I am glad that Trivium still going strong. Though that I don’t listen to Trivium very much these days, This is one of the band that I genuinely care to be still around.
Matt is such an inspiration to me. I’m trying my best to have such a disciplined regiment in my own life, and seeing this video makes me feel so motivated and proud of one of my favourite persons on the world. You’re amazing Matt! 🤘🎸
Ever since I watched your video titled “failure” you have been a huge inspiration for me when it comes to discipline. Thanks for this motivational video
Matt is a massive inspiration to me, Trivium, Metallica and Pantera are the bands that have motivated and inspired me to pick the guitar up and keep trying to better myself, Matt's riffs are absolutely jaw droppingly bad-ass. It's mad because the things that are important to him in his daily routine are things that anyone can do if they want to, like even if you have nothing, yet we seem focus too much on what we haven't got or things we want that are out of our reach, yet here's this dude who's extremely successful and probably has the means to do whatever the F he wanted but has an insane level of discipline. I admit I would probably give in to all sorts of certain vices. It's so awesome to see it's the little things that mean a lot to him. He is such a cool human being
If you've followed trivium for a while you know Matt loves his videogames. Either way by far my favorite band right right here and it all started with Dead and Gone. Keep up the amazing work and all of the success youve had these past 3 albums is very long overdue and well deserved!
Matt you've grown soooooo much since I've started following you all in 04. Proud of you man. You're an inspiration for those of us with anxiety, depression and need to keep our body going. Keep doin you man. Proud of you
Really great video Matt. I've been implementing a routine for myself for the last 6 weeks, early rises, and taking care of my body with exercise and yoga. Taking care of my mind and setting myself up for the day before I start work, etc. It's unreal how sad and down I felt 8 weeks ago, to feeling completely at peace having discipline in my life. It's really great to see the discipline you have for yourself and it seems to be working wonders, there are a couple of great ideas in this video I will implement in my self-care routine. Thanks for sharing and inspiring 🙏
Thanks for sharing this Matt, it is really inspiring and insightful. Trivium is one of my favourite bands and you are one of my favourite musicians. Also, I will be at the Edinburgh show on Sep 2nd and I can’t wait
Matt your day routine is so inspiring! 🔥I know it myself, that not just the physical, but the spiritual growth is what makes us better every day. Thanks for sharing your day with us! ❤
Hey Matt! Im just realizing Shogun turns 15 this year. As did All Hope Is Gone. I remember in 2008 just discovering metal and Trivium and Slipknot were the first 2 bands I fell in love with. I remember getting to experience for the first time the thrill and excitement that comes from a band you love releasing a record. I actually recall buying both of those albums on iTunes as soon as they came out. Shortly after Slipknot announced the All Hope is Gone tour. I begged my family to let me go. They obliged lol. First ever concert at 14 years old. I remember after your set (you guys are the first band I EVER saw live) I was so blown away, I turned to my friend and said “I wanna learn to play guitar now” and all these years later I still play. And this video inspired me. You’re the man, Matt!
got into you guys in 2005 after hearing Ascendancy and loved it. have live in Orlando since 1998 when I went to UCF. Seen you so many times live, so happy to see you guys get bigger and bigger.
Your voice is like ASMR! This has inspired me to move and get in touch with nature more. Saw you in Stoke last week and you were incredible. Bless up x 🙌🏼👏🏼
This was cool to watch. This really gives me a lot of motivation with not just practicing vocals, guitar, and drums, but in life in general. Trivium is also my all time favortie band! This is what I needed. Great vid Matt!
You are my inspiration Matt! I will definitely start to incorporate your methods and routines into my daily life. I also like to excersize and need to get blood flowing. Thanks again for sharing this!

I discovered Trivium in 2008 and I'm a big fan since then. You and Corey are the reason I play guitar almost everyday. I lost count of how many tracks I play on a daily routine in hope that one day I'll be able to meet the band and play a song with you guys. Your videos always inspired me to incorporate discipline on my working/family/music schedule, to balance everything is an achievement! 🤘😁

Thank you for sharing Matthew. When I'm about to play live with my dudes, one of the biggest things for myself is food. Don't eat heavy food 30 seconds before you hit the stage if you are doing vocals, so I have to eat a small meal 1-3 hours before instead
This is super unexpected, didnt know you do so much to take care of your mental before tour! Been listening to Trivium since 2021 and still love you guys!

I just want to say thank you. You have been a major inspiration for me because past couple of years I’m a bit struggling to be happy because it’s tough to live sometimes. On wiki it said you lived a straight edge lifestyle away from bad habits, I can sense a monky healthy living in these vid it gave most of guys a spark to find truth in life thank you for everything. I love your music too
Foam rolling legs can be quite painful sometimes, quads especially! I completely agree about having good blood circulation, mind becomes so much brighter and more energy throughout the day.
I suffered with tendinitis, in both hands. The connection that helped me get over it was working out. Physical exercise has immense benefits to guitar playing. Musicians are starting to practice better physical health and mental health all together
Hey Matt! Its been quite a while, 18 years ago. You guys were touring on Ascendancy and came to Huntington WV to a little club, I think it was called The Monkey Bar at the time. You and Travis were shooting pool with me and a friend at the pool tables before the show and then signed my copy of Ascendancy and gave me a pick or 2. Cool memory. Appreciate the music, man!
That was cool to watch, I like watching the training aspect.. that hammer thing looks interesting. Never seen one before...I want to start up jujitsu but im worried about my shoulder. It was good to hear that you've had some injuries to overcome. It shows me that i could still do it i guess. Thanks Matt 👍
What I learned from this video. 1. Having a routine can be beneficial, and help you maintain consistency in your day to day life. 2. Nature is calming, and healing. Submerge yourself in it if you have the opportunity. 3. Be in tune with your body, and understand what your body needs to perform optimally. This also means being mindful of injuries, and proceed accordingly. 4. The importance of having people in your life that you love to spend time with. Awesome video, Mr. Heafy. I hope to see Trivium when you guys come back to Michigan.
What are you going to start trying to incorporate into your day that I do? Lmk!

I hope that you are able to acquire a few drums and can begin incorporating them into your music! If you ever want to learn basic techniques/form or more about the history of the drum, give me a shout! I'd be more than happy to share!
Best of luck in all you do, and keep up the amazing work!

Hey matt if you are reading these comments I just wanted to shout out your Chaos Hour show on liquid metal. Makes me feel like im sitting down with a metal loving friend and digging through a vinyl collection. Great vibes, keep up the good work!
This is a great video! Especially seeing what you do while on Tour. Ive starting touring often and can struggle finding good routines! So this helps a lot
This was awesome! More of this content please
Watching this tells me, to get my life back in order, I need to start something like this
going through radiation due to my skin cancer. 62 y.o. Retired Marine ( I know your dad was a Marine as well). There may be something to Marines and skin cancer although the VA totally disagrees. Anyway dropping a line to let you know that my Sons bought me your MKH LP and I love it. Take care and continued success.
give me a good motivation here Matty, I'm same age as you and watching you doing so great, black belt bjj and being active and stream, it's so good you give this motivation to your fans and being good role model, I wonder how do you manage all this, it's very very hard.
I promise I will workout more from now on and will improve my bum life.
see you at the gigs...
Love this type of videos, u are amazing
Thanks for this Matt!! Love this!… see you soon 🤘🏼🤘🏼
thanks for sharing matt, very interestingto see how the singer of my favorite band does things on a regular.
I honestly don't remember a band singer recording their day, I thought it was very thoughtful, Thanks for sharing with us Matthew ❤
thank you for sharing, Matt 💜 I'd love to have your discipline and dedication... maybe one of these days 😊
My fav part was definitely the Lay Time !!! Nothing beats it !!! haha wooooo !!!!
I love your music too
This is really inspiring, I need to be more outside and spend time in nature. Thanks for sharing this
Great video, you are a inspiration for me man, thanks!
And what is the sound playing in background?
Love it thanks for sharing.

Love this. Where was it filmed?
One of the most disciplined metal musicians in the world. This dude has it locked down!
Thank you matt and everyone from Trivium for being inspirational to me
