@@ChanThompson-w5g No, I'm one of the head developers of a community run, fan-made Viva Piñata game, which has no ties to the original developers whatsoever. We're trying to create what we wish was an official third game!
As someone who put way too many hours into this game, here are some answers to questions and general tips I learned from the wiki: 1. The more of a piñata you have, the less amount of lives you get during the romance minigame. Having two of a piñata gives you 5 lives, three piñatas give you 4 lives, etc down to 1 life. That's why the Flutterscotch minigame only gave you one life. 2. The game considers trees to take up a LOT of space. If you are having space issues, consider selling/getting rid of a tree. You can also see what is taking up space in the journal. 3. The shovel head is meant to let you whack Dastardos with your shovel to temporarily stun him, giving you more time to deal with sick piñatas. There's also the Dastardos Scarer that you see at the end of the video, that also increases the amount of time it takes for Dastardos to enter the garden. Some piñatas can also help stall Dastardos, you can find a list of those online. 4. If you have a Candary wear a gas mask, they will go into the mine with the Diggerlings. I'm not sure if they increase Dragonache chance, but it's something to try if you're still trying to get the egg from the mine. 5. A lot of people have talked about Professor, so I'll quickly reiterate that you can pay him 500 coins as a "bribe" and he will leave your garden. There is also a Captain's Cutlass item for sale at Ivor's: having this in your garden will prevent the Professor AND all Ruffians from entering the garden. 6. I believe the visual bug is due to how Rare Replay emulates the 360 for Viva Piñata and TiP. I've found the best way to get rid of it is to completely close and reopen the game. If anyone knows any helpful tips I've missed, please post a comment! I'll also post if I think of anything else. Happy piñata hunting!
1. While this only works in the original Viva Piñata you could sell weed flowers for a profit, one time I just filled a garden with Venus piñata traps and sold the flower heads when they wilted, this won’t work for TiP but in the first game it was a good way to make some cash. 2.Ivor sells a universal fertilizer in his shop, and while it’s pricey you don’t need to go back and forth with Lottie for fertilizing. Come TiP the seed bag and fertilizer bag tools negate the use of this fertilizer. 3. Trees and bushes can be fertilized three times like other plants, increasing the amount of active fruit nodes, but the timing is tricky, you need to wait for the buds of the next phase to start growing. Planting the seeds in holes will make the process of waiting a bit more tolerable. Additionally tapping them so many times kills the tree/bush, best to let the fruit fall off naturally. 4. Cocoadiles have a hidden ability of being able to fertilize plants if you tell them to go to a growing plant. 5. Tafflies have the ability to make fertilizer by being told to interact with fruits, it will make a fertilizer depending on fruit color 6. Tafflies like to be watered despite getting scared, this is fixed in TiP. 7. Chillies are one of the better for profit plants you can make. Their fertilizer is cheap and they don’t take too much space up.
@@Saaaahdoood good luck finding a PC copy of the game since it was part of Games for Windows live (Rip Universe at war) Plus Trouble in paradise is Xbox only with either the OG or rare replay
The gas mask is probably a reference to the fact that canaries were used to warn miners of deadly gas leaks because birds are more sensitive to airborne toxins than humans.
Haven't finished the whole video yet but I'll throw out a warning for those who might be interested in playing this masterpiece: there is an old bug that causes your save to corrupt at seemingly random. The game keeps NO backups of your save, so for safety you'll definitely want to manually backup your saves. It's extremely painful to have your save break after dozens of hours so it's worth the bit of effort to stop that happening imo. I think this also happens on the console version but I don't know if there's a way to prevent it there Anyway I absolutely adore Viva Pinata, it was my childhood game. So I love seeing someone else enjoying it after all these years!
i am so pleased to see that others love this game as much as i did. i just played again for the first time since i was a kid and it came out, i’ve not felt happiness and dopamine like this for a very very long time. glad to see friends who remember the good times

Hey! Sorry for the late reply, I really REALLY appreciate the words. This is definitely a video im really proud of, especially since it’s super long. Im hoping to improve with every upload…probably same ish length because I have too much to say all the time😅 but again thank you!
Filled with fun! I loved playing this game so much when I was younger and I still have my own copy and the ability to play it but man did I not miss some of the more interesting requirements for the love sessions. It gets addicting but also frustrating when they take so long to get in the garden and become residents.
When this game was first given to me, I didn’t think much of it. I thought it was a stupid looking game because all I was into were MMORPG and FPS games. So one day I gave it a try and still didn’t think much of it. Over time as I continue to play it, it slowly became one of my favorite games to this day. I just wish there was a way to get this game on PC.
omg i miss this game sm. this is the first time i have seen someone mention it in YEARS. everytime i say something about it to people they have no idea what i'm talking about lmao.
Forget? I lived for this game! I remember being in first grade literally learning to write, and using my new found skills to make a list of what i needed to do on Viva Pinata that night. Way over a decade later I still have the OST stuck in my head.
I literally cried watching this, this is one of the oldest games I played when I was a kid and it just unlocked so many memories. It makes me wish I was a kid again 💔
At 1:00:55 I think the piñatas are sad because the garden is crowded, the trees take up a lot of space and in the journal there’s a way to see the percentages of everything.
I adore, and I mean ADORE, viva pinata so much. The only thing that traumatised me as a child was beating the pinatas with the shovel, and when they're near death how they cry out in sad agony...
i've had this on in the background while doing dishes the last few days and it made me get viva pinata working on my 3ds. the nostalgia just came flooding back, as well as my whirlm overpopulation XD
I used to play the demo version of this game all the time, I had forgotten about it for years but this video brought back so many memories and so much joy. I’m definitely gonna have to play it again soon ❤
I would pre break pinatas for their soul candy and keep them in the garden to turn the outsiders to residents to avoid the hunting animation. Made it sooo much faster And hatching the dragon egg on different terrain will change the color! I kept a og yellow dirt patch to hatch it on and it was gold
i used to play viva pinata as a kid and somehow thought about wanting to play about it again, so I have been watching youtube videos about it. And only now i noticed that i kinda played the game "wrong". everyone is quick to sell their pinatas and other things to work on getting the next one. But i took sooo much time. I grew attached to the pinatas and didn't want to sell them that quickly and i think most of the time I just did "whatever". decorate the garden, grow all kinds of plants, trying to get the secret pinatas etc. But seeing it now with even more possibilites is very interesting and in order to really collect every pinata i would have had to change my playing style DRASTICALLY lol
I haven’t forgotten this or trouble in paradise. I think about it pretty much every day and wonder if anything similar will ever come to fruition but still no luck. So many nostalgia with these games it actually hurts 😢
I loved this game so much growing up played it all the time! One of the things I learned was that if the workers aren't helping much give them a bunch of cash and they will work so much better after also I believe your pinatas were sad because of how little walking space there was they were probably getting stepped on by the bigger ones which will make them incredibly sad very fast
Recently gotten back into these games, due to my severe depression, and loosing the will to game due to so many broken times I feel to online gaming... These games got me through my teen years, and it feels good.
13:52 what you just described is agency work. It's not that confusing 😅 Arfur is an agent that contracts out garden workers, it's a real type of employment 👍
I played this game so much it was crazy. I sold almost my whole garden for a Dragonache and he ended up DISAPPERING. I literally didn’t play after that and then I came back and randomly I found him again. I want to play this again so badly.
I love that every good version of the sours have an extra ability they can do to help. The cocadile can fertilise your plants the crowla can scare one of the invaders same with the mallowolf which I think chases Pester out the garden etc.
Im getting old when very popular cult games are now "forgotten gems" Its crazy that Ive been playing videogames for as long as some people have been alive in the youtube comments
I always wanted this game, even though we were poor only got a secondhand PS2 later in childhood. Watching this has satiated that want. Looking forward to the fan made game as I have my own PC these days.
This game was my childhood, but one time I went to go get supper and left it running. When I came back, to my horror the snail thing came by and literally all of my pinatas got sick. I had ran out of money and couldn't afford medicine. I screamed in terror pinata incarnation of death whisped from the mountains and stole the souls of the ones I loved. Although I closed the game before he could get to my bear, and just left him in limbo so he would be stuck in space and time from the inevitable fate of death
Here's 100 days in TIP!!! ruclips.net/video/4YzH-yb-oCQ/видео.html

Hey! Sorry for the late reply, I really REALLY appreciate the words. This is definitely a video im really proud of, especially since it’s super long. Im hoping to improve with every upload…probably same ish length because I have too much to say all the time😅 but again thank you!
The fact rare would rather fight with their own community with Sea of Thieves rather than make a new viva pinata is a war crime
Whenever I see this game it just brings tears to my eyes. Simple and lovely.
Good work on this video! Can't wait to see how you grow as a creator!
Filled with fun! I loved playing this game so much when I was younger and I still have my own copy and the ability to play it but man did I not miss some of the more interesting requirements for the love sessions. It gets addicting but also frustrating when they take so long to get in the garden and become residents.
Seriously great game I was obsessed with for a time during highschool. It still seems like a top quality and criminally overlooked game
Omg I miss this game! Thanks for the throwback 😂
Always awesome to see people still playing this game! an all time favorite of mine!
Your viva pinata series has been so fun to watch!! Thanks for creating these videos ❤❤
Leafos telling you that your garden is getting to full after Professor Pester eats Predro is so insensitive!
Thank you so much for the video. I was genuinely convinced that this game was a fever dream of mine.
1:01:52-Tries to catch up
Professor Pester: Bonjour
omg i miss this game sm. this is the first time i have seen someone mention it in YEARS. everytime i say something about it to people they have no idea what i'm talking about lmao.
An immediate subscriber after this fiya 🔥video bro, appreciate your efforts
omg I'm so glad people are still playing THIS!!! I LOVE THIS GAME
Used to love this game on the 360 back in the day
I found the game disk the other day and it reminded me of this so I looked it up on RUclips and found your video, good memories
seedos is a recurring background character in my dreams to this day and i havent played this game in like 16 years. he doesnt speak, hes just there
I adore, and I mean ADORE, viva pinata so much.
I love it when the RUclips algo gives me a video from a small creator. Great vid dude keep it up
I used to play the demo version of this game all the time, I had forgotten about it for years but this video brought back so many memories and so much joy. I’m definitely gonna have to play it again soon ❤
Underrated Game Series. Such a vibe; and a great way to pass time!
I just got this recommended to me and almost cried. This is such a core memory for me ❤
I absolutely love this game! I use to play it all the time when I was a kid! It was one of the first games I had on the 360. So nostalgic ❤
The holes for seeds help give whatever you planted a boost of growth! So if u want sm fast, make dat hole!
I would pre break pinatas for their soul candy and keep them in the garden to turn the outsiders to residents to avoid the hunting animation. Made it sooo much faster
And hatching the dragon egg on different terrain will change the color!
You were the only one to play the game “right”
I loved this game SO. MUCH. The little noises they make still fill up my soul~
thanks for the video man, this game is my entire childhood
I haven’t forgotten this or trouble in paradise. I think about it pretty much every day and wonder if anything similar will ever come to fruition but still no luck. So many nostalgia with these games it actually hurts 😢
So good, loved this game as a child and getting that dragon
The lore is so dark dude!! ❤❤ I love that somebody talked about it!
Literally a hidden gem, loved this game so much
13:52 what you just described is agency work.
"Oh dear. That's a cute creature being beaten to death in a gory display."
"Oh wait, this is a kid's game."
I love that every good version of the sours have an extra ability they can do to help. The cocadile can fertilise your plants the crowla can scare one of the invaders same with the mallowolf which I think chases Pester out the garden etc.
Man 😂 he still doesn’t know that water makes piñata’s happy and makes them stop fighting
It's not forgotten, just underrepresented!
For real though, it hurts that Rare has not bothered to port the Viva Piñata games over to PC..
the first one has a pc port for sure !!
They’re on rare replay which is on pc and Xbox iirc
FINALLY someone with culture. viva pinata is such a GOOD game.
My sister and I used to spend so much time trying to get a 4 headed snake.
i miss playing viva pinata party animals. this unlocked a old memory, thank you
Im getting old when very popular cult games are now "forgotten gems" Its crazy that Ive been playing videogames for as long as some people have been alive in the youtube comments
omg finally my for you page showed me games from my childhood. I love this game so much
I always wanted this game, even though we were poor only got a secondhand PS2 later in childhood.
I want this game this game to be loved more. It’s so incredible.
Need a new version with more piñatas
Good video,
this game is so calm and nice to play, i really liked this series of video games, TiP and Party animals were also very fun
Thank you! Yeah it’s honestly one of my favorite games ever. I can replay it so many times
i used to play this all the time when i was younger i loved the moths guys they were always my favourite!
