@@timsmith5980 Hi, Wycombe has recently been added to the xbox version - the rest of our airports are currently in the backlog for the marketplace team to ingest 🙂
@@PilotPlus Great news! I believe MS are adding to their ingestion team! A detailed Heathrow would be a bonus as well as the new Istanbul major hub! Also Antalya!
Thanks, Mark, I really love the work Burning Blue Design and Pilot Plus are doing, two of the best scenery developers who just happen to be developing a lot of airports where I live! Will have to pick up Bristol as I don't have that yet, and Oxford oh and I don't have Farnborough yet either LOL! Ah well, Christmas is around the corner...
Excellent video Mark. After flying the sim in VR since last December I've only recently started buying payware airports. Living in Devon, Superspud's freeware across Devon and Cornwall was so good that I didn't need to buy anything locally. I watched Steve's video review of Bodmin airfield which got me into Burning Blue Design, and I've bought all seven now. Haven't tried any Pilot Plus yet but they look great. The Bristol airport will definitely be my next choice! Of the airfields I've tried so far, Popham has been my favourite, incredibly well done, with petrol stations and Costa's even modelled either end of the airfield.
Hi Mark, Very interesting, thanks. Would be interested in your Top Ten Freeware airports, RAF Valley is an interesting one. But Radar in WW1 ? ! The Sound Locators (or Mirrors) stem from 1916 and the 1924 Romer Report on the Air Defence of UK. Cheers, Chris
Totally agree with you. Bought Bristol from Orbx at launch day. You can't buy directly from PP if you are from out the UK, Brexit has it effects there too ;-) Had to buy it at Orbx. I Own all BBD airports thanks to Steve VR FLT SIM Guy's honest reviews just like yours. Love their Airports a lot. I have to much payware in UK I tend to fly there a lot. Belgium, were I live does not get much payware love so I also the reason I'm over the UK a lot. But because I love live weather I do own almost all payware in Hawaii and Sint Martin because later in the evening the sun is still out at those places :-) Great choices you have!
A great list - thank you, Mark. I'll definitely be checking out those which I don't yet have. Two of my favourites which I own and weren't included in your top 10 are London Oxford (another by Pilot Plus) and Pyreegue's Edinburgh - both excellent quality with good interiors.
Meigs Field. The developer did an amazing job (I just have the free version but the pro version is on my buy list). The only thing missing (thankfully) are the bulldozers that destroyed the real Meigs. ;)
Simhanger, I need help! In my simbrief flight plan for the 15OCT21, on the 3rd page in the times section is shows a time for out, off, on, and in. Do you know what this means?
I can. These are called OOOI times in airline language. The first, 'out', is the first occasion the aircraft moves (pushback or roll), the second, 'off', is the airborne time, the third, 'on', is the landing time and the fourth, 'in', is the stop (bridge or ramp spot). Hope that helps
Thank you Mark, you blew me away by including Bryce Canyon,I am very honoured.
Cheers

One airport worth metioning is, Aerosofts- ENVA Trondhiem, a favorite om mine!
Sorry if some of the video is stuttering…my fault …recorded at 60fps and when putting the video together rendered at 24fps….not the scenery. 😤
It’s great stuff Mark! Especially like Meigs, Bristol and Wycombe! Are they also available for the Xbox?

Thanks for this. I have many of the same airports.
Do you have a version of the freeware airports you like the most?
Yes, if there is enough interest in this sort of video I was thinking of doing my top 10 freeware 😀

Agree with everything.
Southend is also one of my favourites.
Just wish someone would do Biggin Hill.
