One thing I have noticed is offering a scholarship immediately will slowly accrue weekly interest on your plan b players as opposed to just keeping them on the board without hours until your plan A falls through. Instant commits are nice but I like having my prospects keeping me in mind just because I offered a scholarship
@@adamgeigerjr6995 I only have 400 or 450 hours my first year so I basically Send The House on 8 recruits at a time. All different positions, all the top rated recruits on my board. I used to cheese the 4 stars on week 0 but it was way too easy so I started trying passive rebuilds. Maxing out the recruiting tree and letting the CPU decide who to target. You'll get a more historically accurate recruiting class your first year or two.

Lvl. 3 motivator for off-season training can be incredibly random but also OP at times … Seen jumps of 22 on occasion for certain players and can turn most red shirt freshmen into mid to late 80 OVR players no problem. These dramatic jumps are way more impressive than a standard 3-5 boost across the board because most players I have get progression of at least 5 anyways. Although its not guaranteed your 68 WR will suddenly turn into an 88 OVR with 2 new mental traits & 4 new physical abilities, I've seen it happen enough to trump whatever minute arbitrary bonus you receive from Tactician's tree. (Just save before going into the next season to get a new re-roll of which players will suddenly become studs).
I just found this out recently, but every player has a development trait. Either normal, impact, star, or elite. The trait a player has tells you how quickly they level up, or ‘develop’. So you can get a 3-star player who has an elite development trait and he will wind up better than a 5 star player with a normal development trait (after a few years). So maybe those dudes who jumped 22 levels had the elite development trait!
@@lucasrios1556 So from my several seasons I've run thus far (only with 2 1/2 star teams), I've had numerous players from season to season not only inconsistently increase in overall regardless if they were Elite, Star or Impact & even in several encounters, I saw a player's dev trait itself even change from one season to the next. I kept a spreadsheet of my Tulane, Southern Miss, Rutgers, Texas State, FAU & Fresno State seasons while save scumming before each season 5 times each and literally every off season training was different. The only main difference I saw was whether or not you had invested points in Motivator for specific positions. Aka the only "consistency" I saw from guarantying a specific jump in off season OVR was if you spent points on that position group. But even that would still range from season to season or team to team. Coordinators affect things. Playing style seemed to have significant impacts as well. And even noticed certain groups getting a point or two higher from a former teammate simply being drafted first round. As of right now, it seems WILDLY inconsistent and the best way of making sure you have the "best" off season you can, you should just have multiple saves to re-roll.
Pro potential says that it’s based on projected picks, unless you’ve found that it’s responding to last seasons draft results, it seems that it would benefit you to keep non-senior potential draft picks as they’d continue to improve and still be on your roster which seems better for the pro-potential rating
My current dynasty I just maxed out recruiter then saved my points until I got 2 top 5 classes and spent the rest in the next tier. I currently have 14 5*s in week 7.
I agree 💯 about ceo attributes.. Devs totally F'd this one up.. by the time you win 2 nattys transfers all wanna go to your team already and I'm having to convince people to leave. My next season I'm just gonna draft a shit ton of wrs and Ath to try out the crosstrain and actually get faster dbs cause they usually top out at low 90s speed

How do the coordinator abilities apply? I have coordinators with recruiting trades I don't have but I don't get the ability to give extra hours to DB's for example. I hired them specifically because I wanted to use those perks. Annoying. Considering how obscure all of these effects are they're really should be an option to respec your coach. I hate how the second microtransactions became a thing in sports games most of these companies ripped away a ton of user customization.
That thing about wr to hb I just noticed yesterday, I had a 81 4th option wr with 99 agility moved him to hb in off-season and his rating shot up to 94 as a sophomore. And he was on the preseason heisman list.
I went with tactician to start I am glad. I did I am a 2 star 74 ovr team from team builder and our grades are almost all in red so i am just recruting in my level all three stars and lower i got one four star. My DBs were not great but after upgrading them we starting to stop the pass.
Talent developer is so great mainly select qb then I go trenches and db’s maybe WR’s or LB’s but this coach tree levels up your low guys and top guys so fast and I go for program builder to have my pipelines maxed out for recruiting to get whoever I want
To each there own but for me I upgrade everything that say training boost and gain xp and to me that’s way better like motivator and architect then talent developer and those alone I can take a half star school and turn them to a power house in less time then focusing on recruiting and tactician
Cheesing the unoffered 4star after the preseason is the consensus method to building a team 🤣 I've actually had luck just doing tier 1&2 for recruiter. I normally don't scout or go over 50hrs. Tactician is a nice boost. I even went level 3 motivator for off season progression boost (later in coach build) not a bad setup
It probably does since this game seems to favorite hours over influence arrows, but if I gave 60 hours to my top recruits, I'd only be going for six recruits at a time. I personally like limiting myself to 50 so I can go after 8. I used to use 40 hours per recruit because I thought influence arrows mattered more than the hour count, I was wrong.
@@DFWLAWYER I've read several reports that EA confirmed hours drive the recruitment. I can see the difference in my recruiting. I blow past other programs when I go full tilt with hours (65-80 per week). Not that 50 hours doesn't seem to be more than enough for offline modes.

...you can get 4 star recruits off rip with a level 1 coach starting at recruiter on much worse schools than Tulane. I got 4 star recruits my first year at East Carolina and Western Michigan both as a newly started recruiter coach. Once you figure out how to cheese the system, it's fairly consistent
Not really about recruiting but you mentioned it in the video about moving a HB to FB. I did that with a guy who was like 3rd or 4th on the depth chart. Simmed to training results and he jumped up to a 94 overall out of no where. Definitely gonna be using that 3 star WR tip
Aren’t you better off spending coin on player development through the architect skill over scheme guru if you are recruiting well? My thought is to use architect over scheme guru if I am bringing in talent bc of the offseason training and XP boosts
I would think it would be the opposite. If you are recruiting players that are already high-level then development is probably not as important, but the boosts apply regardless.
When signing/hiring new coaches do they automatically upgrade and get better? My head coach that I control is a level 50 maxed out just lost both by level 50 assistants and had to hire to level 19’s, need to know if these level 19 coaches are going to level up?
You really only need level 2 on recruiter and you get the top class. All the extra get you there faster sure but you only need the first 2 upgrades. Spread it somewhere else. If I'm bored and have alot of points left say i have 30 guys i might look for a gem kicker punter fullback. But i gap it i have like a senior and a freshman on rs. You only need one good punter or kicker on the entire team TBH ive just used punter and will drain 50 yarders. If im at the 50 to the opposing teams 45 i tend to go for it anyways if i dont get it ill just dial up pressure on their first down

If u bring in 5 star QB every other year and use speed option playbook and spam triple-option, u can position change them boys to HB,FB,TE and let ur WR get minutes on the other side. I stand on crosstrain being the best upgrade to use.
I made Bill Belichick my DC with pretty much maxed abilities in the tier one for 3 different categories and my HC completely sold the season because CPU recruiting logic is so bad. Lol.
@@jezoa so I redid the test tonight but I gave Bill time to work out the kinks. 4-8, 4-8, 9-3, 7-6, 7-6 I fully maxed out Motivator and Tactician but I didn't get to Recruiter until the end but he was leveling so slow by that point. My opinion is that you should max out recruiter to get better talent with higher ceilings. Bill was doing all he could to get those 2-3 star players with normal dev to 88 overall 🤣 It was actually impressive. I never had higher than 81 overall because he could only get 2-3 stars because I didn't give him the edge with upgrades. I did set coach xp to fastest because he's a HOF coach lol

coins aren't being allocated per level up. watch out playing too much. lvl 11 coach and I'm esistant to play (on all American and am 10-1 as Iowa) one game away from the big ten championship. known bug right now that kind of destroys dynasty if you let too many level ups go by with the reward. that is part of the new things, and makes it a rug dynasty. I've missed at least 20 points so far. So if I'm awarded the next so many, or they fix it I'm ok not having every level work. I can't justify finishing this year and heading into the next knowing I'm being robbed of precious upgrades I deserved and fought for. All-american is no joke. what a joke to have a bug like this. I see people already at level 50 and can't unlock anything... that's a lot to restart.
Yeah, and there is no way to take back those coins/re-spec the skill tree sucks. I did everything in the recruiter tree but wanted some program builder and strategist. Now I'm wondering if I should restart and not do RB/K like T4G said so I can build how i actually wanted, but damn I liked the guys I got from recruiting. Just got my top recruiting class of 10+ five stars!! Gahh
Sdst is cool but the stadium is small and they have 2 uniform options with 1 helmet. I ended up picking temple. 65k+ capacity with 3 different helmets and more uniform options

Just gotta get lucky. Recruited a 5 star gem 97 speed 83 man corner. They're out there. But yeah, deep threat receivers all have insane speed.

Crosstrain is good if u dont get a lot of DBs. My #2 WR got a pick 6.

How the heck do you unlock elite recruiter? I understand you have to sign two top 5 recruiting classes, but what does that mean??
