Watch Big Boi & Sleepy Brown - Intentions [Feat. CeeLo Green] Official Video Here: • Big Boi & Sleepy Brown...
Outkast talks with John Reed in Chicago back in October of 1998. The duo discusses the state of Hip Hop, if they are going breaking up and the state of Hip-Hop.
Andre has one of the most easy-to-recognize voices in all of hip-hop. It's like his voice comes right through your speakers
easy e and snoop too
DMX and PAC
Andre was so ahead of his time dude had so much swag🐐😂
They both drippin
WHY DOES THIS NOT HAVE MORE VIEWS AND COMMENTS??!?!?! This is legendary
Bolivia Life they don’t respect history
They to busy making tictok videos
I think it usually means bc not many people have watched it
I'll never forget Outkast winning their first award and the crowd booing and he basically said we worked for this and it's original and then just like that the crowd started clapping. Sure it took some rappers a lot longer to respect them but it's no different for others coming up because you have to put in your time to stand with the rest. I loved when the south took off because most of us did like the west and the east. I also love that Outkast had lyrics that was more online with our time during that time. I like their style with it having more funk and just outer space type flavor and it was more in line with us. Plus the south is always the last because of how we are always portrayed in movies as uneducated and stupid stereotypes and their lyrics showed how advanced Outkast was just by what they were rapping and singing about on their first two records.
Host need to turn his mic on.
I'll be sure to go back to 1998 and tell him
@@GoLemonade lmao... lemme know when you find that time machine too bc I miss that kinda music
Reece Schrock in 1998 technology and studio equipment wasn’t up to par 😂

LMAO. Same. My left headphone might as well be broke ‘cause I hear nothing. 😂
Switch your headphones round so your left ear feels abandoned.
If I hadn't read this I would have believed that the audio was originally not loud enough😂
Yoooo!!🤣🤣🤣
LMFAO
No one:
Not a soul:
Andre: yEEEuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Yeeeeeeeeeeuhh
Lol I'm crying 😭😆😆😆😆
Andre at 7:32 tho 😂😂😂
Love how my mans just holdin the mic knowin god damn well that shit don’t work
Hahahhaha
3:33 Crazy that even back in 1998, the host felt that hip-hop was losing its originality. In the year/ years that followed, DMX and Jay-Z blew up (technically in 1998), Eminem came out in 1999 followed by Nelly in 2000, 50 came out in 2003 with his studio album, and Kanye came out with his in 2004. Not to mention folks from the south like Luda and T.I. either.
It's all about context.we look back at it *NOW* as a whole but during the time? Imagine a kid in 2040 listening to GMKC, Damn, TPAB, 2014 FHD, 4YEO, in literally one sitting (sorry for all the acronyms, I'm assuming your a fan of recent hip hop). He would be blown away, just like how we are about their discography

The South took over hip-hop in the 2000’s, this was when Ppl thought Hip Hop was dead
@@ChrisJProductionz
Facts. . .cuase the NY, otherwise known as the "Mecca" of hip-hop and other things. . . 80's & 90's rappers said that hip-hop was dead cause they weren't the center of attention anymore.

This interview has aged so gracefully. 2023 and Andre hit us with an album consisting of flutes and instruments. lol the man so cold that’s he really doesn’t have anything else to rap about. They did it all! Im sitting here watching Idlewild and I’m like man these are two musical geniuses.
This interview makes me happy lol. my favorite group.
@SIAM SAETANG well, I am jealous
Wow 3 stacks said he didn't plan on rapping when he's an old man 21 years ago, and I remember seeing this interview a few years ago but somehow missed the part where he says that.
3000 is the Barry Sanders of Hip-Hop

the interviewer going "aight, let me ask big boi a question" every time andre finishes answering something is killing me 💀 i know it's because andre can't be the only one answering everything but it's just funny. 😂

Man, the engineer dun fucked up on this one. Host mic muted and no right channel! Great interview though
It's good to see peeps from my home town turn it out
People don’t appreciate Outkast bro 🤦🏾♂️
Tbh I don't get it either OutKast is the greatest duo ever in hip hop
People don’t understand their discography is same level as Kanye in creativity, hits, and ground breaking and trail blazing. They’re really the best hip hop group of all time and imo the best hip hop artist of all time. The chemestry and brotherhood these two brought with their positive message and style is unmatched. Kanye is all ego and outkast is all about compromise and working together with your brothers to create something special. One of the best musical groups of all time
Hold on, Be Strong!!
