They where taken seriously by real hip hop fans who loved original music....By the second album people got it they where undeniable and the mainstream started to come around, they really took off with aquemini and got put in top mc categories....
This ain't 1995 this 1998 and A LOT had changed in between the source awards and Aquemini, ATLiens (96) also happened. Outkast where bona fide rap superstars when this 98 interview was recorded. I'm 46 years old I know what I'm talking about.
