1000 subscribers+ I dont know where you are from but I am pretty sure there are no laws in America that limits how big a fish you are allowed to catch and keep while fishing.
Grafer90 APB First off, they were fishing for food. You can tell by the size they were keeping. Second, you can't help what size fish bites. Third, you wouldn't want to eat that size of fish. It is probably full of mercury and can cause health problems. So, you release that fish to spawn and help replenish the population. Basic conservation rule.
The MID8ROAD I don't fish, so I hope that really is a basic fishery rule This is the best kind youtube content right here. Showing things that some will never get to see and doing things that most will never get to do Thanks
Being a fisherman/conservationist myself, I was very impressed with these young guys letting that monster go. They should be respected as true sportsmen, not insulted by people like Berta, who obviously doesn't get it. There are plenty of smaller fish to eat, so letting that one go is something to be proud of!
Beautiful! I'm not into fishing at all, but that was a nice video. And it even brought a bigger smile to my face when you guys let it go back into the water. You guys are awesome.

@@mediahater idk why im replying to a 6 year old comment but hey I heard them mention lake superior so I'm assuming that's where they are at and most of it is in usa lol
Great catch! Glad you let it go so it can live out the rest of its life. Hopefully it breeds and the genes it has are carried on and create bigger fish! :)
lutemule Why do big fish deserve to live more than the small ones? If anything it's better to eat the bigger ones so then you get more food for the cost of less lives.
Dude its the Loch Ness Monster... no DUDE its a brontosaurus! Dude, well done for taking a photo of the beautiful creature and letting it go! Respect to the dudes!
Thank you for letting this big beautiful fish go, at least you got a great video of your big catch. People like you guys make this world a better place to live in.
The ice is clear because that is pure water for the most part that was frozen much faster than at a normal rate. THe faster it freezes, the less of a chance of air getting suck in it which fucks it up. Also because it gets so cold up there, is froze relitivly fast which prevented crystals from forming in the ice.
This is when it gets very cold, very quickly. Usually when it's this cold, it doesn't snow much, so the water just freezes without anything getting caught in between the layers of ice. Then it gets mild and the snow covers the surface of the lake. But usually for a few weeks if you're lucky, lakes can be seen like this.
All ya haters out there, Chill. Calm the fuk down xD They were just happy to catch such an amazing part of nature. They let him/her go, and he did not suffer an agonizing experience, He went without water for a bit, and then lived on. It was a good catch and video so before you think about posting hate, read this :\
When you catch a huge fish like that, and release it back into the water, you are insuring the future of the species by letting it reproduce. Thousands of fish are going to be born of that monster trout, thereby feeding thousands of people, instead of killing an obvious superior specimen, and taking that superior genetic material out of the gene pool of trout for one measly dinner. These men have shown conscious conservation by letting that fish go, we all benefit from their decision, the fishermen who will catch this whopper's offspring, and the lake trout species as well. Amazing catch!
You may want to look into the consumption advisories for North American Lake Trout before you use the phrase “thousands of meals”. These guys are just informed sportsmen.
a lot of you people don't understand that once a fish gets to a certain size you can't Harvest it anymore because it's considered a breeder to keep the species going.
Fishing for sport (catch and release) is highly respected. Why kill/eat every fish that you catch? Some people just enjoy the sport and challenge of fishing.
Wow that was an amazing monster trout.! Awesome to see there are good sportsmanship anglers to set good examples for our youth and to all who appreciate the good ol outdoors..!
Thats so crazy! Do you guys live in Thunderbay? Thats where i do. Its super cool how you caught this monster fish in the same lake Superior that i live by! Awesome, man. Liked!
You guys rock, we are having a much warmer than average winter in Utah so most of our lakes are still open water, but when Flaming Gorge freezes enough to get on I will be there. I caught my first decent laker this summer and am hooked ever since, mine was only 30 inches and 19 pounds but so much fun! We all kept our limit of 8 pups per person and even got in a second trip before fall settled in.
