I'm 46 actually in my 3 rd stroke just seeing light after so glad to see I'm not alone I hope I'm not an example of misery loves company
My stroke was one year ago. Videos like this have helped me get more results than the therapy I was given. The idea with the card board is spot on and so helpful. I'm the type of person who works off the concept of "why", I do so much better when I know why Im doing it that way.
I know that a lot of people ask so many questions about various things, but you guys need to know that you are helping millions of people. We love you guys, TRULY!
Act fast on any stroke!

Thank you so much Bob and Brad.... Your videos on stroke have really helped me a lot....May God truly bless you both....Lots of Love and best wishes ....to both of you from all the way from India 🙏
Bob and brad, regarding taping the hand to a cup: I put on a rubber glove from my kitchen, gripped the cup and used tape to tape the glove loosely on the cup. I cut the glove short so that it was easy to slip on and off the hand. Easy to use over and over. My affected hand was the non dominant hand. I have a problem with spasticity, so this really helped me work on those stuck muscles.
Thank you so so much Famous Bob & Brad. My brother just had a stroke and your videos will help him out tremendously since he doesn't have insurance.
Very very helpful!! I need this!! AMAZING!!I'm gonna do these every day!!LOVE it!!
So much positive information! You two ARE THE BEST! Thank you SO MUCH!! 🏆🏆🏆🏆
You, guys, are awesome!!! I am a Conductive Education practitioner. I can acknowledge and highly appreciate your contribution to the world society. I am quite certain that you help thousands of people. The only thing I want to mention (hopefully anybody can read that) quite a few conceptions mentioned by you, guy had been already well-known to the people behind the Iron Curtain a long while ago (you know... such as neuro-plasticity, advantage of the Can do attitude over the compensation..importance of feel of success.. that stuff). This is one of the evidences when a human brain can not be boxed up and demonstrates way more potential than it seems to have, contrary to the new era behavioral approach when the human behavior is presented on a basis of cause and effect, exactly like the mice that they run their experiments on.
i suffered a stroke in jan 21 2018,i,m walking now but still have little hand movement also taking pt and oc but i'm going to try your exercises thanks, this motivates me
Great video by the way, helped me a lot as a student!
I love this. I am working with a guy three days a week. I’m going to try these helpful hints. Thanks sooo much.
The tone and Spasticity has improved, but the weakness in my left hand will still NOT allow me to release a tennis ball to serve, let alone my blistering hot licks of "STAIRWAYS TO HEAVEN'...IS THE RAPHAEL YOUR PRODUCT, WHICH IF SO, CAN YOU WEIGH IN ON THE "SAEBO" LINE OF ANYTHING THAT COULD be HELPFUL, AND I CERTAINLY WOULD UNDERSTAND, BUT THE TWO OF YOU, HAVE GIVEN ME a grounded (sorry for the caps key-my right index finger has become a Tyrant...‼️ ) & ultimately POSSIBLE gift, of the return of my life...Having just found you both I look forward to the future- Thank You, Gentlemen, for your gifts...!
YES vision and neglect, than k you for mentioning that, so many don't understand that.
im 21 had a stroke 7years ago. i haven't been religious with my therapy but im eager to try harder now because it's taking a toll on my social and intellectual association. this is a great place to start. Thank you
Nancy Kasitigu I’m 17 and almost exactly a year ago. I had full right side paralysis at the beginning. May I ask, how far have you come in recovery?
I'm 19 and I had a stroke still recovering

This is great video.it is helping me with my psw demo. thanks.
I love the fact that you are using materials that can be found at home rather than spending lots of money we don't have to buy equipment to use.
Thanks so much for your teachings
I shared your video to my acquaintance. Hopefully he will listen to this :)
Hi Sir, Thank you for showing us the vidoeo this would help my patient. I learned from your videos. thank you again!
Thank YOU!! Great video!!
THANK YOU FOR THIS- my occupational therapists seem clueless and all that I have gained is from you!
Beautiful video thank you so much !
thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!
Thank you for sharing this usefull exercise tips
Brand new DPT here. Wanted to just hop in and say that my first impression of you two were that you were a bunch of old geezer PTs that taught too simple exercises that anybody could find in a protocol book. Then I realize that the PTs nowadays try to be to hip and use all these special techniques and movement screens etc... Sometimes I just need to look up a few simple things for patients, and have an actual hard to thinking about them without it seeming boring. You guys provide that resource for me, and I thank you, sometimes just gotta go back to the basics.
Thank you so so much! It was very helpful.
Wow just listening to you being positive is great therapy regards mickT
Justbtom add as a post stroke survivor just doing these exercises induces Nero fatigue
Wonderful ideas! Thank you!
Bless you guys...my shoulder is quite stiff & pàinful now 1 year post stroke...
Limited movement..will try this.
I had brain surgery in January 2015 to remove as much tumor as they could- my left arm is still very much out of action, there is movement on the shoulder, can raise my arm but the hand is tight all the time so i'm one handed since 2015.. told it might never come back... this video is great for me . thank you both.
Hey bro keep up the good work!
Thank you very much
Thank you!

These are good exes. Thanks.
Good ideas. Thank you!
You guys are heroes
I just had stroke. Thank you guys so much. I just opened my fork and knife cellophane wrapper
.only left side affectedi
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge so generously. One question... how to isolate the movement so that the person is using the shoulder as opposed to just rocking back and forth from the hips. I'm referring to the first few arm exercises demonstrated with the cardboard sling , peanut butter jar, ball with plastic cup movements.
I'll ask my husband to make these devices for me. My arm still hurts and still cannot do my chores comfortably. I have no access to a PT. this channel is very helpful to those who are in the same shoes as I am. God bless you both.
you guys r doing God's work putting this out for ppl having no INS or $$ for therapy
Thank you! Always trying to help people :)

Thank you so much for making this video. I just watched it with my father who suffered from a stroke in April and we find it extremely helpful. If you can and have some time, can you suggest other videos that a patient can follow after a stroke for arm and leg recovery excercises ?
Yes I had a stroke last yr and my left leg an arm still don't work properly
Check some of the other comments where they replied with their stroke playlist. Best wishes to you and your father
you guys rock.
Thank you for great exercise that`s you guys show. The question is what is the name of the equipment with the pump. Please lets me know
My biggest problem: when I do the back and forth with my arm-- only my elbow moves. The shoulder is still frozen.
Wow! Thanks! I had my stroke in 1982, and I still have no movement on my right arm/hand (a little bit in my shoulder). I will definitely try this. 🙂
Good luck with this. It may take some time to set up and work with but be patient and you will have good progress. :)
Bright ideas
Thank u so much. I am waiting for outpatient OT, long waiting list. I feel helpless. Your videos can help me to do exercises myself. I cant afford hiring private OT
Hi B&B like all ur videos. U both help me with a lot ofny home exercises list. Just to add one more idea I'm using for active exercise. I'm pushing my cabin luggage that has360• wheel on it from one room to another.
Had non aschemetic stroke 2016 my left had is still frozen clammed fist or clawed fist not sure which is correct wording for it. Do you have exercises or something to help with this problem my right hand is fairly normal sometimes feels weak since I'm right handed also. Great job with video
What was so hard for me was getting controlled movements. My hand and arm COULD move, the problem was it moved at it's own volition, and I dropped and broke a lot of dishes, etc, because the hand would just open on it's own, or the arm would fling out unexpectedly. I've done most of my own physical therapy using therapists on youtube, like you all. Keep up the good work.
My arm has just woken up 5 months after a stroke I’ll definitely be doing these exercises thank you
It's been 28 months since my strokes and I am tired of this constant shoulder pain
@@demondperry1621 three months of shoulder pain oh my God how did you enjoy that and you can't pinpoint to the pain can you extend your shoulder but you didn't you can't pinpoint the exact spot right
@@jimhagelgans9958 I don't remember what I wrote but it been since March of 2018 since stroke #7 and December of 2017 was the stroke that started the left shoulder/arm weakness and the pain in my shoulder
What did you do
Handrobot is a good device for stroke exercise at home, my grandmother had hand dysfunction but recovery well now.
only 600$ per unit.
thank u
hello, thank you very much.
According to my understanding, the entire injured body is one unit. There is no separation. My method is circular movements thousands of times until the tension of the head, neck, arms, legs, and back is released, all circular movements thousands of times.
Thanks for this! Do you have a video on standing balance?
Yes yes I need standing balance I have a serious fear of failing
Awesome videos guys im a 45 year old stroke victim since 2011 with left side deficet. Im pretty mobile now but wish id have discovered your channel years ago, as i am just now getting more serious with focusing on my left side arm strength....better late than never right?

You guys are so handsome. My father had a stroke 5 years ago on February 26th, 2013. I was 16 years old and my little brothers were 13, 11, 10, 8, almost 7, and 4. On February 26th, 2013, I was walking home from school carrying a container of chocolate frosted chocolate cupcakes with chocolate sprinkles and a chocolate bar and some iced tea and some milk since Daddy loves that stuff. When I got home, I saw Daddy's youngest sister, my aunt Becky. I asked her what she was doing at the house and she said, "Daddy had a stroke." I got very scared and started crying my eyes out, so my aunt comforted me. My little brother Isaiah, who was almost 7 years old at the time, was so upset because Daddy had a stroke right before his birthday. He was crying because he wanted to celebrate his birthday with Daddy. Now I am 21 years old and my little brothers are 18, 16, 15, 13, 12, and 9. When Daddy had a stroke, we all prayed for him. I just wish that Daddy could walk and talk and speak in complete sentences again.
Hannah Duggan good daughter you're looking in the right place. Annnd you can do it. You and soon to be better daddy start here. The ninja dressed handsome guy on yt.

He is very lucky he has people that care about him. My isolation and loneliness has been horrible. I had my stroke in 2013 as well.
He will be ok again if his hand needs healing give his hand a gentle soothing massage just hold his hand in yours and gently stroke back and forth do about ten times then very slowly move each finger and rub gently about ten times t
Just continue doing those exercises. they will help the healing process this will be perfect time to talk to him even if he cant speak it does help alot you guys will be fine. sounds like you have have it together keep the positive attitudes and love each other prayers work for me to heal faster always check with doctor first before try ing new exercises blessings
thks
I had a cva in 2011 very recently I felt the tone in my shoulder go away.. it was sore for a few days but ever since I have gained a ton of movement..
