I really miss being in a world where we didn't take ourselves so seriously and we could still laugh at one another, with one another. Some people believe that humans have humanity because we are the species that laughs at death. We laugh at each other. We don't really do that anymore.
This scene is arguably one of the best in this classic! I remember my sister and i watching this movie CONSTANTLY even though we were pretty young.and a few scenes were a bit much for a kid...but we didnt care! The 80s produced some of the BEST movies and music and i was blessed being an 80s child as times were so much simplier then!
@@tomsnowden6201 Well yeah, but how often do actors not even bother and just mime on an instrument? Or at least, how often did they not even bother and just mime back then?

@tzeffsmainchannel probably morphed into different groups , now you have emos , Edgar's, introverts, loners, Shy , And obviously, Nerds . All are smart in their own way but distance themselves from interacting with others. I know I grew up in the 80s but was considered smart, but too dam shy . Could speak to others normally and couldn't even tell a girl how I felt about her . Now that I am a parent, when I see similar behavior, I let my kids know what I lived to regret and how I should have done things differently!
"We got Booger Presley on a mean guitar" "And a rap by little ol' me Lemar" I got the EXACT same model guitar for my 13th birthday. It's an Antares silver burst star guitar. My first guitar and i still have it. My birthday is in 5 days so that will be exactly 40 years since my mom bought that guitar for me. I started playing on that guitar and will be celebrating 40 years of guitar playing with my Booger Presley guitar in my hands. Yup i call it BOOGER!
I remember seeing this movie as a fucking noodle armed scrawny and gawky kiddo.... honestly one of the 1st times I felt comfy in my own skin. Knowing that there existed other smeg-heads like me. Weird bloody movies, but Still love them.

I like how they actually plugged in the CR-8000 and TRS-80, but then everything just makes random synth sounds when they press random buttons. It's still much less ridiculous than Thomas Dolby pretending a TR-606 is a keyboard at the 1985 Grammys.

Poindexter absolutely murders it on the electric violin. He steals the show here I think.
Fake ass instrument. Cringe movie
The 80’s had us on a higher vibration 🤙🏾💯
We just had more spirit back then 🙏🏾
Ever music genre back then did more with less 💯💯✊🏿✊🏻✊✊🏽

Favorite childhood moments lol
Timothy Busfield and David Wohl are absolutely lovely togheter as Poindexter and Dean Ulich in this same film.🤩😍🥰❤️🔥
Pretty sure the actor playing Booger really knows how to play those riffs. Not so sure about the solo, but he looks very convincing during the rest.
Put some respect on Booger Presley’s name lol j/k
It’s just some power chords, could learn that in an afternoon

I saw this movie when it came out in the theaters, a million years ago. I’ve never forgotten it! Ahead of it time.
Lucky dude! I would love to seen Revenge of the Nerds in the Theater! I was 12 years to young then at least to my parents!

I remember this scene so vividly. The R.O.T.N. rap talent show was the best scene in this film. So I had to RUclips it. The eighties was a fun time.
40 years later is still fresh

Laurie Anderson, Elvis, Devo, and an obscure 80's rapper!!!! Forgot the Village People!!!!
The band needs to reunite for a show.
Top 10 scenes from 80’s films easily.

They're actually the popular cool in today's standards! Even as a kid watching them I thought they were awesome!
Nobody cooler than Poindexter
Excellent movies that came out in 1984. Old memories.
They actually look cool here
I literally searched this... Cause Booger Presley.... And The SICK Electric Violin 😏😂
I’d also like to be on record as noting Lamar’s consistency in both performances…
The best quality of this post. Thanks for posting it.

Wish I could figure out what guitar chords booger was playing...those were hot!
I was 10 in the Summer of 1984 when I went to see this. Still one of my all-time fav 80's movies :D
Gilbert ened up going to Med school in Chicago. A few years later he ended up working at hospital in Chicago. He later died of brain tumor.
How could you track him down? He went through the trouble of changing his name! Poor Dr. „Eric Green“.
