That’s great for you but I have a 4090 i9 desktop my steam deck oled could NEVER replace that 😂😂
True but for over 90% of PC games your desktop is overkill. I have the money to buy a 4090 desktop but for me there isn't enough PC games that requires it to justify the cost.
@@smidlee7747 how is it over kill looks insane and the performance is insane
@@chilllovetaflex As you admit, it's insane. A sane person don't require 240 fps at 4k.
I'm not saying there is no benefit but over 90% of PC games it's overkill.
@@smidlee7747 😂 a sane person would definitely chose to game on a 4090 but ok would you rather drive a Honda or drive a Lamborghini if you had the choice?
@@chilllovetaflex For every day use I would rather drive my Honda Civic. I would be sick if my Lamborghini got wrecked. That's a great example of a overkill.
I sold my gaming laptop and Xbox. I play all my games on my OLED Steam Deck
WWW
HOOOLY what a 5Head decision man, damn dude you’re a genius 😎
Hey man, I came over from Reddit, I love this video! I feel like this is a pretty good length for your videos. You have the talent, quality, and content to make it, keep at it!
you're awesome. thank you so much 🙏
Nice video! I have also been using my Steam Deck more than my gaming PC too!
Thank you so much! It's hella convenient
Nothing replaces my 4090 desktop PC but i am getting the Steam Deck OLED as an addition to progress on my back catalogue of games.
Definitely worth it!
love the video, stellar content! :D
Glad you enjoy it!
Great vid bro!
Appreciate it!
Great video! I might buy one...
thank you! Totally worth it 👌
That ending had me wondering if I lost my internet.😂
I rambled on so I just cut out haha
my steam deck replaced my gaming pc, I have a 1060 6gb, i5 10400f and 16gb of ram IM more in love with my steam deck :D
I was thinking about getting an emulation handheld. I was leaning towards one just because for a fraction of the price of a Deck, they seem alright. But then I worry, will I even get it in the mail? Will it be damaged? Is it reputable? On the other hand, I do not own a gaming pc, this is by far and large a less expensive way to get that, AND it’s a handheld besides, I kinda want a Deck more now than ever
It's always good to weigh your options before making a purchase. Researching the reputation of the seller and reading reviews can help alleviate some of your concerns.
I have gaming laptop not using anymore because of my oled sd. my games are GoT, final fantasy 7 remake, sekiro, elden ring , witcher 3, days gone and more.
Will be buyung Steam Deck too but for emulation purposes (I liked all in one) and mid level gaming.
The fact that I can use Ps4 controllers on SD is a big relief.
Well, it’s hard to replace my $3k Alienware x15 R1 laptop with an RTX 3080 (not the newest gpu but still awesome and respectable) for the Steam Deck Oled, but it sure is a great companion 😊👍🏻
Definitely one hella of a companion 🙌
I see no reason to replace the gaming PC with the SD OLED, having them live side by side allows you to leverage the power of the PC from the Deck.
I 100% recommend running a server instance of PalWorld on a PC and connecting to it from the Deck, but I'm just enjoying LAN gaming with family from the Deck.
Sounds like you've got the ultimate gaming setup going on! Enjoy those LAN gaming sessions with your family!
Waiting for the deck 2 to replace my pc. Since i bought my oled, my pc is collecting dust. Hard to go from oled back to lcd even though its a 32in 2k hdr panel. Still cant justify letting the pc go since i use it for more than gaming and the deck cant handle the heavy hitters that well. Something like alan wake 2 which ive yet to dive into, ill want all the eye candy. However, my oled has a boatload of emulated games and 90% of my library is compatible. We're almost there.. if we can get series S performance on a 1080 oled with good battery life, I'll sell the desktop in a hurry.
I'd rather play my games while lying down in my bad after a long day of working rather then sitting at my pc playing games. It's uncomfortable for my back, ass, overall not comfy. But my steam deck in hand, all my sace files on the cloud. I'm ready to play again
it sounds like adobe voice enhance is used here. it makes your voice sound robotic
Yeah I noticed it was pretty bad, I found my old mic so no more adobe enhance lol
I've heard of quite a few people replacing their desktop PC with a Steam Deck and I definitely can understand why. The Steam Deck experience is just that good. But for me personally, I still prefer to keep my powerful desktop PC for really demanding games and the few games that don't easily work on the Deck, or when I just want that high end kind of experience. But the Steam Deck is an amazing companion device that honestly gets most of my play time. My desktop PC gets the next most usage and my PS5 is mostly collecting dust.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! It's always interesting to hear how different gaming devices fit into people's lives.
Hey can you play most games exclusive to steam on the steam deck. I know this question sounds redundant but from what ive heard from researchbthere are certain titles not supported for it. I already have a ps5 and switch, and having access to steamngames will complete my gaming set up, but i jsut dont know if i have the time and convinience to buy and checklist PC parts if in the of the day i just want to play games that run at 60fps. It would be big help for the advice. And thanks for the video.
I've been playing all my games on the steamdeck, you're definitely gonna love it. But Playing games that are too crazy, like cyberpunk, you can run it at 30fps but I dont consider it playable. But for 90% of the games you wanna play, its gonna be great
Cyberpunk is totally playable now
5:40 6:18 this pretty much summs up why I got a windows handheld instead lol
I wouldnt say for me it replaced it, i use both the steam deck to stream on my pc as well as local play. I just really like laying on my bed to play games
Bed gaming is so chill, It's all about that cozy gaming setup, right?
I would like to see how you run these some PS3 game titles on this hardware - you will run something, but it won't be playable. More of a curiosity ;)
I just made a new video, also covered PS3, check it!
i’m a lurker from reddit. looks really good to me! my only thought is i’d take off the hat because your facial expressions are being hidden by it. what i’m interested in is how you’re doing the emulating. i dont know how to use it for emulating so thats info i’d like to be taught. maybe others are curious too.
just posted a short on how emulate it!
gta on it sends you to the online pc servers and yk how it is.
yeah but there isn't any other portable device that will take you to console servers 🤷♂️
I have an lcd and it has better specs than my pc which is $300 more lol

to me the steamdeck is an incredible device and it showed to me that 1. graphics isnt everything 2. even 800p can look good... when im playing on the deck... im not like "eeew im getting eye cancer"... altough i have an 4k gaming pc, but even playing on a large screen, im not that disgusted as i think i would and i play even doom eternal a while on 720p on a 4k monitor, and i didnt thought about the graphics after a while...
and the performance is good enough.... people often see what they cant do but seeing even titles like red dead redemption 2, witcher 3, even cyberpunk running on this shows that there is enough performance for thousands and thousands of titles...
i would not mind having the steamdeck as my only gaming device!!!
YEah 4090 pc with 4k ultrawide monitor...im good lmao
Yeah, maybe it would be a dope addon to your setup, so whenever you're on the go, all your steam saves are gonna updated on the deck
yuzu or ryujinx
yuzu
It would be basically impossible to expect as much as a pc out of it. Sure, its great value but you cant upgrade it, cant replace parts (without a light but still casually daunting amount of knowhow), or perform comperable to a $600 machine. Its not like there are no tradeoffs.
A laptop cant replace a PCs power, and PC cant replace a laptops portability, and the deck tries to be both and while it doesnt fail *AT ALL* that doesnt mean it is both. Its neither. And its fine.
All that to say that swapping to the deck only for me would maybe make me stop gaming as much. And im talking about docked with kbm and i still would remember im on a deck, not a pc frequently. Between throttling, playing at =
I totally see it, definitely is more of a compliment than replacing
i desire to play R6 siege on this thing
oh wait i cant
The steam deck could never bro chill with the cap.. maybe a gpd Ayan or any other powerful device but not deck it's trash. I'm so happy I upgraded from it.
glad you found something that works for you!
I saw one of these in a shop window. They are hilariously big.
yeah true, but once you start using it, its gonna feel wayyyy smaller
I am also came from Reddit, all good, but in my humble opinion, too many tags. try upload your newest video to a new channel, always works the best
what do you mean?
You make it sound like it's just easy to play any game on it. Installing third party launchers is a pain, and games with anti-cheat don't work at all. Sure it's still a fantastic device, but it does have limitations your video completely ignores.
you do make some valid points, I'm going to cover the faults in the next video
Yep its why a lot if people go for competitors, the travelling occasional gamer is more likely to want to play things like CoD or other mainstream multiplayer games.
I gave up trying to get my brain to understand how to play assassins creed on it
u can literally play any game on it, just not the ones that companies don't allow u to, i have downloaded all kinds of games and mods on it, unless ur rtrded u can make any game work
Uhh it’s pretty simple do all of this. I have one and I’ve had no issues.
poor guy anyone who replace his pc with a low low end Steam deck 😂
It's just nice to chill and watch a show will playing games on a oled screen on the couch, its the vibes man :)
Personally a modded switch OLED makes more sense for me. Can still do emulation, play switch titles, stream games from my desktop PC, good battery life, WAY more portable and light, equally good OLED display, and much cheaper than the base SD OLED.
That sounds like a great setup! Enjoy gaming on your modded Switch OLED.
It can't emulate all the consoles the Steam Deck can. Nor can it play the tens of thousands of PC games available on the Steam Deck.
I honestly don't notice much difference in battery life between my Switch and my Deck OLED. Especially when playing the sort of games the Switch can handle.
Must of had a shit pc lol, people hyping this device to much .I also own one its weak .I look for performance .
no it will not replace desktop, new games will need more powerful hardware. steam did not upgrade the hardware and its a 2 year old hardware. once games developers stop optimizing games for the steam deck it will struggle to play the games.
That PC must have been some trash tho.
it was, its a razer blade 🤢
