy bed and the pull-down bed but you only see it when the beds are being used!!
@@marylittig4767the best "artwork" isn't art at all. It's clearly an AI filter on top of an actual photograph. So tacky and tasteless.

The fact that they expect you to sit on an ottoman to eat is just ridiculous! I am 68 with a bad back! They are going to have to get me a couple chairs.

Debating on stay here at either in the studios or the resort view room. Maybe Beach club. Unsure.

Except Saratoga studios have the ceiling fans, color on the walls, the handheld shower heads and more art work :(

Such an odd thing to say. So if you like it everyone should? What a boring world we would live in if we all had the same taste. Some people like this, some people don’t. I think everyone’s opinions are valid.
Ugh, BO-ring. A copy of every cookie cutter new home built in the last 10 years. Good thing for the view and the lobby; otherwise I'd never consider this resort. But thanks to Mary for allowing the tour. DVC isn't kidding when they say they want you feel like you're at home! LOL

WOW, not going back. Boardwalk was one of my favorite stays but hospital room is not for us.

I'm in the minority because I think it looks lovely. Yes, it needs a table and chairs, but that's my only criticism.

I don’t like the white unfinished look at the Disney hotels. Fire whoever decided to trash and cheap out what used to be nice places to stay. Please stop the insanity Disney. Boring.
I love Boardwalk and have rented points in the past to stay there. While I agree that the rooms were in desperate need of a refresh (the sofa was nasty). The rooms pre remodel actually fit the theme of the resort and immersed you in the theme and time period. Post remodel the rooms are ugly, bland, poorly designed in terms of placement of items and offer nothing unique or immersive in theming. If I wanted a non themed bland room I could find anywhere, I can just stay at a hotel by Disney Springs and save a lot of money.
Our DVC rooms just get more and more bland. Really disappointed.

After seeing how well done boulder ridge was done I had higher hopes. This seems so bland
the lack of attention to quality work is what the worst! paint drippings, crooked cabinet doors. all just like lipstick on a pig. so sad considering the cost of dvc
The only color in the room was the artwork. Don't like the white on white.
It seems a little sterile, where's all the character? Boardwalk is one of my favorite resorts, we own there. Not very happy with this new look.
Classic DVC reno. Bland. Cookie-cutter. Shameful.
That "artwork" is clearly AI filters on top of actual photographs. So trashy and cheap. What a slap in the face to real artists who would have loved to have worked on those. Disney cheaping out once again.
Well that room is trash. No way am I buying there.
