For being a villain Azuma is a true Wizard and honest. Stands for his words and he only seek stronger opponent that can be equal to him. No matter what it cost or takes to find that opponent. He find Erza which was the best opponent he could ever ask for. And he saved Fairy tail In the end once Erza beat him. Rn he is Tenrou Island well burried to it. Does that makes him part of fairy tail now coz he is inside their sacred ground forever?

To be honest, the first 175 episodes were probably the best animated yet. I mean, they actually had less freeze frames and more movements. For the rest of the series, the animation has been pretty dull and the characters looked too stiff. I get that the animators didn't like the character designs, but I actually liked them more than the ones now. Even though the power of friendship one shotters are getting annoying, the animation in the number of episodes I mentioned are better than the rest overall.
That's what happens when most anime fans pirate stream everything and the industry just hemorrhages money. They just go the cheapest route possible. The same happened with Overlord and Ace of Diamond; great animation in the first season but basic mediocrity after. And that's Madhouse.
Tbh there weren't that much power of friendship moments to begin with...... A lot of them have their own logic behind it but people choose to ignore them..... They only got frequent in the 3rd season from what I see
