It is so great that you push for continued education!! No matter what you do and how good you are, or think you are, shoeing, engineering, garbage hauling, etc.... you can always learn from others!!! Thanks for the great and entertaining video!!!!
I absolutely love how you encourage others to go out and continue learning no matter their trade or profession, it’s such a vital thing that so many people forget you should always do! I’m so glad I found your channel, I’m always so happy to watch you work because of your passion, and how you teach those who watch your videos about each step you do and why you do it. Keep up the amazing work, and take care!
Another great video, Caleb!! Thank you!! I really do love these types of videos you do. This horse has fantastic feet!! And you're correct, No foot, No horse!! And if you say you know everything, then you know nothing at all. I know for myself, as a rider and a trainer, I learn something new every day from the horses I work with. Whether I'm training them or just tuning them up for the owner. Each horse will teach you something if you are willing to LISTEN to what the horse is telling you. All I know is that I've met 2 horsemen in my life that I would love to know what they had forgotten about horses and training!! One was my great grandfather, and the other was a Harness horse trainer here in Ontario. I would dearly love to know what they had forgotten about horses, because both men were so amazing and kind in their methods of training a horse. That motto goes on the wall here: "If you are the smartest person in the room, you're in the wrong room." Right up there with: "If you are not getting better all the time, you're getting worse." Because everybody else is getting better. I love your vids.
Very nice hooves. Interesting to see how much more quickly you can clean up the hoof and re-shoe. How come more horses are maintained in a shorter time cycle like this horse? Your job goes so much faster and less work for you and shorter stand time for the horse in the hoof cradle/stand. Finished hooves looked great! Why no hoof oil? I also noticed one or two changes in the way you prepare, clean up and finish the hoof. Thanks Caleb! ❤❤
Such a beautiful horse, I love how you want to keep learning to make it better for the horse, and yourself of course, thanks so much Caleb for another excellent video, take care.👍💙🐎
I use the same post-cradle for my hoof stand. I've tried others, and it's still my favorite. The only problem I've had is the foot would slide around when pulled forward to rasp. So I took and cut a little piece of 36 grit belt sander material and glued it to the post. Feet don't slide anymore when rasping them forward.
I love how the horse looks over at the camera when you are doing the intro. "Yes, people, I am the star!" LOL
Great job Caleb

How do you sharpen your hoof knives? I can never keep mine sharp no matter what I do. Please help!
Is there a reason you don’t wear gloves?
Actually, that wasn’t a very good shoeing job 😡
I take it that you're a farrier
I’ve only done about 100 horses over the years
