Mike, I was the one with the Aloe Vera Gel. It works so good, put it in the refrigerator to get it cold. Vinegar does work also but the Aloe Gel is my personal favorite. You crack me up!

Probably a little late. But years ago my brother got a bad sunburn. I remember our great uncle had mentioned potato juice (brother refused to go around smelling like vinegar). So I cut up a potato and rubbed the juice on him,he said it actually helped!
I forget things all the time. I have started making a list of things I either need to do or buy. It helps some...until I lose the list.😆 Thanks for sharing your day.

ALL RIGHT MIKE, this is what you do.... you will need a blender, take 6 jalapeños and 1 12 oz jar of hot sauce, blend it all together, rub it into your sunburn spots then you should be ready to go lay out at the beach!!

Mike, I'm pretty sure you have sun poisoning. The best cure is to stay out of the sun and if you do go out in the sun, cover up the sun burned areas. For the pain, take ibuprofen and use ice packs or cold wraps for the swelling. I've had sun poisoning several times and it is very painful. It caused extreme pain and aching in my joints. It took several days, maybe a week to feel better. Good luck!
😁😁. I also heard that if you brew some tea & let it cool. & soak your feet in it.or place the tea bags on your feet. Something about the tannic acid in the tea. People use tannic acid for conditions such as cold sores, diaper rash, heat rash, and many others, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses. I don’t know. I have heard a lot of stuff too!
You “heard” correct. Tannins have been shown to posses inflammatory, antimicrobial, antioxidant, immunomodulatory, and antiparasitic properties.

There used to be a product called solar Cain is the only thing to help with sun burn pain but I have not seen it sense the 1980s.so I don’t know if it’s still on the market but it was great .so it’s probably not available anymore.

All right Mike this one dates back to the 1960s you take a garden fresh tomato and slice it in half and and wipe the affected areas with the tomato it always worked on me when ever I get a bad burn but I rarely get bad burns anymore now that I''m old enough to come in out of the direct sunlight for hours on end!

Ya nuts with gas can prices. I keep a weed eater with me, I cant stand trying to move around my camper and truck in 2 ft weeds. Last year I paid 29.00 for it, it broke, and this year its 62.$ So very much sucks, the exact same weed eater. Nuts

Yup I agree with you 💯 on the reason for the price of cans and everything else bring crazy, and the shipping because of fuel prices to put them on the shelf adds to the price too, oh and don't forget that thing is coming all the way from China before it hits the shelf so that manufacturing company got cheap labor and cheap plastic to maximize the profit while ripping us off on the sale
Some people have allergic reactions to the Aloe. This makes the sunburn worse.

Take it from ME who is the WHITEST dood you've ever seen and have had huge blisters as a kid because I was having just TOOOOO much FUN to get outta the sun. .... Noxzema! Rub some of that on your sunburn, make sure it's COOL Noxzema, not anything that's been sitting in the sun, like us. It will SOOTH and make the pain almost INSTANTLY go away. Well.... It does for ME anyways.

I got 6 jerry cans from Walmart’s website 3 years ago they are metal just like the military used in the 1960’s. They are probably thinner metal than the old ones but much better than plastic! Also you can still get the round steel ones with the spring handle and funnel, they are not much more expensive than the plastic contraptions that they sell.

Those types of remedies are usually started by food companies, to get gullible people to buy more of the company’s products, lol. I suppose if that’s all someone had on hand, then it “might” be better than nothing, however, I wouldn’t rely on it as a substitute for actual burn medications.

My mother believed in this too! Years ago my mother soaked my feet in tea & the Dr’s said it saved my feet from serious burns that could have caused complications!

Aren't the Harbor Freight cans about $25? I have lots so i can store gas when it is a dollar off. With a dollar off, gas was $1.99/gal yesterday. I bring extra gas with me when going to Concho so I don't have to buy gas in AZ.

Hi Mike! I know you’ve gotten plenty of advice for your sunburn and you can throw this on the pile, butttttt cold milk feels amazing and will pull the burn out. I found this out after a misfortune sunburn from Myrtle Beach, SC. I was staying with a friend and she had done mission work overseas and said they would use milk to heal the burn and draw out the burn. I know that sounds strange but it works. Just keep dapping the cold milk on it for a little bit. Ur welcome! Lol! God bless!

Sorry to say, it's the "coldness" of the milk (not the milk itself) that reduces the burn & swelling. How do I know this...?...every time I've gotten a bad sunburn, I take an ice cold shower (asap) and let the cold water run over the burn for a minimum of 30 minutes. And if I happen to burn my hand or finger, I fill a cup or bowl with ice and water and plunge my hand (or finger) into the ice water and leave it there for as long as I can take it & repeat the process for 60 minutes (or longer) depending on the severity of the burn. Try it next time you, or someone you know gets a burn, and you'll see just how amazingly well it works without needing to buy/waste milk.

But the vinegar thing, my Mom did use on me when I got huge yellow blisters over 80% of my body from a sunburn. I had to end up going to the dr for mine however. But I do remember someone saying tht about the vinegar, but ur also supposed to put it on a brown paper bag and lay the bag against ur skin. When I was 16 we went Daytona Beach with Mom and Dad and 4 sisters and 1 brother in a 1960 Ford station wagon and I rented a Moped drove it all over the beach with just my shorts on and got the worst sun burn ever.
