    I appreciate this video. I have a timing cover gasket leak and I do not want to take the oil pan off. Just showed me how to get it done.

    Why did you use antiseize and not silicone in the boots 🤔

    • @MegaMilesBen
      @MegaMilesBen  5 месяцев назад

      @BLYFACTOR its not antisieze. Theyre new coils and come pregreased with dielectric grease.

    Awesome video gonna help me when I pull mine apart my oil pump went out. Do i have to replace the timing cover gasket ? I don’t really want to mess with the timing chain. And did you reuse all the bolts?

    • @MegaMilesBen
      @MegaMilesBen  2 года назад +2

      Yes, I would replace the timing cover gasket. Youll also want to put a seal of silicone on the lip of the oil pan.

    Out of curiosity did you have to gap the spark plugs ? I know the iridium ones are supposed to corn factory gapped

    • @MegaMilesBen
      @MegaMilesBen  2 года назад

      Most plugs these days come factory gapped, thats right. Some plugs cannot be gapped.
      I personally will usually check the gap to factory specs just to make sure they havent been knocked around in shipping/parts store/storage.
      According to AllData there are 2 different gap specs on this...
      LFH, LUW and LWE Gap:
      0.6-0.7mm (0.024-0.028in)
      The 1.4L should be gapped to 0.07mm (0.028in)
      All Others:
      0.8-0.9mm (0.031-0.035in)

    You are changing the timing chain. How many mile are on this engine. What is the reason for change the timing chain. When you change the timing chain. Since you have it apart do you replace the chain tensioner, both guides too. How many hours did this take. You get a great job.

    Thank you so much: anyway as an advice next time try to video the operations on the engine, not your shoulders.

    that valve cover gasket is gonna blow again if the pcv check valve is gone in the intake manifold

    • @MegaMilesBen
      @MegaMilesBen  3 года назад

      That wouldnt cause the valve cover gasket to blow? That would cause for a new valve cover. I've had to replace a few of them. Its rather normal. Makes the car run rough and has quite the hiss. This one was working fine and my client didn't want to replace it at this time.

      @@MegaMilesBen what John Nelson is talking about. In the Intake Manifold it has a red check valve inside that gets damaged. Once that happens the valve cover has a Built in valve diaphragm that gets damaged. ruclips.net/video/En4WO7DYsTk/видео.html

      Yea, I understand that. There was no problems with the intake manifold and my client didnt want to replace it.
