    If you take a burnt out lamp (where the filament is broken) and connect the high voltage to the live and neutral connections of the lamp the plasma will stay between the 2 pieces of metal inside the lamp.

    I wonder how the commercially made plasma globes work? They don't have a washer or wire on top. Is your body (ground) the other electrode?

    Excellent. Thank you! Would love to see this idea expanded. I bought one of these kits a long time ago and hadn't decided what to do with it. Now I'm thinking of some kind of plasma ball thing. How do the commercial plasma ball/lamps work without a conductor on the outer glass sphere?

      They couple to the air through capacitance mate

    • @T2D.SteveArcs
      @T2D.SteveArcs 4 года назад

      You can do the same with a lamp at higher frequency
      .

  • @tinkertuber
    @tinkertuber 2 года назад

    You actual only need the base wire since the capacity of the glass is enough to make arcs.

    great channel..i have made some of your circuits, they worked very well. I made your Tesla Coils successfully. I would like to know if you can make a slayer exciter using the Tip-35c trans. If possible using 2 or 3 of in parallel. I am having problems getting one of these to work correctly...Thanks

    So, all light bulb is a plasma ball? If it is empty, will it work? So, there are four things in primary, + and -, glass, and gases, and metal. You can touch it? If not, why not?

      It is a high frequncy high voltage low power source. Most likely it will burn your skin, because of the skin effect. 230v main voltage is more lethal.
