I went to a local ukulele jam…mainly seniors playing (I’m not a senior)…and sure enough, this was played. They like the song and more importantly, it is pretty easy to play.
@@ukeplayalongs - I AM a senior (grew up with The Beatles) and recently attended my first local ukulele club gathering. Most of those were seniors also : ) My older brother and his wife in Oregon played with a ukulele group that played for fun and at their local seniors centers (he died Nov. 2019 and she gave up ukulele - she played just to be with him). Interesting seeing the different expensive ukuleles people have... I have several ukuleles now, but learned about them from Rich Davis! ("Trash" meeting "Cash"?)
I’d do more Beatles, but their music is restricted by the copyright owner (Apple Music [not Apple as in the computer])? One more note: the way RUclips does comments, I don’t see replies to my replies in the comment feed unless I dive deeper down…so in the future, on my channel and others, I suggest just leaving a second new comment instead of a threaded “reply to a reply” comment. Wonderful!!! As beginner shall try to accompany that song with Ukulele. Greetings from Germany. I love such music but could not play it with my other instruments like accordion or brass instrument. But now with Ukulele it is possible and most probably with Guitar too or guitar Banjo.
Yes, Beatles records during their last couple of years as a band were released by their own business, called Apple. It involved their music, clothing, jewelry and other things that were (and still are) tightly controlled by the Corportion. The Beatles name and images are "Holy" and strictly protected. Used to be Beatles stuff was controlled by NEMS licensing and everything had to pass through that for approval... then came Apple Corps (a pronunciation play on words). Yeah Yeah Yeah!
We worked with a music technology company a bit as we recorded some podcasts for the Music Education & Technology Podcast, and that company made guitar education software. They mentioned that still, in the late 2010s, the Beatles songs were the most used by their subscribers-and that licensing remains tricky with Apple.
