No matter what. She is still an amazing singer. And every artist at some point has used a backing track. Everyone! Even still, there's no denying that Cèline can sing anything. This woman isn't done yet. Just wait. This is also my favorite song of hers.
Wow she really had the greatest voice during her prime. I cant believe she could hold her breath that long. And her vibrato is just perfect ❤
The last one was live, honestly. She has been able to hit the lower key E5 and sustain it successfully since 1998. When comparing various clips on youtube, you can clearly hear the differences between the tones as she aged. There are even days when she sounded a bit sick or slightly off.
I can't agree with you, really. It's a playback note that she's been using since the first "Celine" era (starting 2011). She rerecorded it not so long ago, so we can really hear her matured voice on the recording. But it's still a recording. There are videos where her face is seen clearly. She overacts, wobbles her jaw too much - these are all the signs that she's not singing live. I guess that she just does it because of her tight schedule. Otherwise she would have probably already lost her voice.
Which ones were as high as the originalnal studio version?
Was any of them in the original key as the album version though? The long note an E5 or Eb5 I believe?

I think the only one missing is her second appearance on the tonight show, and the rehearsal at the junk awards which is the best hands down. the second one is from Sonia benezra 1993, the one at 1:22 is the first appearance at the tonight show in November of 1993, and the second arsenio hall is also 1993. :)
+T C Yeah, the best D5 from the rehearsal is missing here. I heard her sing an Eb5 once in a French show but not the last note.

We thought that rehearsal was JUNO Awards all along, but it’s actually American music awards.
@Alex Bodi which in hindsight is obvious seeing the way she sang that bridge...but my why did the actual performance just not nearly compare to that rehearsal?? I will say the more recently uploaded version with improved quality does make that version sound tremendously better but that rehearsal was simply perfect.
I've seen her in Vegas twice since 2016 and I can assure you, it's not pre-recorded. Lol
@@arleen123100 No, the lip-synching starts at the first coris through the end of the song. Only the first verse is live. It’s generally been that way since the 90s.

@@davidneumann3527 nope, if you check out this fan recording :m.ruclips.net/video/ecjTvDeQar8/видео.html as you can see she did sing the first verse live but the rest of the song is lipped using the prerecorded-track, then, later on she went back into the studio and re-recorded it for the dvd
the vocals from boston were dubbed on the cd. she used the same prerecord from Vegas in the performance.
Theres also the rehearsal of Juno in 1994 and 1998 oprah

I wonder why she never did it in the original key … I mean, obviously she would have been able to in her prime, the top note is only Eb5.
I think, the reason to this is the same as the reason why she lowered the key of All By Myself. She never hit an F5 live just because it is to demanding and there's a risk of damaging the vocal chords by doing this continuously. Same here.

Why couldn't she hit and,hold,that E5 live...after all she hit higher notes...and sustained them..
So... she made not just one but multiple songs containing notes that even prime Celine can't even sing? What the heck is that? Whitney hit all the notes and did much more with adlibs. Mariah changed the notes to higher notes, hit all of them, and wrote songs. What's the point of Celine.
