I'm not sure about the squares and accessories. I'm going to try the clamps from Bosch and Milwaukee and see if they fit. The Milwaukee clamps are heavy duty.
Mark, thumbs up from me on the video. I just received my Ridgid track saw three days ago. Before I pulled the trigger, I noticed that the saw was going to cut nearly all of the rubber cut strip off. I spent nearly an hour adjusting the base location with the four adjustment screws to move the blade farther away from the track. Now after the cut, I have about .090" of rubber extending out past the aluminum track. Any idea what the optimal distance should be? Just cut some Formica with saw and it was a nice smooth and straight cut. Anyone with Ridgid batteries and flat panels to cut should put this tool at the top of their want list!
I think you were wise if doing that. If I had to guess, I'd say that cutting the rubber width in half (or maybe a little less than half) is good. I haven't heard any comments on that. I've cut the track rubber on Bosch, Kreg, and Milwaukee and it seems like they take about half off. This Ridgid one did the most, but I think I can live with it and still get perfect cuts. Enjoy the saw and thanks for the comment!😎🙌💯
Hi Mark. Nice presentation. If I were you I would take a piece of plywood that all four sides are in bad shape and try to square and straighten all four sides with this track saw. I would go very slow and detailed. Not only you show how to straighten and square but also show what this track saw is capable of. I have watched a lot of videos and nobody has ever done that.
Do you feel like it has enough power? The last cut that you did in the video - the saw seemed to struggle and you moved through the wood pretty slowly. Thoughts?
I mostly rip plywood with it and it has plenty of power for that. It required me going slower on the 2x material, so I notice it a little less powerful than others I tested.
How did you get this already?? I’ve been trying to test this product out since they announced but couldn’t get information out of anyone on release date and certainly not a chance to test. We do custom cabinetry and built-ins on-site so this is would be a great item to add to our Ridgid tool line-up. Thanks for the review. Great to see it in operation even if I can’t put my own hands on it.
You missed a lot in the review. Window on the side of the saw, riving knife?,how clean was the cut…any tear out, arbor size?, weight, power, build quality, how it compares to other track saws. May need a follow up video….
@@derickbrown8471It's at Home Depot USA. I have been searching on Amazon USA and Amazon México. Nothing yet! I didn't realize that this was so new. They need to flood the market.
I know Rigid’s lack of response on the release is losing them business. I was in need of a track saw and couldn’t wait anymore so I bought one. I know of several other people I know that have done the same. No telling how many more have bought because they are in need of a track saw.
Thanks for your tip about the clamps to support the cutoff from falling to the ground before finishing the cut. Nice.
Glad to hear it was helpful.
For the depth adjustment, what's the difference between the white markings and the orange markings next to it?
One set of markings is for using the saw on the track/rails and the other is for using the saw without them.
@@MarkThomasBuilder Thanks!
Great video thanks for the info. When looking at hd website its sold as tool only is that what you see?
Yes, I thought it was going to include a battery in the kit. The new 12Ah is awesome in the saw.
I really wish they had put the blade on the left side
Will the Ridgid tracks work with festool type track squares and accessories?

Great idea! Thanks, I'll give that a try.
Thanks for replying. You are a gentleman. Usually people do not respond. Have a very productive day.
Thanks for the info Mark!
Thanks, good seeing you, yesterday! 👋
Can't wait for this!! Great review and always appreciate your Ridgid reviews!!
You bet, thanks for sharing!
Just scored mine. It's $60 less this Labor Day weekend. Thanks for the video
That's cool! Stay tuned for more Ridgid news that will be out soon.

For the money I'm buying the Kreg track saw, I have Ridgid battery tools and For a track saw I want a power cord.
Ridgid released a new 8Ah and 12Ah battery that will give this saw all the power it needs.
Hey Mark can or will you do a review on the new ridgid backpack sprayer?
I'll do my best to get one up on the channel soon. Stay tuned!

I'm planning on posting some more shorts content with this, hopefully in the next few days.
Any idea when they will be available in Canada? She looks awesome!
I thought I heard the tools normally take somewhere between 2-3 months to be available.
Nice. Not a festool but a 1/3 the price and I can use the batteries I own.
Yes, good point!🙌
It looks great good price. I'm waiting for a Domino cutter
Yeah, it's a great value! I like that sound of that Domino cutter.🙌
Can you tell ridgid just to release it by now
🙌💯
Score cuts usually are cut in the opposite direction

Follow up video will be in the works.
How is everyone getting this when it's not even available anywhere!?!?!
I can’t find it either. Been waiting for a year!!!

Would you spend extra money if this track saw came with a carrying case? What else would you like to know about this saw?
You rig something up ridgids pack Cases
😎⚒️😎⚒️😎
😎🙌
Yeah since it's called a track saw not a rail saw 😅
Good point! 🙌
