What if angel really is Alt Cunningham and the rogue ai that v meets beyond the blackwall in 2077 isnt actually a rogue ai but alt pretending to be a rogue ai so v or anyone else doesn’t go looking for her and in the endings where v chooses to stay in their body alt doesn’t consume Johnny’s engram but transfers it back into his body
I think you are overthinking it. Alt was beyond the wall. Alt V met might have been just her alter ego, or AI who aped Alt. Or it might be second Alt. Alt made a copy of herself and either left or stayed beyond the wall. The sould fuckery is main theme of Cyberpunk genre. The idea that your soul can be copied and replicated is also main theme of C77.
I wonder what happened between 2045 & 2077? How did Smasher/Grayson end up with Johnny’s gun & car? I know the Malorian was given to Zara by Samantha. Is it somehow related to Trace Santiago & Rogue’s work that she did with Arasaka? Work she doesn’t like to discuss? Michiko Arasaka was with this crew in 2045 as if she was defecting from the family, then we see her again in 2077 back with Arasaka. I feel like that quick Michiko cameo (in the Devil ending) along with Rogue’s easily forgettable last phone call to her son (Sun ending) weren’t coincidences. Could speculate all day about what happened but if Arasaka got ahold of Trace, a mother would do anything to spare him, even betray friends. For what it’s worth, I’m 99% Angel = the fragments of Alt that weren’t gobbled by an AI, and about 75% convinced Johnny was brought back. Also think “Where’s Johnny?” has double meaning beyond just the story in the comic, and that rumors of him being alive up until shortly before 2077 have truth to them. “Where’s Johnny?” implies a missing person, not a dead one, so he could be in hiding in 2077.
I'm really hoping these are all threads that are going to lead into Orion. It seems Mike Pondsmith is rather attached to Michiko's story and even has adventures written for her that he loves but said he can't release yet because her story in the game isn't complete (that crazy 18th birthday adventure for example). I know Danger Girl came out in August, so I really need to read that because it feels if he released that one but not the others there is a reason. Mike Pondsmith seems to be incredibly careful with the lore and takes great care to not canonize stories or facts that could cause contradictions in future lore. He was so involved in the lore for the game and makes it clear whatever happens in it is cannon as much as the books are. There is a picture behind the bar in Afterlife of this crew, so there already is a clue to it having happened by 2077. I'm 100% sold on the idea that Angel is Alt, in some form. Thats as good as cannon in my head because it all just adds up so well. Alt was incredibly careful to leave safety nets all over the place in case things went really bad. She may have had the help of whatever was left of Bartmoss while trying to gather herself from across the web. I think by the time V has entered the picture Bartmoss's AI has probably lost all sense of his humanity and could even be an antagonist in the sequel. Super powerful crazed AI reaching out from the Net to cause chaos in the real world however it can. (possible spoilers ahead!!) Hell, what if he is the voice coming from the new Militech Canto Mk.6? I'm currently unsure of Johnny's condition. I don't know if he's out there already, but if Angel is Alt then why wouldn't it be possible she did the same for him? If he isn't, I could see Angel wanting to bring him back how she did, so maybe that could be one of the end goals of the game? Finding out some back up of him exists somewhere so V with some of the original crew have to go find it, meanwhile dealing with the AI along the way. You know, theres a teeny bit of lore directly from Mike Poundsmith's mouth while in character as Maximum Mike. He is the DJ on the station Morro Rock. I find this fascinating. He insinuates one night after a few drinks Spider looked Mike directly in the eye and with all earnestness told him the Net is Hell. Like, actual Hell. That it sings in Aramaic. Thats why Bartmoss called them daemons. He didn't make the Net. He FOUND the Net. Thats so eerie, especially taking into consideration our interactions with it in Phantom Liberty. And what would that make Songbird?? It certainly gives you a feeling of something super dangerous. And you can HEAR it. I can't tell if it's something you could call singing, but you can still hear whatever it is. They did a great job on the atmosphere when encountering the Black Wall. There is another bit of dialogue Mike shares with us over the radio, sharing his theory about Cyberpsychosis. Essentially, he believes its the Black Wall almost "possessing" the poor person. Reaching through the net to take control of the person and controlling them. It happens to people with more modifications because you need more and more of the Net to be able to use all those pieces of cyberware. Take that for what you will. Sure, some of Mike's stories are embellished. But some of it are just the damn hard facts. From the wiki: "The careful listener or those familiar with the mentioned affairs, might be able to discern fact from fiction, going as far as anticipating things that have not yet happened." That tells me some of what Maximum Mike is telling us in his broadcast is hinting towards what could be to come in the Cyberpunk universe. My bet is an attempt against humanity by rouge AIs (maybe led by Bartmoss?). Mike also mentions Biotechnica trying to use the mycorrhizal networks (forest wide connected root systems plants use to communicate with one another) in Oregon to create an AI. Think about that for a sec. That means they are trying to turn the earth itself into an AI. Fucking Biotechnica. "The only good corp", yeah sure. Think I know why they want to bring all that vegetation back now. Not for the planet, nor the people on it. Just a bigger footprint 🙄 I didn't realize until today while on a lore deep dive how much Biotechnica and Arasaka seem to be in bed together. Or at least used to be. Biotechnica has the clones, Arasaka the consciousnesses on the chips. Put the two together and you've immorality, in a way. 2020 was when Biotechnica made their first actual clone, with a consciousness. Plenty of time for Arasaka to perfect what Alt made to provide Biotechnica the consciousness they needed. Man I could go on about this lore all day, if you let me. I swear my room isn't littered with red string 😅 But check out a video of all Maximum Mike's broadcasts if you haven't yet. Super interesting stuff he shares.

I've never played CP 2077, I'm not a fps player. But, it is a well written story. Not a lot of back story on many of the side characters but they get a lot of character building through their dialogue. I've watched a few of your lore videos, they're very well narrated.
Thanks a lot, it's really cool that you're checking out my videos despite not playing 2077. I appreciate the kind words and definitely agree that the series is well written with a great world continuity. You should try out 2077 if it goes on sale you might really enjoy how it compares to other fps!
You can really play a lot of this game without shooting people if you like. Most missions are designed with more than one solution in mind, usually you can sneak through any level using hacks and skills to remain undetected. You can also spec melee although it works best when paired with at least one gun type. If you think you'd like CP77 and haven't played it because of the shooting you should give it a try because you could definitely beat the game without using guns without making the game impossible. In fact it really doesn't make the game more difficult, just slower paced. Most people use guns because they're the quickest way through missions but then you have to back track through missions to discover the lore. Sneaking actually develops the story more naturally and can be a lot of fun if you like games like dishonored or hitman.
This was beautiful... if that means what I think it means we might actually see Johny Silverhand alive again... that said if his body is radiated as much as that... cloning might not be possible due to the damage it would have done to his cells but if he was shielded well like the hidden cryogenic chamber could do if lead lined enough... he might be able to be cloned, or another copy of his imprint put back into his new cloned body as well, as another one I watched hinted that they had other copies on different systems and sense soul killer doesn't capture the spirit it's just transferring the data they could bring him back to life... even if the real him died by their hands... or they could even change it to him dying from the radiation or dying before that... if so if the body was kept just right might could in theory bring the real him back spirit and all.
Because the game said that his body was left in the garbage dump... yeah you can find his arm and even equip it but you still don't find his body there.
@@ghostphantom8453 You don't, it was possible during early post launch period to get the arm as an equipable item after you did some of his missions but this was more than likely just a bug since the arm didnt even have a name while in inventory and it was later removed.

Silverhand likely died in the nuke explosions with several others but his memories were recovered by Arasaka technicians. One of the members of his group was likely a handler put there to make sure Johnny carried out the operation according to plan then eliminate him afterwards.
Spider Murphy recovered Johnny's data after Adam Smasher cut him in half with his super shotgun. Murphy managed to get out with Rogue and whoever survived from their team.

Glad I got a choom like you supporting my Content. All your comments, feedback, and ideas are nova. Currently composing a new theory about Smasher being a construct!
Oh cool, this is my favorite story in the franchise. I've even run it as an adventure at my table. There's a (maybe common) interpretation about the revelation at the end of the story, and I happen to disagree. I don't want to spoil it in the comments though.
Spoilers below: Please read the story first. The character of Angel is a mysterious enigma. Almost everyone who reads this reaches the same conclusion: Angel is Alt Cunningham. She has the hair color. She has the personal connection to Johnny. She has the smarts to elect herself a nuclear weapons engineer. I don't think that's right. I have two reasons. The first reason is the obvious break in lore continuity. Alt isn't alive at this point in the timeline except as an AI, rescued by Spider Murphy and likely on the old NET by this point. The second reason is that this reveal conflicts with the deceptive nature of the rest of the story. The cargo wasn't a bomb despite all the clues and confirmation from a knowledgeable source, Michiko. Why should Angel be exactly what the clues indicate she is? If not Alt, the who is she? There's another character who fits the mold: Rogue. Except for the hair color, Angel looks a lot like the old 2020 illustrations of Rogue. Alt probably saw Johnny's Malorian, but Rogue definitely saw him use it during the two raids on Arasaka Tower, and so Angel recognizes the sidearm. By 2045, Rogue has settled into Night City as a Fixer according to the Red rulebook, but Black Dog takes place years before that. As an ex-girlfriend of Johnny, it would be within character for Rogue to have that emotional reaction to seeing his dead face.
Do you think cp2077 will eventually turn into something like altered carbon's universe? Honestly thats where i see this happening. Physical bodies become just cosmetics basically. Maybe they can do that cool consciencous beam space travel to basically reach to the planets instantly. Of course the main difference could be you can have metallic bodies and such
I swear i've looked almost everywhere for the statblocks for the party from black dog. And found nothing except for Trace Santiago, in Tales of the Red in a completely unrelated adventure. Anyone know where i can find them?
The body of someone who either a hero or villain because of a bombing of a Japanese company, killing many is now being transported to a place infamous for the development of the atomic bomb used on Japan. Coincidence? I think not!
I've actually never got the chance to run the story for a group. Wish I could honestly, it's just pretty rare when I get a group together so it's far and few. I've heard a lot of stories about running the campaign, interestingly I've never heard one about the players opening the crate completely. Pretty surprising seeing as I've had some pretty insane groups do completely off course things in my campaigns. Such as using a taco truck to traverse the US in Land of the free...
I don't think Cyberpunk 2077 is Cyberpunk tabletop canon, so Silverhand might be remembering stuff wrong, or CP2077 might have gone with a slightly different story, for some reason they didn't use blackhand at ALL, not sure why, licensing issues? That would require the story to be changed. It is still a neat theory
Pondsmith confirmed some time ago that 2077 is Canon to the TTRPGs. The reason Blackhand wasn't involved is that he hasn't finished writing his story yet, so he would've have only a brief appearance. Making it not worth involving him.
Silverhands flashbacks aren't the Canon version. This is because his memories have not only faded, but his engrams been damaged and tampered with. The Canon Events involve Blackhand and Militech in the assault

Glad I got a choom like you supporting my Content. All your comments, feedback, and ideas are nova. Currently composing a new theory about Smasher being a construct!
@@LayedBackGamers i like this idea lol find out night city is all a construct engram stuck in their own part of the net 🤣
@@JohnnySilverwrench Lmao imagine. The entire game is actually mikoshi
These videos are so great. I love having them to listen to at work and fleshing out this incredible universe. 🍻 🥂
Fuck yes. Been waiting for this.
Glad I could deliver it for ya choom! Thanks a lot for the support
Men of culture we meet again.
THE meet up spot of all time
Lol. Late but enjoying 2.0 and PL. Haven't played since launch and enjoy listening to deeper lore to enhance my playthrough in NC.
Cyberpunk lore is 🔥🔥🔥
@@Nickstoner420👆 You are 🔥🔥🔥💛
Man I wish they had hi-tech bows in 2077 that would've been nova as hell
My good sir you need to be narrator
Well as long as it's a Cyberpunk narrator choom 😎
@@LayedBackGamers definitely a Cyberpunk narrator 👍🗣️
I hope the sequel will let us go to space and plan heist on the crystal palace
Extraordinary stuff🎉
Thanks a lot choom! Glad I have your support
Do you think cp2077 will eventually turn into something like altered carbon's universe?
Honestly thats where i see this happening. Physical bodies become just cosmetics basically. Maybe they can do that cool consciencous beam space travel to basically reach to the planets instantly.
Of course the main difference could be you can have metallic bodies and such
Hey choom~ What's the Ost that plays during the chp "Hot Potato"? Keeps giving me a Nocturne Op55N1 vibe but that's not it...
Hello, i luv ur videos.
Well I'm glad to have you watching choom! The kindness means a lot to me
Good Lord I love these videos 🙌
Glad you've been enjoying them choom! The kindness means a lot to me and it's nova to have ya along for the ride
Did you ever run this story as a game at your table? I did. Did you players ever open the crate? Mine did not.
HYPE!!!
SOUND THE ALARMS
Preem video choom
Thanks choom I appreciate the kindness!
Again, no Blackhand assaulting Arasaka, what is canon??
Silverhands flashbacks aren't the Canon version. This is because his memories have not only faded, but his engrams been damaged and tampered with. The Canon Events involve Blackhand and Militech in the assault
what is the nomad vehicle thing that sleeps 6? comby? commie?
Turn the music down a tad next time, it's a distraction tbh.
Apologies choom. Is it the whole video or a specific portion that's too loud?
@@LayedBackGamers - The whole thing, it's called 'background music' for a reason lol ;)
Keep hearing you say Los Alamos in some of your cyberpunk videos and you havent said anything so you know thats IRL area 51
I believe Los Alamos is the location of the Manhattan Project while Area 51 is located in Nevada
@@LayedBackGamers shit your right, idk why I got it mixed up with area 51
