Nice fridges. Takes the guess work out of putting one together myself. Dont have to pay for dry ice, messing around with soggy food, draining ice, Strategically having to place food in certain spots so doesn't freeze with dry ice. Definitely something for us to look into.
I have a CFX28 that I have ran for over 5 years 24/7 off solar (100 watt panel) on my daily driver. I will never go without a fridge in a vehicle again. I love this fridge.
Thanks for the Dometic coverage, what an awesome fridge. I have been going back and fort between Dometic CFX75SE ~ ARB 63qt Element for a month now, damn.
I'm diggin the dometic 4runner...nice. The blacked out products were cool. I'm a fan of Dometic, they are pricey but buy once cry once and know you have a solid fridge/freezer. I may need to look into their coolers cuz I'm not ready for a fridge yet. Thanks again bro for the excellent coverage of SEMA.
That dude was supercool. He gave me a 40% special coupon on Friday. That very same day I bought the dual zona You showed on the video for less than $700
Those Dometic stand alone coolers can be a great "boost assist" option by freezing a couple of ice packs in the CFX and throwing them in there as an alternative to keep even more things cool.
Dam it went a used Appliance store picked up a very small 120v refrigerator, a 12v inverter, hooked to a battery plugged in the refrigerator WOW really
I ran my kings 60ltr fridge for 52 hours off of the 40 and still had 15% battery left. They are great. The simply recharged it. The fridge was empty too I must tell you.
I really don't care what it has it's too expensive for the little use it will get during the year. The sealed lead acid battery will work good enough. 38 amp hour. I have two ready for use. My brother in law might be interested in that battery power pack. He has lots of money to spare. And he does a lot of camping. It would be a good investment for his camping hobby.
This is what makes buying products so frustrating. The Industry moves so fast, you will always find some "Better".. I have a Whynter unit and love it. These things are so useful.. My next one will be Dometic.
I moaned and gripped way back in 2011 over the purchase price of my ARB 50 litre fridge. It's still running to this day.. But if it ever dies. That dual zone fridge you showed is way cool for me. I have been done with ice for a very long time now and just not going back. Upfront it seems like a lot of money until you buy ice for years and years and more years.
When will the big black frig next to the battery pack be available and the price, I have a hummer h2 and am planning a cross country trip, and would love that blacked out frig, and I haven't looked at the link b4 I posted this, but I'm also interested in the drawers and frig rack in the truck if you don't mind, but anyway cool products👍
40AH Lithium portable Battery -- that thing is going to be epic.. 38 usable amp hours all in one solution .. and it will last over 2000 cycles full discharge
I almost shit my pants when he said nonchalantly 850...he didnt eve break a sweat....850 on a fridge...no problem..but damn...a shitty little battery?????? Do a Renogy Kit for less than an 1/8th the price. Sad.
I think they are right there are others at a fraction of the cost. When you only would use it a few days out of the year a less costly unit is a no brainer. Like I said in another comment my brother in law would use this because he camps a lot even in the Winter.
i didnt know the T was silent in dometic. he doesnt prounouce a hard T in dometic. i dont oikethe idea of relying on electric pannels in a boat . but the cooler with ice couod last 7 days in the shade.
Excellent question. Why is the “rugged” cover black? Wh6 not make it silver or white? A lite colored cover would be FAR better if the fridge was in the sun for any reason.
For $800 I think they're kind of nuts. I think I could take that money and put together a federally decent portable solar generator. It would probably have more functions to.
YES AND NO , DO U BUY BEER OR CIGARETTES IF I DO THAN U CAN BUY THIS AND ITS LOT CHEAPER THAN BOTH OF THEM FOR SURE .. IF U ARE IN NYC A BOX OF CANCER STYX COST $10-16 EACH × 10 AND IF U BUY 4 TIMES A MONTH WELL = ABOUT $640+ RIGHT LOL 🤗 BUT DONT FOR GET THE BEERS ALSO ???
$550 Australian for a 40Ah lithium iron phosphate 12v car battery by itself - this is an all in-one, fully polished product and will last 8 Times longer than an AGM over its lifetime
I love the product guys but lets be realistic. $850 for a battery! You could just buy a generator and run a bunch of stuff off it for that price. I love the fridges even if they are overpriced, but now your asking for another $850 for "A BATTERY"!!!
I just purchased the Dometic CFX 50 just wondering what AGM 12v battery will work the best? I’m planing on using the fridge on a Nothstar 27F AGM battery with reserve capacity of 195 and capacity 20Hr (AH) 92. Will this battery work on the Dometic 50? The other option would be to go with a group 31 AGM Northstar battery but it’s a much heavier and pricey......your thoughts?
No one care about the truck. We are watching to hear refrig/freezer info. Get over your truck. $850 for a battery get a gold zero for less. oooh only 700 in black is not making me buy one. Draw and reliably.
A nice frig, but approaching a thousand dollars? Get real, i was looking to buy until i saw the price. Now looking at apicool at more reasonably half the price and less
Somewhere Down The Road I’m not a hardcore outdoorsman anymore. Occasional road trip a day or two maybe, not an extended outdoor life. For my limted risk trips, would you recommend something if not apicool?
Yeah but will you have a on board DC to DC charger, AC charger, solar charge controller, 12v outlets, and LCD display? Don't forget to count the amount of time you need to design, order and build it.
This brand is known worldwide for how efficient their compressor firdges are. I use a off grid solar system and 2 agm batteries which help power my dometic fridge. It uses 3amp per hour when on. On average its about 1 amp per hour over time. Plus the more you store in it the less it needs to be on which increases the efficiency. Bad ass fridge and would not trade mine for anything but another Dometic.
@@sonictech1000 you are correct Sir. 3.5 amps when on, zero when off or coasting, Over a day it averages 1 amp. Is that better. As its not at 3.5 amps when off...something like .5amps off thermostat

Awesome! I just got the CFX 95 dual-zone for my Truck build...after weeks of testing, I'm very happy with it!
Congratulations
I have a CFX50 in my trailer. Its a freaking game changer. After you do one camp out with a fridge, you never want to go back to a bunch of ice.
The black special edition model is wicked cool looking!
Great work BTW. Your interview skills have sharpened. Hats off to you Sir.

Thanks for this. This will be the route I'm going. No more ice!
No more ice....I agree. More room for more food and drinks.
@@mixflip do you know when those new models come out? I've been trying to get some info but can't find any. Thanks!

Nice! 40% is a killer deal.
mixflip it is. I went ahead and order the CFX90 right away. Great price!
Thanks for the videos bro. I enjoy them. Semper Fi!

That Battery pack is too expensive for my pockets. There are cheaper versions on the Market currently for a fraction of the cost.
I wonder if its pricey due to the use of lithium iron cells vs lithium ion?

Cost more or less than a Yeti? Because Yetis are too damn expensive for something I use maybe 5 times a year.
Wondering if the dometic cfx 75dz will take only one amp per hour as well... By this size and to different parts of cooling... 🤔 That would be amazing

850 dollars for that battery? This is why chinese companies always take business from western companies.
