I had a chopped beezer (BSA Thunderbolt) back in the early 70's and had loads of fun on it, so yours brings back a lot of great memories. Be careful out there guys and gals! Seeya
Always annoying when the classic crowd turns there noses up at customs but fawn over cafe racers. This bike looks just like one I took turns riding across the country back in the 80s 👍
Had a ‘59 , wish I never sold it. I have a ‘71 I built out of miscellaneous basket cases, I’ll have to get it out in spring. I’m an old Hd man, no new stuff but you have to have a soft spot in your heart for the British stuff.
Maybe someone can confirm. That the 650 tiger head could be reversed so the inlet valves face forward, and the exhaust to the rear, snd adjust the timing 180 degrees. I think from memory it had to be a ten bolt head.
Back in 72 Chris Boyle (Wizard of Rods) had a bike shop in Wimbledon. His business partner was Guy Carter and he ran a reversed head on his chop. There is a picture somewhere on the net but I cant find it. The bike was featured in a 72/73 BIKE magazine article.
You did good brother. Beautiful bike old school.
Lovely Trumpet!!!😊

This Yankee was truly addicted to Thumpers in my youth! Wish I still had the last one!
You've got to love those old hardtail choppers
Nice bike! Just how a British chopper should look.

Yes the heads can be reversed the cam shafts have to be swapped round in thr crank case then timed up
@heroncycles Cheers I had only heard of it being done. Nit actually seen it. 👍🇦🇺🦘
Love the bike but those headers look a bit wide. Should keep the peeps down at the local Burns Unit busy 😷
Yeah they are I suggest changing them but the owner wanted it as it was before sadly
A leg burner ....no thanks ...!
