    I am on my K18 journey. I just started taking care of mine and my daughter’s hair. I bit the bullet and bought THE most expensive hair product ever in my life and it has been working so so sooooooo well. After 3 washes, breakages and tangles were remarkably less. Like 90% less! And my daughter’s extremely tangly hair (like 30 mins brushing with a Wet Brush Pro detangler at that!) has become so manageable.
    K18 is expensive but it is worth it. After the initial 6 washes with k18, I will alternate it with the Olaplex and Redken ABC line. Amika and Pureology are hard to find in this country (except their leave-in conditioner) so will stick with Redken (cheapest of the 3 brands mentioned) so I don’t need to rob a bank just for hair 😂

      omg that's amazing!! K18 is definitely one of my must have products but I agree it can be too expensive 😭 I also alternate it with olaplex, but haven't tried the Redken one maybe I'll look into it. Thank you!! But I'm so happy it's working for you and your daughter!! Keep it up 🥰❤

    I’ve been straightening my hair since grade 6 too!! I’m turning 24 soon and now finally decided to put the flat iron down 🫣

      I have been straightening my hair since grade 6 as well! I also just turned 24 Dec 21! Then I became obsessed with dying and bleaching my hair. I have been straighter free for 4 years now, it's a struggle❤️‍🩹 but then I started bleaching and dying my hair more, but I can say I'm 6 months clean and going natural. It's a struggle and tough task but hopefully it's all worth it in the end😭 it's also hard finding products my hair and I like, I have spent soooo much money it's not even funny 🥲 but we GOT THIS!! Think POSITIVE!!

      It's just so much better in the long run and worth it to wear your hair natural. I've been straightening my hair off and on since 6th grade too and I'm excited to get my curls back. No more heat bc it's not worth it.

    Sis, I'm a Fil-Am from Hawaii, where many of my friends and neighbors growing up were Filipino. No one told me my hair was wavy or curly. They just thought it was a frizzy kulot mess, and I WAS ALSO CALLED BRUHA!! I'm in the middle of my hair journey, but I'm in a rut, so I'm trying to watch videos from other Asian creators. Thank you for the tips! Everyone who teased us about our hair growing up now wish they had natural waves. Funny, ain't it?

    Love this video. Thank you. Do you or did you ever use a co wash? Also when did you invest in the dyson diffuser. Is it worth spending the extra?

    • @CurlyWavyPatty
      @CurlyWavyPatty  2 года назад +1

      Thank you! I've used co-washes before but I rarely use them. Only when I'm washing my hair too often like more than 3x in a week (I usually only wash 1-2x a week). And my dyson was actually a birthday gift from my bf 😅 I have to say it's a really nice diffuser - the airflow is so good it only takes me 15-20mins to dry completely! but I'm not sure if I would personally spend that much. If anything I would get it if there's a sale, or also look into used/second hands! My bf got a used one for himself and works just as great! He found it on offer up, maybe look into those like the fb marketplace just make sure it's in a good condition! Hope it helps!!

    Any tips on preventing thin curls? My hair separates into tiny curls. There has to be a way to get big clumps of curls.

    • @brianawhittaker8152
      @brianawhittaker8152 Год назад

      Using gel or mousse will help it clump together. That's usually why most ppl will break their gel cast so the curls can unstick a little bit and look more natural.

      Don't be upset just nurse it back to being healthy. Your hair texture will revert back to how it was over time I would still cut any dead ends though just to be safe. But how long it takes your hair to bounce back depends on how long you heat styled it and how resilient your hair is. The timeline won't be the same for everyone so the only way to find out how long it would be and how it's gonna look is to go through with the hair journey. I think cutting the dead ends, cutting out all forms of heat, not dying it if u can help it, and writing down your start date for going natural will help. It will help alot just don't be so hard on yourself everyone experiments too much and gets damage at some point. It just takes time and care to recover from it.

    A clarifying shampoo is NOT the same as a chelating shampoo. A chelating shampoo removes mineral deposits and it will include different ingredients. It's also not as simple as sulphate vs non sulphates as some claifying or chelating shampoos may not contain sulphates! And a sulphate shampoo is not a clarifying shampoo, they are also designed for regular use! Sorry, it's not a criticism, I just wanted to point this out and it may be better for you to refer to haircare specialists on "science". Your hair looks lovely though and I agree with you on not going overboard on products. Start simple!
