    That is incredible, i know both the brainwave and invisible deck routines...and i can't figure out how this is done...just brilliant

    This is a new spin you made it on your own.. Right Andy.. I loved it.. And I also love ❤ the way you misdirected me that you literally blanked the whole deck and the way you are explaining it.. What a cool peformance..

    Well I really like this because, compared to the classic invisible deck where you must be careful not to flash the lower side of the deck, here in the end you do it and that's part of the effect.. A great effect!

    If you can find some more information on it: try to find out about Pat Page's Brainbuster Deck. He gave me the deck idea in 2008, as he could not get the necessary cards in the UK for years, if not decades. Another reason why I produced certain versions of my Phoenix DD, unfortunately Pat passed away weeks before I could show him the final product in 2009. And I never released my optimized version of it that only involved a single deck. Hmmm.
    As I already told Andi: unfortunately Germany magician Thomas Otto had this exact idea years ago when I released the Phoenix DD and I gave him the decks to play. He fooled me badly with it. This shows again that creative minds come up with the same ideas over time, and I congratulate Andi to this deck! See you in Blackpool 2015!

    You could actually call it the Quadruple Brainwave as there are 4 elements....red backed cards, blue backed cards, printed face cards and blank face cards.
    Very clever.

    Great effect! Now that you have revealed it to the world via RUclips, however, I think you had best be getting to work marketing it thru a major magic distributor very soon. You.have a potential huge moneymaker!

    So my explanation is that theres a blue marked deck with a white face, and then a red deck with normal faces. The "matte" coating is on the white face of the blue deck and on the red face of the normal deck. The deck is set up so that the faces of both the blue/white deck and the red deck are facing each other, with the outside being colored. That way, once you go through the deck looking for the blue marked compliment card (so you look for the blue card that matches with the 4 of spades), you do your standard push to release the red card, and while you are talking you pull it out of the deck. The way how the finish is applied allows you to spread the cards both face up and face down, and the white faces cover up the red cards. Kinda hard to explain it, but the blue cards essentially "switch partners" with the red cards, so that first the blue cards hide the red faces below them and then, once flipped over, the blue cards switch to the red card above them to hide their backs.
    The only problem in this theory is that the deck seems too thin to have two sets of cards in them. I'd assume that if my crazy theory is right, camera angles and thinner cards help alleviate the effect. Am I right?

    When half the deck is face up for revealing, that's only 26 cards. Your method while clever does not allow for choice of any 52 cards unless you have two decks. And pull the correct deck from your pocket(s).

    1. Can the deck be handed out afterwards? I've found that, not surprisingly, the stronger the effect , the more spectators want to examine the deck. 2. Can the same deck then be used for other tricks? If it's restricted to a single effect I simply can't use it, because changing decks = suspicion in a spectator. But if the answers to 1&2 are "Yes!", then you've a sale from me!

    • @KirbyEatsYu
      @KirbyEatsYu 5 лет назад +1

      you can always perform a deck swith to solve both issues, but this deck can absolutely never be handed out or handled my spectators for even a second

    • @gabeporter7427
      @gabeporter7427 4 года назад

      dave johnson no it cannot be used in other tricks, but changing a deck for other tricks would make sense, as you show that all the cards are blank
