Thats cool. The front ensemble in a marching band sounds fun, especially if its the MDB. I play the clarinet though. Its still fun, but probably not as fun.
We don't anymore. We have pearl bass, tenor and snare stands now in the stadium. This was the senior bowl in Mobile, AL so...we never brought our stands to this. Not enough room.
HAHA....No Problem. Well, I'm there...the drummers wanted videos of themselves, hence I do the videos. =) Next year will be a different story....I will be in the videos! ;-)
okie dokie. Yeah I know who you are talking about. He's a rookie this year. Yup he is sure to have a fun time with us. Thats all we do together. We are one BIG happy family. =)
No. TRUST me. There was maybe 13 cymbals but there was Definitely 15 front ensemble members: jenny, jim, mallory, stephanie, maghan, courtney, mereidth, scotty, michael, lameuriea, rich, bob, julia, andrew and wes. If you count Mercedes that makes it 16. So technically I'm right. The end.
To tell you the truth....mostly because of different outlooks and attitudes towards the percussion section. So people just had done it for like 3-4 years and were tired of it....others just didn't like the attitude of the person in charge. Who knows....this is just what I have heard from others. Still a good size percussion.
HAHA....well thats the whole band. The percussion and the band are like not close to each other. The percussion is its own family...last year it was 57 people. This years its about like 30 something. Smaller family but just as much heart.
I think it slipped maybe like once all season. Majority of the time it stays. Oh yeah really? Who? There are like 8 cymbals this year so it could be anyone.
Okay so I pulled a number out of my ass. But it was around 50, trust me. For the many times I grabbed plumes I should know: 6 basses 6 tenors 11 snares 14 cymbals 14 front ensemble= 51 members
Cool video, although I dont remember hearing this on TV during the game, maybe it was played during a commercial. But still, awesome! Roll Tide!
Always love seeing this!!
