Rest in peace Stefán Karl Stefansson. Part of my childhood died the other day. And I understand why he refused the chemo. He was suffering in a losing battle and he wanted that time with his family instead of in a hospital chair. I imagine he wanted an end to the pain. "it's okay. I understand."
It’s the realest and rawest thing someone can ever tell you. That it’s okay…that’s sacrifice, that’s understanding someone else’s pain without the need to put yours or society’s wishes first!
