I really like this advice. Spot on! When I was 18-19 years old I worked at a Men’s Clothing store. We sold classic clothing - suits, trousers, dress shirts, men’s leisure attire, and 501Jeans! I’m confident that any of the clothes we sold back then, could be worn today. We had an instore tailor. I always recommended to my customers to take advantage of the free tailoring services that came with their purchase. Customers looked great and always came back to shop with us

Language is European vs. North American; both are fine. I prefer people use the terms of their country. Love when a Brit says trousers, jumper, braces, etc. It seems like other Europeans also use these terms. I like using the style name as we never say jean pants, we just say jeans, and when searching on a store website you just type in chinos and not chino pants. I just picked up a pair of vintage wool pants that had no size or brand inside, but the maker saw fit to have a sewn in label that said, "All Wool Trousers". lol

In Europe we learn British English but we watch American movies/videos/podcast... so I know sometimes we use both words interchangeably :)
And btw probably that trousers are much better than any wool trousers you can find today.

I am tall, but I am disproportionately long torso. Therefore high rise pants are good to adjust my balance and elongate my legs. I strive for just under or at the navel. This is not easy to find in off the rack pants in the USA. Also I like just a slight break at my shoes. In the USA we generally have four terms for pants - Dress Pants (wool), Chinos, Khakis (tight weave cotton twill pants), and jeans.

Great video! I've been researching the rise of jeans and their importance. Do you recommend any men's brands of jeans with higher rises? 11-12"? Thanks!

Nude Jeans offers some hight waisted, also levis vintage line like 1956 if I'm not wrong, but they're quite expensive.

Levi's 511, are they too slim according to you? Thanks!

It depends on your body shape, if you are quite big probably they will be too slim on you. But they can work with my body 181 cm and 70 kg, even tho i prefer the 501.

Hey man, good video! I do struggle a lot with pants because I have big thighs but a smaller waist (I have muscular build, 1.85m x 90kg). I have to wear 34 waist but in reality i think i am a 32, do you have any tips?

I know I lot of people with same problem, is better if you get the 34 and find a good tailor, or try Made to measure.
