I love this show and I've been watching it since it came out in 2013 I believe I put off watching the last two episodes and I just watched them last night and I was very happy how it ended. very sad but happy
Not many shows can handle multiple genres in a single season without it feeling disjoint. That's the strength of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Love 'em. Miss 'em. I'm currently on rewatch.
Hm.. Castle would like to have a word with you XD I think the bigger question is, how many shows actually attempted different genres not even in a season but at any point at all? Most shows that dare to venture there probably have good enough writer to pull it off. I'd argue there are probably more counter examples than otherwise for the original statement.
My two wishes would have been they had shown us a small scene of what happened to Deke in the alternate 80's timeline and May and Coulson ending up together. Otherwise, awesome ending!
Thank you for your time and effort into bringing this information to us who have started these series and have never finished. You are the best and deserve more views.
Thanks for the recap. I saw all 7 seasons of the show. It was good while it lasted. It had comedy, action, touching moments and it just felt like a real show to me. I guess I know Coulson's whole story after he died in the 1st Avengers film.
This is a comment to appease the algorithm. 'cause we all live in the timeline where Skynet is actually just a corporate A.I programmed to game the system and keep us all in a bubble. But seriously: Thanks for being the awesome recap guy we know and love!
@@hendrikpat it was destroyed in Winter Soldier, in the main movie timeline. If the Agents of Shield returned to their home universe at the end of the show, a universe in which the Triskellion is still standing and no one thinks that is odd, the AoS are therefore from a different timeline/universe than the movies, as stated by the show itself and we can stop wondering if Coulson is alive in the movies. AoS took place in a parallel universe.
@@VirulentGunk Oh right, I forgot about that. I'd actually like it if it is in a parallel universe, and if there was a way for them to travel between universes. That'd be better than AoS not being canon at all.
Agents Of Shield ending is a banger It creates something like the plausible FURY show where daisy may return with sousa and her sister. Seems plausible but maybe a reboot of agents of shield? on disney+ seems plausible?
I just spent the last 3 months binging this entire show in 2023. Never watched it when it originally aired and I feel like I lost a bunch of friends only after knowing them for 3 months! 😥😥
I fell off back at the start of Season 4, but damn Agents of Shield has come a long way. Thanks for the recap, it would be really interesting to see these characters inter-grated into the movies somehow. 🤔
Thank you for these recaps, I started watching Agents of Shield earlier this year (or was it late last year?) & at first I kind of thought it was interesting but I felt like it was really dragging on & on, part of me wanted to know how the story went but I really didn't feel like wasting my time slogging through it all. A lot of people say comic books are the soap operas for nerds, this whole show was one huge sci Fi soap opera
Well to watch it is just the length of the episodes, so 13 episodes is basically 13 hours. But then pulling all the clips means going through it all again so basically double that, then arranging them into a coherent recap double it again, then record and finish it off in another 2 work days, so there’s the recap of my recap process!
This season 1 is a Classic of the genre like a Serenity in Marvel universe, season 2 is a good continuity, 3-4 started to wear off, 5 was refreshing, changing the style with a very different extravagent setup and the investigator style was entertaining. 6 was kinda medium but it end set the next season, but 7... Season 7 is a Masterpiece
I love this series. It is such an awesome show. It is sad it was never integrated with the MCU but in passing. I'd love to see Tony's reaction to Coulson being alive.
Speaking as a fan of the show, this season was kinda rough to watch. Daisy and Souza felt weird to me, and Nathaniel and Daisy’s sister were not great characters in my opinion. It kinda makes me wish they stopped after season 5. Except the noir and time loop episodes, I really like those💙
I just don’t understand the time travel? Didn’t end game already explain that going back in history wouldn’t change present day? Even if they altered events?
@@goofysmp they explained that in the show also in the last episode. Going to the past and changing things creates a new timeline. In the end they came back to the original timeline.
That 'awesome staff weapon from episode 2' was a homage to a weapon from another Joss Whedon created show- Firefly. In its movie- Serenity, the doc uses it to free River
Please do Crisis on infinite earths or maybe do the episodes leading up to it and then Crisis. I know the Arrowverse is not great but still good for me at least and many others.
its supposed to be canon as I consider it to be but for a while its been in a state if limbo continuity wise, so until something is officially confirmed its up to you
I love AoS but this season felt hushed. I loved a lot of the episodes, like the 80s episode with Deek and Mack and the timeloop one. But those were very light on plot also this was a shorter season. All of this contribuited to a rushed finale. And I didn't really buy the we are never going to be a team again thing. When this was presented I thought that for sure one or more of them would die, but no, thay CAN meet again.
You don’t understand how much I appreciate this comment. Every time I say I feel this way about the last season, especially the last few episodes, everyone says I’m wrong and that the finale was perfect. I also thought someone would die. There is nothing stopping them from being in the same room again. But I guess the writers wanted a happy ending.
@@cambriaalise2014 I love a happy ending, but what botters me was this condition of never seeing each other again that makes no sense. And it seems that was just added to get more drama.
Well Deke counts as one of the agents of shield so it's still technically true even if they all met up. If you're really being technical it's still true.
This show did a pretty solid job of being apart of the the MCU for 5 seasons and then just went completely off the rails in the final 2 seasons
To be fair, the movie staff told AOS staff jackshit about how Endgame was going to play out.
They kind of explain that by introducing the multiverse

It wasn't their fault, blame Kevin Feigi lol
