It wasn't that Em went against Trump (to Trump fans), we didn't care what he thinks, but when he said he didn't want Trump's fans, like we're a bunch of idiots that can't think for ourselves, as his fan. I thought I was missing something when I watched this yesterday...I thought this was a great tribute to the fact that he looked up to Em and he even states several examples of how he held to that inspiration...I don't get the hate from the "stans". I got goosebumps that this was an honoring of a powerhouse - even if there is or was beef between them...he states he HAD to buy this beat in hopes his tribute would be heard by Em.

Em going against Trump is okay. Nobody cared about that at all. The problem is when Em said if you ain't with me I dont want you. That's different. Famous people especially artist should feel free to say who they support. They shouldn't however try to push their fans to support the same thing or person. There is no freedom of thought in that and freedom of thought and expression is the basis of being an artist. Em recognized this and addressed it in the Ringer.
Nova and Tom KILLED it with this video....The "Stan" Car, the "Stan" Room. Tom is the Ultimate "Stan", spending $100K on a Beat from Em, to turn around and use it to pay Homage to Em.
He payed great homage to Em ..I think all the drama actually helped Tom this song as almost 2mil views in 24hours ..and that's not counting Reactors views ..H.O.G !

Right, apparently people can't like actors or singers that think politically different than them, it's so weird. I think Tom is a moderate he is not on the right or left side of the political spectrum, because I am also a moderate I can agree with either one.

I really appreciate your reaction. It's one of the most honest reactions I've seen over the last several days. I kept saying the same thing, and really being disappointed at the hate I'm seeing. I don't know how we have gotten to this polarizing place as human beings that being cruel to each other. I know Stans cry when I say this but Tom is EASILY this generations "Em". Em was considered highly controversial in the beginning of his career. The "I don't give a fuck" way that Em forced his way into the music realm. And while I love Em, he is damn sure not still rocking that energy.
Tom carries that role for this generation of hip-hop. And I believe 150% that If the world wasn't being overrun with weak ass individuals, who are so insecure that they can't just coexist with anyone or anything that doesn't coddle them and reassure them that their fragile feelings actually matter to anyone else, Tom would be driving the genre at warp speed like Em did.
They all want to shit talk Tom but fail to see how epic it was for an actual independent artist to purchase a beat from Em. And I mean FULLY independent. Because as great as Em is, he still answered to the puppeteers that held that contract. Tom is his own puppeteer!
First time coming across your channel - I'm a long time fan of both Em and Tom, your thoughts on this situation and the way you view music and artists resonates with me more than anything else I've heard on RUclips about this track, so thankyou and sub button smashed.

I profess that my knowledge of rap and hip hop could fit into a thimble. I am trying to learn about it as I gather info about DMX and JDilla on your channel and others. From the first time I heard Tom I knew in my head and heart that he is something special. I don’t hear a diss to Em in this song, just the opposite but maybe bigger fans of the genre with more knowledge can correct me. Your comments were tremendous Michael and spot on as usual. Music IS colorblind. The only problem is that some of the people that listen to it and claim it as their own are not. Really interesting to hear your perspective.
