I am very familiar with this fruit. i have a couple trees growing in my backyard. It's a very nice and delicious fruit and very juicy also. I know of a few trees growing in the Guy's Hill area of St Catherine. Thank you very much for another informative, thoughtful and entertaining video. Please keep up the good work.

Whooo this fruit is nice i am a jamaican, and i found this fruit in South Australia 2 years ago anf i made a drink with it, this fruit is loaded with benefits Loquats are particularly high in carotenoid antioxidants, which boost the immune system. A strong immune system is important for fighting off sickness. Early research shows that loquat fruit and leaves may help prevent cancer. Antioxidants in loquat fruit help suppress cancerous tumor growth.

I had that fruit but had to cut it down as it was making a mess of my neighbors pool. I did not know the nutritional value.

Wow! I'm surprised the Loquat is there in Jamaica. It's a fantastic fruit. It tastes great (mixture of pineapple, orange and a tinge of mango). The only drawback is that its shelflife is very short. Hence you won't see it on supermarket shelves as it doesn't ship well. there are quite a few varieties of the Loquat fruit. They differ in fruit sizes, sweetness, and the amount of seeds in each fruit. It bears in abundance and you wont regret planting a tree or two.
