If you have a magazine you can store the fireworks you buy. Without one any left over fireworks from a show have to be returned to the place you bought them. Means purchase, do show, take fireworks back late at night. This job box idea is definitely clutch.
You have 24 hours to use the product. Any leftover must be returned to the magazine. If you are contingency, that means returning it to where you bought it. If you have your own magazine, you just store it there and log it in.
If he were to add an additional magazine for more storage would he have to go through the same process and pay an additional fee every year for the separate magazine?
I'm just curious, is there a limit to how many of these small magazines you can have in a location? For example, say I needed to store 60 Lbs worth of material. 50 in one and 10 in another. Would this be allowed or would the second magazine need to be in a separate building/ location? If it is allowed, it would seem like good practice to have an extra just in case you ended up with slightly more than 50 Lbs.
Yes you can have more than one 50 lb magazine. However, they may need to be in separate buildings and a certain distance from each other. I believe if they are one next to the other it counts as one.
Indoor magazine are ONLY 50lbs, If you have 5 of them in the same building the can ONLY hold 50lbs TOTAL for all of them.. You want to do 60lbs you would need a outdoor magazine, way more requirements.
Phantom is waaaaaaay overpriced. I used to live in Buffalo. The police know people cross over to buy fireworks and bring them back to NY especially during and around July 4th. Your better off planning ahead and if you must go to Phantom take 5 & 20 back to Buffalo after you shop. Keystone in Bradford PA is better. Their prices are better as well. It’s actually closer than Phantom by 10 minutes. It’s right near Allegany state park. Better yet to avoid police go get a license. NY doesn’t have any programs, at least I’ve none I’ve ever seen but PA has quite a few. Dave from this channel is always advertising classes. Worth every penny and once you get everything you’ll not only get access to better fireworks but you’ll also get way better prices. 👍
Your setup is just for purchasing and not manufacturing more than 50lbs.. correct? Or else T.o.D. guidelines for surrounding structures would probably be an issue for occupied dwellings?
The measurements on this box 48 inches long 28 inches high and 24 inches deep pretty good size on the inside you could easily fit 2 full cases and have about almost a foot at the end laying flat
Dave, I recently purchased your ATF package, and loved to see this video. This is a great magazine idea. Any guidance on what department to start with with the local township/state inspections? I have a feeling that if i just call the local government building i may be bounced around for several hours...
Does anyone have any ideas for a home-built type 2 magazines? That 1/4” steel kinda breaks the bank. So I’m looking for pointers. And BTW, wa state is exact opposite of what you said about your state. I’d be glad to talk to you about it sometime. As I JUST got my manufacture license here in WA state.
I’m just wondering if you paid for a linex or rhino lining if that would work as a non-sparking lining. I didn’t see any requirement on thickness for indoor type 2.
at combat pyro. I considered that, but depending on what ATF inspector you get, is whether they think that is good enough or not is the question. I found that the ORIGINAL lining on these boxes is powdercoated, which would be non sparking, but it says wood is good in the orange book so if you don't try to change what is written it goes a lot easier, and the wood is much easier than rhino lining, 10 minutes literally to glue it in and good to go..
I thought a magazine was just another name for a huge metal container like the ones you see by hundreds on loading docks. You cant fit much inside that thing. It's like half a dumpster. I want a huge container with metal doors and several locks 8ft x 15ft x 8ft.
starlight no thickness just wood, or paneling is fine, atf just requires non sparking, ObamamustBstopped, this is also good for manufacturing product also, it is a magazine doesn't matter what is in it..
CJ yes it is. I am also surprised they made it to the final with all the injuries. only thing that scares me with Nashville is they peaked at the right time and they are on fire and the pens just finished playing two seven game series In a row. all in all though the pens have the talent and coaching to derail Nashville.
nice to know you can use a job box!
The only magazines i had were Hustler and Playboy.
How can I obtain your video on getting the license?
Pyro is such a cool hobby and or Profession !!
35 seconds before the video ends he says " at 11:00 at night having to take something back, this is priceless" what does that mean?

What's the weight limit of an outdoor magazine?
look it up on ATFs website , it varies
@@AlChemicalLife it just says no more than 300,000lb
