Great video summarizing a great book and a great documentary. Really impressive accomplishment. We are blessed to have access to so many resources (especially if we speak English lol). Joann and David do such an excellent job of modeling good scholarly dialogue. And it’s impressive to me how well they work together as a married couple; it’s a great model and example for communication as couples. It also brings back good memories I have of a New Testament class with Brother Seeley 20 years ago. His class was so approachable; he was such a great person and I always admired him. Thanks for a great video and for the great work each of you do!
Many thanks for your insights and sharing - accepting the Book of Mormon faith then learning about the historic context and ongoing discoveries is thrilling - unfortunately the camera did not show your interesting pictures !!!
The toilet seat find was a great chuckle. I enjoyed this video immensely and can’t wait to explore the links, read the book and watch Journey of Faith! Thank you so much for sharing.
This shows the value of the archaeology and geography to more fully understand the scriptures. We need it for the Book of Mormon as well instead of acting like it doesn't matter.
I found a book on the Latter Day Saints take on Christopher Columbus on your website as well so I’m really grateful that so much is available for us to study and read. Thanks!
Last week I tossed the book into my speechify app... instant audiobook, and quite a good one! (warning: The pdf was not compatible with their text recognition, so I had to first used adobe acrobat to turn all pages into images and then use their text recognition, then speechify worked great)
I agree, I have ADD no H, although I wish I was hyper. I use my iPad app for my scriptures and follow along. When I read for entertainment I read in short spurts.
After Margaret Barker’s work, I want to know more about the reforms of Josiah during Lego’s lifetime, as well as the political environment during the century leading up to Lehi’s departure.
Thank you for an amazing presentation. The information and insights were so interesting. It would have been nice if there were visual aids to accompany some parts of this discussion though ❤
I am so grateful for all of the information you have studied and share! Thank you so very much. I am curious though, and don't know where to find the answer; when Lehi's family took the records on the brass plates- were those the only records of what was on the brass plates- or was there more than one record?
Not tech savvy so I could not send the picture. I found this manual in an old bookstore I worked in in Southern California. I think I need to read it! I don't usually comment - i was very disappointed in this video. It felt like a sales pitch for the book, with scattered facts in-between. I wish they could've showed the pictures they were referring to, and spent more time on the material and less time trying to sell us on the book.
Point being - I thought this would be an informative discussion, as a podcast to listen to. Instead it was just repeatesly referring to the book and talking about how cool it is. It's nice that they're sharing the pdf and all, but I was looking forward to an inspiring video and it just fell flat for me.
The book is 20 years old and out of print. It’s only available online for viewing, I believe at one of links, and if you are truly interested, google and put the title in and Scripture Central and it may pop up. Have a great day! Smile it does a body good.
Clearly you didn't watch the entire video, because the PDF is free and they discussed many interesting details that have been uncovered that help to illustrate what Jerusalem was like in Lehi's time.
What a marvelous interview and thanks for the enlightment we received from it.

Archeology contradicts the Book of Mormon
Thank you very much to share this relevant information . I found the pdf of this book and I began reading it! ❤
I took the Old Testiment classes from Terry Ball at BYU. One of my favorite class.
We need this book audiobook format

We need this in audiobook format

People need to read the Promised Land series by David G Woolley. It makes the story come to life, and is based on historical research.
I have Hugh Nibley’s 1952 Lehi in the Dessert and The World of the Jaredites.

Can you post the link to see the color pictures, I can’t seem to find it. Thanks💥💥
Is there a link to the entire pdf? I didn’t find that on ScriptureCentral.
It should be linked in this video description
I typed in the name of the book and it came up. We cannot see the pictures you are looking at. Can you lift them higher?

The main book they’re talking about is for free and it’s linked in the description.

At first I thought that also but it really engaged me and I ended up listening to the end and feeling that I was informed.
Are you going to talk about the Gospel of Christ or just try to sell me someone's book??
They are not selling you a book. It’s free and can be downloaded with no cost.
😂, they aren’t trying to profit they are trying to get information out there.

I don't see anything she supposed to be showing
