Oh wow, Raiden went twin stick shooter. I used to play Raiden in the arcade and if you think Nova is intense imagine pushing the fire button fast enough to keep the tracking plasma laser engaged for the whole run. I swear my right forearm was like Hellboy's after hitting that arcade for a couple of weeks. The only workout more intense in the arcade was Fighting Mania which had 6 actual punch pads that would spring out for you to hit with your fists because it was based off of the Fist of the North Star anime series.
Ah, no auto fire for the arcade machines. :) I have played Raiden IV and V on Steam. IV is really good I think. I like that you basically switch to a more traditional autoscrolling gamemode for the bossfights.
@@PixelPulseAdventure I just got the game myself and it feels like a hybred of Raiden and the Survivor genre using the same basic game mechanics present in Vampire Survivors but as a twin stick shooter. I played one game so far and I really like what I see. It's going to be so hard to find time because karate Survivor is also amazing and Vampire Survivors just unleashed the Castlevania DLC and that's a ton of Survivor games all at once.

@@JeffersonRedeyes Yes, you even get a currency for upgrading your ship inbetween games. We are living in good times! :)
Omg. Did they just turn one of the best scroller shooters ever into Robotron?
I am fine with that. But I would like to see another Raiden vertical shooter.
