one of my favorite smells is asphalt AFTER a little rain. maybe it's all the dust and sand getting wet, but it's just amazing. it has to do something with my childhood because it smells like summer but idk really. also mens deodorants and perfumes in a shirt that's been wore already...
I like applying setting spray on my wet foundation before I blend it to add longevity to my foundation. Most setting sprays are actually formulated to work best when used that way! Def a summer/hot weather staple
I always put my highlight (on unpowdered cheeks) BEFORE putting on my bronzer and blush - it always still peeks through and looks blinding but it’s just like seamlessly blended and doesn’t look like a big stripe on my face. Been doing it for years!!
The smell of petrol is for me too, its a weird one.. i link it to my Dad who used to pick us up every Friday for the weekend, we'd end up at the garage for a car refill, and loved spending time with him so all good memories from it
Me too!! I think that’s why I like it so much as well - as well as two-stroke fumes from boats! A family friend had a speedboat so we used to go out on it most weekends and the smell reminds me of that!X
SPF lip balm around eyes. Regular sunscreen can run into your eyes but lip balm spf stays in place. Concealer happy AND protected from the sun #wrinklefree
Petrol is my favourite smell too, and the answer to your question, where everything goes in your eyes is they come out in your tear ducts. When you blink the tear liquid helps clear it out and it makes its way to the corner of your eye. Amazing when you think of what the human body can actually do. Loving your eye colours today, gorgeous as ever!
Not a weird hack, but I use contour, bronzer, and highlighter as my eyeshadows. Entirety. Contour/bronzer in the crease and different highlighters all over the lid. Plus inner corner and brow bone highlight. Boom. Done. You can go natural or more dramatic depending on the depth shades. You can go pink/rose gold, peachy/copper, different shades of gold, or bronzy/champagne. You can even use the bright colorful ones for pops of color. I tend to buy highlighter palettes instead of eyeshadow palettes. It’s a great way to use highlighters not designed for your skin tone. You aways end up with super bright, awake-looking eyes looks. I also use primer/setting spray at multiple points throughout doing my make up to blend/set everything together. And the spray and sponge over the top of powder to set everything together. And I always do my tight liner first. It makes it easy to wipe away smudges and smears, and once it dries, you can easily do the rest of your makeup and it doesn’t get disturbed.
I'd love to see you try using an eye primer (like urban decay potion or equivalent, I have the elf version lol) under your eyes before concealer, apparently Wayne Goss came up with it and it changes the game, but I've been too scared to try it myself so far lmao.
The wierd hack I use is actually using a fluffy paint brush to apply my highlighter, never found a brush that works as good as that.. started doing it when i didnt have the money for a highlighter brush
@@alexxeD2000 Yes!😁 I love the super tiny ones and how you can customize the exact stiffness you need! I have one for eyeliner that Jamie French, another youtuber, turned me on to and it just makes wing liner impossible to mess up!! They really are the best for makeup!
For my under eyes I always use… nappy cream, bepanthen (the proper branded stuff) at night because it’s thick, and off brand thinner version from bargain shop after day skin routine before make up. It works.
I use the lip balm randomly on my nose ( the paw paw one ) I have tried everything from foundations to serums, primers and moisturiser and no matter what as soon as I put foundation on my nose it goes dry and flakes. I noticed the paw paw one was face and lips so tried it and now use it every time. Also love smell of petrol and diesel too !

The shadow is so cute! I learned a sort of hack from my friend many years ago on how to do your makeup in a rush- use a soft blush or bronzer brush for all powders and use one neutral shadow palette for contour, highlight, and eyeshadow. Literally can just stamp the colour on your eyes and brush it across your face in less than a few minutes and somehow look like you woke up more than 10 minutes ago 😂 obviously this is after foundation, but I always just use my fingers for foundation so its fast anyway. Slick on some eyeliner if you have time and a bit of mascara, maybe some lippie, and you're good to go. We used to do it on the train on the way to work when we were late 😂 also yes petrol smells good lmao my favourite scent is patchouli, but I love things like coffee, cinnamon, sandalwood, moss, sort of foresty autumnal smells :)
My pores don't bother me as much as they used to so I don't use pore filling primers anymore and can't recommend a specific one that is currently available - I used to use the loreal studio secrets primer that came in the small glass jar. To combat the fact foundation can slip around on top of silicone primer and that adding foundation can sometimes disturb the filling effect of the primer, I wore the primer over the foundation. If I was to do it now I'd probably use a gripping primer then foundation and concealer then tap a tiny amount of a clear silicone primer over areas I want to blur before powering. You only need the smallest amount - much less than if you use it as a primer! I'd also take it with me for touch ups xx
I mix face oil (argan & primerose) with my foundation to get a healthy dewy look Benefits: less creasing, looks more like natural skin and not foundation and I found that for my oily complexion extra oil cancels it out, and my face by the end of the day doesn’t look as oily as it used to

The stripes on your eyes is an old method. It's great for packing on color. I mean it is the same thing as packing on color like how we do it now just a bit "more" if you know what I mean. Try bouncing the brush more than swiping back and forth.
Be careful with spraying setting spray into pans, or even dampening a brush before picking up product. I worked for Urban Decay for years and we had so many palettes ruined by people getting setting spray in the pans. Even the oils from your finger tips can leave that film on top that makes shadows go hard.
Hey, how is this for a make up hack? It's actually two in one. I use a liquid lipstick for blusher and under the foundation. This isn't a new hack, but I always had and used the face products that were made for its purpose, untill one day I have bought this gorgeous colour muss lipstick which sacked at its job because it was so mussy it didn't look even on the lips. Was about to chuck it out, but then tried it on my cheeks, and OMG it's my favourite blusher now. Sometimes I go a bit heavier on the colour but put it underneath the foundation, it looks so natural. Gorgeous!

When I want really smooth foundation I follow this routine; prime my face, on a palette or hand I mix foundation with setting spray, spray face with setting spray, then apply foundation with a sponge in a thin layer. Then I mix my conclear with setting spray and work/bounce that in a lot before applying to my face. Then I just use the other clean side of my sponge and just go round my face to make sure everything is blended and smooth. Then I only powder t-zone and under eyes with translucent powder, and I use powder bronzer or blush everywhere else so it doesn’t look cakey.

Long time subscriber, did NOT get a notification. I unsubscribed, then subscribed again and hit the bell for all notifications. Hadn't realized I hadn't received a notification for a long time. Stupid YT. I'm happy to see your pretty face again! Now I'm binge watching everything I've missed past couple of months. Thanks for the heads-up! Love you Steph!🌿🌷🌿
My bell is on and this is the first notification I've seen in over a month darling

So true usually watch your videos all the time and have not seen notifications from you in awhile…
steph most or all baby powders now are talc free, made of cornstarch!! and dermatologist do actually recommend using vaseline or aquaphor (petroleum jelly) on the skin, for people with eczema or people who take acutane! i'd say stick to something like that and not lip balm!
I love petrol. Reminds me of my dad working on cars. Just love it. Love ya Steph. xo
I constantly go to your yt profile to check for new videos and I've just realized that somehow the notifications were off, like, how could them??? Anyways, turned them on and not gonna miss a video anymore yaaayyy
Added notifications so I won’t miss out on you. Always a good time on your channel
