AWD versus RWD, V8 twin turbo versus V6 twin turbo, roll racer versus dig race, 1400hp R35 GT-R versus 1370hp LS powered Mustang! If you watch the first real race, the Mustang pulls ahead of him and then gets gapped by 2 cars without issue. The only thing that allowed the Mustang to win was Dan's inability or want to launch his car. It makes sense, the transmission is $15k to replace and 90% of the time it is destroyed on the launch. If he knew how to or wanted launch this car, the race would have been terrible for the Mustang and Mustang fans. However, that didn't happen but it's pretty obvious from that first real race that the GTR has more power and is much faster.
Looking at it again, it looks like the GTR has 15 MPH on the Mustang which is insane. Granted the Mustang added 1000 pounds to make it hook, which it still broke traction. Without the weight and from a roll it might still go to the Mustang if he can hook. He was spinning well above 80 with the extra 1000 pounds. Both vehicles are built for different purposes and would need serious work to be a fair race.
@@Jason-id3yp GTR is bought not built, and he's still worried about his trans? That's what I don't get about the GTR guys. The Stang's powerglide is just as much,and he drove 40 hours. If i was bringing the GTR I woulda thrown in a dig tune just to save face. Getting out 60'd by a Stang would keep me up at night

Roll race cars rarely launch. Gears are WAY too long. Danrue only does roll racing. Even on 1320s channel.

Yeah honestly. I know these higher end builds get sponsers and prizes, but there's no way a dirt tuned drag car and a street monster are paying for themselves. What these guys, or hell, any one in grassroots racing with high horsepower builds do to afford them; I'd like to know. Unless they all have well paying side gigs or have no savings.
