Got to agree with some other's comments. A monthly subscription is complete BS. I would rather pay more money upfront and not have to worry about a damn subscription for SAFETY equipment. Very disappointing to see a company digging their claws into consumers this way, I will never purchase from this company.

Oh shit my subscription ran out.... yesterday while i'm at a trackday. OPPS I crashed.... got fucked up! Cute new tech but I'll keep using an old tether pull style with co2 carts to refill it!
I can understand your reluctance, but luckily the system doesn't work quite like that. If your subscription is going to run out, then their system will warn you in good time. Electronic motorcycle airbags are going to be seen on the road a lot more in the (near) future, which is a good advancement. Let's just hope we don't need them! Ride safe, man.
It is indeed mandatory. If it works out more expensive or not is fully dependant on how often you would use the airbag, as you can pause the subscription.
Was going to buy one of these RST jackets but when reading the In&Motion PDF manual they state that they cannot guarantee the airbag will deploy when there is no/poor GPS signal. If a manufacturer states that then what is the point in buying one of these jacket from RST. At least the Helite tether will inflate the jacket without the need for subscriptions and GPS disclaimers.
I just dont like all the space it leaves around your neck. Compared to Helite Turtle 2 - that one will basically block your head and won't allow your neck to be broken. But these RSTs.. seems like the helmet motion is not limited at all. That's a shame.
Not really! The reason the airbag fits so well in all cases is due to the stretch panels, and for the reason they have not left extra space in the fit.
